There’s something fishy going on-- I was thinking the same thing. Or, maybe it’s just that TerroristMom has a mother’s soft spot for her TerroristBoy. I think that someone is going to “defect”. Maybe it’ll even be TerroristBoy because…
TerroristDad makes him shoot his girlfriend in the next episdoe. But you can bet that if he defects to CTU, he won’t have very much info to give them.
You mean nuclear launch codes are being carried around by some guy who takes Amtrak? We’re leaving the security of the planet in the hands of some guy who’s on perhaps America’s least secure and least reliable form of transportation?
Was one of the terrorists (the one who received the briefcase from TerroristKid) played by Peter Macdissi, the guy who played the obnoxious art teacher in “Six Feet Under”?
I need to re-watch the first part of the episode. Didn’t it seem like someone else was after the briefcase and was about to make a move for it before the train exploded? And isn’t bombing an entire train just for one man a little risky? What if the authorities came along before BikerDude to get to the case? What if the guy attached to the briefcase was in the bathroom at the time and was completely crushed?
According to TV Guide TerrorMom agreed play the role over if it wasn’t just another story about mindless Muslims attacking Americans for Great Allah (my words). Larry Mudd, I think you’re on to something.
Well, of course – he’s her son, and they are a happy little terrorist family.
Join us for another exciting episode of “Leave It To Bahrooz”! Ward and June Evil scold the young Bahrooz for not breaking up with his Snak Cake of a girlfriend.
Li’l Debbie: Can Bahrooz come out an play?
June: I’m sorry young lady, but he’s grounded.
Li’l Debbie: Aw, gosh gee willikers!
Yeah, and that worries me. I do not need this to turn into another “Oh the poor Islamic terrorists are just misunderstood and it’s the military-industrial complex that’s the real bad guy” dumbass plot.
That’s another part that didn’t make any sense. Why did they keep handing the phone over to him so that he could break up with the girlfriend? Why didn’t they just act like dictatorial/overprotective parents have acted throughout the existance of the telephone and scream at her “My son is not going to see you again. Quit calling. Quit coming over. Stay away from him.” and hanging up on the girl.
This “You need to tell her…” crap was just asking for trouble. Even in families that are not trying to launch a secret terrorist mission.
You mean you can’t get from anywhere in LA to anywhere else in 5 minutes?
I love this new 24 where everyone is trying to work within the realm of reality except for Jack “Loose Cannon” Bauer. How do you plan to interrogate this suspect without shooting him in the knee? There’s no we we can find him without a crazy car chase. Duh.
Perhaps some sort of “proof” that they intend to use in the so-called trial against Heller. Some evidence of something that the government is doing (maybe something from the Defense Dept) that they are intending to use in their broadcast.
but then, I could be wayyyyyyyy off. Maybe it’s a voodoo doll that’s going to re-animate Sherry Palmer’s corpse, after which she will attempt to take over the Presidency.
I pray this is not the case as well. But I did laugh out loud when Heller told his son “Spare me your sixth grade Michael Moore logic” in the house. I couldn’t have said it better myself.
(i just remembered of my own major nitpick from the Sunday double-header. sorry i forgot to include it in my previous blarg.)
lessee… Jack’s been officially separated from CTU for… how long now? at least a year, right? AND THEY HAVEN’T CHANGED THE FRICKIN’ CODES TO THE INTERROGATION ROOMS SINCE THEN???
I don’t think it’s that they’re misunderstood fundamentalists. This is pure speculation on my part, but I think their motivations are something else entirely. I don’t know what, but you know they’re going to throw you a curve somewhere. Plus, they just don’t scream fundie nutjob to me. Some type of nutjob, sure, but they could have other motivations. Maybe personal hatred for Heller (or somebody else) the way the Drazen family had it in for Jack in Season 1. And the military-industrial complex is always the bad guy on some level; that’s just the way it is.
