6 January 2021; A Day worth a Thread

After articles of impeachment are voted on, if the president is impeached, there is (from Senate rules in past impeachments) a day of “displaying” the articles and time for the president to, essentially, put on a defense.

It is called a “trial” in the constitution, so I don’t think 5 mins per chamber ought to cut it. But I think the 25th works, and impeachment could possibly be done in a few days if they moved quickly.

Loeffler is backing down, and will certify.

Yes…but she also doubled-down on the election being tainted.

While still saying the election was a fraud. What a sack of shit.

Probably setting up for a court case in her loss.

ABC news is now talking about how this was all part of Putin’s plans and everything is going his way.

This just in:

In the Whitehouse tonight, Rats desert stinking shit.

Film at 11.

I won’t name them here but various of the rioters whose pictures have been circulated have started to have been identified including the prick who was in Pelosi’s office with his feet on her desk.

I think you may have made a typo there. And if you did, it is still appropriate. Well done!

Best typo of the night! Or not…either way, good job!

Sore when they win, sore when they lose.

A parody of Don Henley’s “Dirty Laundry” is in there somewhere.

Watching that now, and I agree.

Like I said above, any foreign intelligence service worth its salt had people in that crowd, in the Congress. Just look for the ones who kept their faces covered the entire time. They’re the ones who walked out with thumb drives, files, more.

Weren’t they arrested? Did the police let them get out?

I’ve been away from the board for a couple of hours. Where does the EC business/count stand now?

Senate speaking for 2 hours.

The ones I saw were let out or escaped or whatever. I think that there were arrests generally though.

Not on each state, I hope?

Pre-count speeches at the moment - I’m watching C-SPAN.

The senators are still speechifying. The actual business at hand has not been addressed.

That said, most of the senators who said they will oppose the certification have walked it back and said they will certify.

Dunno about the House yet. They say they will be convening soon.

Are they committed to finishing tonight?
