24: Season 5: Episodes 11-12 (5:00pm - 7:00pm)

So what in the world does Henderson know?
It is so important that he’s willing to undergo excruciating chemical torture, that threatens his life.
It is so earthshaking that “Jack, you don’t want to know what I know.”
Jack: “OK, tell me, and I’ll decide for myself. Thought so.”
What is it!?

But if whatever didn’t happen shouldn’t not happen again…

I’m so confused. Did Mike just give Aaron permission to bang Jean Smart? Sounds like a hell of a benefits package.

So…EDGAR! NOOOOOOOO! He was always so pathetic - and he died with a pathetic look on his face. Poor Edgar.

Curtis - nice run. Now someone explain to me WHY THE HELL THERE ISN’T A PORTABLE CONTAINER? Why did the guys in the zoot suits have to run along in front of Curtis - they seemed to be in his way. Why the hell did Buchanan have the area (not just the hospital) evacuated…but there’s still hundreds of people hanging out RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE HOSPITAL?

Was there ever a guy on TV (I hesitate to say EVER because I’ll piss off some Doper, I’m sure) named Barry who wasn’t a total twat?

Hey Carrie! Good news! You’ve got your job back! Maybe you can write a report on why lighting in CTU’s server room SUCKS!

Did we see The Hobbit get moved anywhere? Shouldn’t he be toast? Is there any chance at all that he won’t Valiantly Make Up For Killing 40% Of CTU Through Paranoia by offing himself and helping jack against the gas?

Computer-controlled ventilation system? Yeah, like nobody ever thought of, you know, turning it off. WTF? I know of public high schools that can do that! Instantly! All it would have taken was a line saying, “I can’t turn it off! I’m locked out!”. Of course, they apparently never came up with that brilliant plan at the hospital, either.

Of course, we’ve got surveillance cameras all over CTU…but apparently nobody actually monitors them. See, the room where Carrie got knifed was the same room that Jack Killed Nina, I believe. There was a camera in there THEN…

Regarding Terrorist Gassy McGas Who Looks Like David Caruso…umm…he walked in with, like, a briefcase, right? And those cannisters are the size of my thigh…

My thigh won’t fit in a briefcase.

No Chase? Awww…I’m gonna miss that lumpy-headed chump. Not really. The fucker always annoyed me. It was like he wanted to be Black Bauer before we know what a Black Bauer would be like. And he wasn’t nearly cool enough.

When Edgar showed up after the gas was loose my first thought (when everyone looked horrified) was “Oh shit! He might be big enough to make it through the glass!” Cruel, I know.

I too noticed Kim’s acne problem. Still, that’s real life for you. Cinema Verite - 24 Style!

Just a wild-ass guess, but…

VP Leland Palmer was the mastermind behind the nerve gas plot

I had forgotten about that rant. Thanks for reminding me. One would think that CTU screens packages entering the building. One would be wrong. Of course, when you can sneak a large canister of nerve gas inside a smaller briefcase, CTU screening procedures mean little to you.

Perhaps, but spoilers have said that Barry will be around for two more episodes. They also say that the other character to die is a “well loved actor” but not necessarily a well loved character…now, neither Lynn nor Barry is a well loved character, but I wouldn’t consider C Thomas Howell a “well loved actor.”

I was thinking that Barry might come in handy later on. After all, he’s had experience with aliens and psychopaths. :stuck_out_tongue:

(“E.T.”, “H.G. Wells’ War of The Worlds”,“The Hitcher”)

I kinda beleive him. He’s been pretty persistant about his innocence, and we all know that violating CTU protocols doesn’t necessarily mean you’re up to something bad.

But trying to kill Jack does.

But really, won’t someone think about the CTU’s HR department? Lots of paperwork now. And think of the cost to taxpayers to send flowers to all those funerals.

But maybe some bright bulb will think, “Hey, maybe we ought to start screening our employees.” Oh, wait, sorry, really silly of me to think that.

Pfft. That just makes him stupid and/or suicidal.

As I commented to my girlfriend last night (she’s just started watching in the last couple weeks), “If Rambo and God teamed up against Jack Bauer they still wouldn’t have a chance.”

-Joe

You know the difference between Jesus and Jack Bauer? Jesus only came back from the dead ONCE.

I hope not. The Evil 2nd in command is so cliche.

Jack: “Tell me what I want to know”
Henderson: “I…”
Jack: “What?”
Henderson: “I’m gay, Jack”
Jack: “That’s it? That’s your big secret?”
Henderson: “I didn’t want my wife to know that I’m screwing the Secertary Heller’s son. It would kill her”.
Jack: “I just wasted 3 hours trying to get that?”
Jack riddles Henderson’s body with bullets for wasting his time.

At least we can rest easy knowing that Edgar elicited the most emotion Chloe has ever shown, an “oh my god” out of Jack Fucking Bauer, and the silent clock, perhaps the greatest honor one can receive on 24.

Where have you been the last 6 years…
d&r

You SCUMBAG! Spoiler boxes, dammit!

I liked Nina… :frowning:

This is an interesting season – not since season two have so many terrorist-enablers been True Patriots.

When Henderson said that he had a truth that Jack couldn’t handle, I thought to myself “Wow, that must be something! I can’t wait until the end of the episode when that great truth is revealed!” Silly me. I shoulda known that their going to hold back on this great revelation until episode 16, if they reveal it at all.

But it was a powerful ending. I can take people getting tortured. I can take them getting raped. I can take them getting mutilated, burned alive, electrocuted, blown up, drowned, cut in half, and beamed into a bulkhead. What I can’t abide is people scratching on windows and doors, literally dying to get into a safe place. Freaks me the hell out.

Wuss. Jack’s in the room, taking notes about how to efficiently kill. He is simply trying to figure how to minimize collateral damage. Barry is probably filming it all on his cell phone.

Actually, regarding cell phones, why is anyone in a secure facility allowed to carry one? Talk about your potential security violations!

In 24 and Nikita, I figure the facility has it’s own repeaters that monitors cell activity, encrypt calls as needed, and prevents the signals of local calls from leaving the building.

He may be bad, but once Barry is discovered, Ralph Macchio will revive his dead career, resume the role of Johnny, and save Ponyboy one more time.
