Gasoline? No way!

Napalm, man.

(Mostly because of I’d like to see her covered in something that’s basically volatile petroleum jelly. Yes, I’m that evil.)

Heh, Jack and Jane go up the hill to fetch the evil Saunders.

Sounds cool. Unfortunately, it might not have worked at the time (I guess Tony could get in touch with Kim, but I don’t think she’d do it even if she had the knife). Plus it’s not impossible that Saunders would sacrifice Jane.

Here’s hoping Tony tells Jack right away somehow, but I don’t think so. This is gonna get real messy otherwise, since San Francisco (and some other city) is still only a phony call away from an outbreak.

Just seeing her covered in regular old petroleum jelly would be good enough for me.

Thank you. That scene was so odd to me. I didn’t see the other drivers. It makes total sense now. Funny thing is that I wouldn’t have doubted it for a minute if it was a tactic that Jack had to use to keep Kim from getting raped by a mountain lion. It was the fact that the guys behind Jack could pull the same move.

Funny stuff about the Kim and Jane ride. However, at the time Jack took the helicopter they had 2 (count 'em) points of leverage. The first being, of course, his daughter. The second being his actual location. Jack decided that the man himself was more important then guarding those look-a-like-hotties. I gathered it would take more time to get a second chopper than to just drive. But you are right, the whole thing screamed “Kidnap us!”. That setup was intentional though, and such is the price we pay for a nice head-fake.

One thing that killed me about that Kim/Jane conversation: Listen. Kim. Honey. My little fuck-kitten. My mindless pleasure vixen. When you are at work, can you try to use phrases like ‘Agent Bauer’. I mean, I know he really is your Dad and all, but “My dad is gonna bring him in. . .” sounds a bit unprofessional. I almost expected you to say “Na-na-na-na-na-na” afterwards. “Shut up! Or my dad will arrest yours!” must have been an anthem for Kim when she went to school.

DaLovin’ Dj

Right – would have taken more time, but still – at least put more agents around them than just the one car. Sheesh – has Jack already forgotten season 1, when Kim was in the backseat of the car with two cops in the front, escorting her from jail back to CTU, and a van pulled out of nowhere, rammed them, killed the cops, and grabbed Kim? That was just too easy.

And then Kim sees a suspicious looking guy when they are about to leave, and just shakes it off thinking, “Oh, it’s probably nothing.” She should know better by now. Even if it was nothing, don’t take the chance. (That was another “Kidnap us!!!” move… ;))

On that hanging out the car bit – I wasn’t sure at first, either. Rewound and rewatched that part of the tape, and there’s a couple of quick glimpses of the driver – an arm when they start, and a quick camera flash past him when they park in sight of the building.

I don’t think he is going to (or has done so). Remember, we have another 3 hours to go. SS can’t be caught until the last hour.
