Did they ever go back to the old man (the actor who played Mr. Raines on The Pretender) who surprised Curtis at the office building and killed Marianne in an earlier episode? I got the feeling he was supposed to be a major villain, perhaps relating to the shadowy conspiracies from earlier seasons, but I don’t think they followed up on him since Jack rescued Curtis.
I thought he turned out to be a security guy for McClennan Forrester and got killed by Curtis? Or am I conflating two separate plot points?
I don’t think he was with McClennan Forster, but I think you’re right – he was a security guy at the office that Curtis took Marianne to, and I think the recently-escaped Curtis got him (when he was wandering loose in those locked-off floors).
What is starting to bother me more and more is that we have Jack Bauer out in the field, pretty much solo besides a few dispensable “back-up” guys.
Meanwhile, back at CTU, Tony and Curtis are just shuffling papers and playing spider solitaire. Let’s get all three of them in the field for a major ass kicking!
Not just shoot down AF1, but shoot down AF1 for no #&*@-ing reason whatsoever
I didn’t really like this President. And the “well, son, my highly paid gifted speech writers are doing a horrible job - but you, who can barely string a five words together at a time. You write my speech” did not work for me. Not at all. So, I was more or less ok with seeing it fall.
But I’d still like a reason for the terrorists. Again, “America sucks” is just not enough. Why does it suck? What, specifically, did it do? What do you want in the future? I know this about most other terrorist groups - some of them have flimsy, stupid answers to those questions, but answers nonetheless.
Usually going to their country and causing women to show their ankles and/or supporting the Israelis in their efforts to stay alive.
Just in case anybody happened to miss it…
Fox is replaying this one (Ep. 16) tonight (Sunday, Apr. 10) at 9:00 PM.
There were logical holes, as always, but I still thought this one got the show out of the doldrums it’d been in for the last couple of weeks. AF1 being attacked wasn’t a surprise, but at least it was dramatic.
