Just what we need, another no tackle, no cover meathead of a Safety.
12 (76) Giants - Chad Jones, FS, LSU
13 (77) Titans - Damian Williams, WR, USC.
I like this pick.
14 (78) Panthers - Brandon LaFell, WR, LSU
Another pick that fills a need. I’m not sold on him, but they really need a WR to take the heat off Steve Smith.
I could have even stomached Chad Jones if they insisted on a FS. Dear god, we’re going to give up 1200 points this season.
So, are the Giants planning on drafting anyone who isn’t described as being “raw, but with upside”? I’m getting a vibe here that this is Jerry Reese’s first big whiff of a draft.
Oh, and they should draft some goddamn offensive linemen, as both depth and age are issues up front. Would’ve loved to see them take the C/G that the Steelers grabbed in the 1st Round.
TRADE!!
14 (78) Chargers - Donald Butler, ILB, Washington
From what I gather the Packers sent their 4th round pick to move up in the 3rd to grab Burnett. I like Burnett, and there was no way he was going to be around when they picked, so I’m good with it. But it is a stiff price.
It’s okay, you’ve got that great Pro Bowl QB you traded for that’s capable of putting up 1300 points.
16 (80) Broncos - J.D. Walton, C, Baylor
The McDaniels fiasco continues.
I’m not sure I remember a draft in which the experts’ Big Boards were more divergent from the NFL teams than this one. It’s just insane.
Random question. Mayock was referring to someone as “long-levered.” WTF is that supposed to mean?
17 (81) Texans - Earl Mitchell, DT, Arizona
18 (82) Steelers - Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Southern Methodist
ROFL at all the Giants fans booing Deion.
19 (83) Falcons - Corey Peters, DT, Kentucky
I think he’ll do well in the NFL. Sure he’s no Mike Neal, but then again who is?
20 (84) Bengals - Jordan Shipley, WR, Texas
Shipley might actually be a decent fit in Cincy. He’s not an every down player but they are putting some weapons around Palmer. Who had the prop bet for Shipley getting drafted ahead of McCoy?
21 (85) Browns - Colt McCoy, QB, Texas.
Finally. About where he should go.
There is nobody that Mayock doesn’t like. His commentary is completely worthless because he justifies every damn pick. I’d love to see him (or Kiper for that matter) really chew someone out live on the air.
22 (86) Eagles - Daniel Te’o-Nesheim, DE, Washington.
I know next to nothing about him, other than he started to show up on the “sleeper” lists the last couple weeks.
