Yeah, I considered her, but I don’t know whether they were ever an “item”. It seemed to imply that he liked her and that she was into him. Either way, it didn’t last long, but she was probably lucky to escape alive (and especially her son).
Well, he’s actually a trained pilot, too. He was the one flying the small plane with the nuke out to the desert in season 2 (before George “Glowstick” Mason took over and Jack parachuted to safety). I think Jack’s also flown a helicopter in this series before. I don’t know if being able to pilot a Cessna or a chopper qualifies him to pilot an army assault drone, though. Apparently he’s not rated well on landings…
The thought had occurred. Perhaps she took a page out of Jack’s book and faked her death. But then if that’s the case, she will surely not show back up in L.A. until Jack is already shacked up with Marilyn… or Chloe… or Mike Doyle… or whoever.

You never know. He was already on the Lost island first, then came over to do a German mission, then went back to the island.
I remembered him flying a plane, but this thing looked like a fancy video game joystick and a monitor. But then, I’ve only ever taken the controls on little planes, which weren’t all electronic fanciness, so for all I know, the real planes are just a fancy video game joystick too!
Your suggestions are hilarious.
Somebody poke me with a stick. Who was the German agent now on Lost?
Durkadurkistan?
Desmond.
I’ve decided that they’re talking about Lebanon.
We know that Fayed’s brother was active in Beirut, and “al-Assad” is a common name in Syria - given the political ties between Syria and Hezbollah, and the Lebanese government’s historic incapability (or unwillingness) to stop terrorist organizations from operating in their territory with impunity, we could assume that Assad in this universe was the leader of Hezbollah or some other Lebanese terrorist group with Syrian ties.
Sketchy, I know, but it fits. (I’ve also always figured that Lebanon was one of the “three Middle Eastern countries” from season 2, incidentally.)
As already been said, Desmond (played by Henry Ian Cusick). In 2 epsiodes of 24 (season 5), he played a character named Theo Stoller, a German intelligence agent.

Saw that movie for the first time the other night on cable. I laughed so hard my stomach hurt.
