In interviews she certainly comes across that way, but that can be just as much an affectation as acting.
We often wish for actors to be much alike to their characters, but there’s no way to know unless you are personally acquainted with them. Presumably none of us participating in this thread are.

No, it was actually one of the first new shows picked up for a full season.
That was the basis for this thread, a lot of people put her as her character. It was not just The New Girl, it has been a consistent part. She plays the anti Hollywood actress.

I knew she was Bone’s sister and that I liked her on Weeds and hated her in the Wizard of Oz thing she did. Strangely, I find Jessie pretty annoying and not at all ‘cute’, am very upset Coach didn’t make it to the regular series and was replaced by Generic Black Guy. Douchbag doesn’t bother me at all. But I will stay tuned for the will-they-or-won’t-they interplay between Newly Dumped Guy Jessie that is sure to develop.
