Whatever happened to that guy who was seen wearing his work ID? I did feel sorry for him since apparently he was a little mentally delayed?
Let’s all go to the riiiiiot!
Let’s all go to the riiiiiot!
Let’s all go to the riiiiiiot
To overthrow the vote!
Republican activists in Michigan and Arizona tried sending the National Archives fake documents purporting to award each state’s 2020 electoral votes to Donald Trump and Mike Pence. The erroneous documents are now in the hands of the House select committee investigating the 6 January insurrection.
This is in addition to the Wisconsin fake electors.
This is like trying clean up your house with 6 dogs that have constant diarrhea.
And bite
Here’s the story of a man who did not say “hold my beer”:
You may be right that the Capitol Police intelligence unit members should be fired.
But I’m more concerned by the 1/6-related failures of the FBI–which surely had resources vastly greater than the CP, when it comes to information about those who were planning to come to D.C. to commit mayhem.
It isn’t an either/or situation and I have no idea why you’d quote me, sort of agree with me, and then declare my priorities to be messed up by bringing up something that wasn’t being discussed.
I mean, yeah, the FBI… but I’m more worried about the long-term effects of climate change on the Western US agriculture industries.
???
From the article you linked in the earlier post:
So, yes, the Capitol Police intelligence operation failed miserably. But that doesn’t mean that the FBI’s procedures were golden–plainly they failed to communicate to the CP that their assessment was wildly different to that of the CP intelligence unit.
(None of this constitutes declaring ‘your priorities to be messed up.’)
I guess that comparison would make sense if, as a nation, we decide that ‘intelligence used by the FBI is and should be completely irrelevant to intelligence used by the Capitol Police’—but I’m not sure why we would do that.
Right?! I myself am getting pretty motherfucking sick of all this motherfucking crime going on right in front our faces and nobody paying a price for it.
Dammit.
Ah, but what brand? Think of the endorsement money from the MAGAT Beer company!
Here’s some news:
‘Texan pleads guilty [to] Capitol breach role holding beer can’
They allow alcohol in court? What, was he like ‘Ah’m guilty y’Honnah. Bottoms up!’?
Going to a public debate about the Insurrection tonight. I’m printing 10 copies of the following and passing them out because the first question is “was it an insurrection or a rally gone bad?” and I literally do not want to spend my time debating facts.
Well, he loses, obviously, as well he should - but SCOTUS did cite research on brain development in striking down juvenile death penalties across the country in Roper v. Simmons (2005).
FTW!
Awesome doc! But if you’re interested in any unsolicited advice, I might take out section 1a (about Trump’s mishandling of COVID). While it’s certainly true, it’s more opinion about why Trump deserved to lose than fact about his efforts to undo his loss. It might just end up prompting arguments about COVID and take away from all your excellent documentation of the multiple insurrections.
I want to avoid any discussion as to the mood of the electorate on 11.3.2020, which is why I started with that section: “Here’s how many died. Here’s how many jobs were lost. Here’s why 81 million voted against him.” 240,000 lives and 16,000,000 jobs lost are figures I can repeatedly fire back with if this question ever comes up, and I wanted this in print.
Objectively, by the numbers, Trump deserved to lose. I believe that point needs to be addressed before anything else, otherwise the debate may turn into a “well, shouldn’t he fight an election he thought he actually won? What’s wrong with all this?” My point is “No, he didn’t win it. He sucked. 240k/16m”, and just repeat that.
Like they do when they make their arguments. Repetition, repetition, repetition, and you never back down.
No argument. But “deserved to lose” is different from “actually lost, and started multiple insurrections to try to undo the loss.” And it sounds like the debate is about the latter, not the former. But you know the crowd and the event better than I do.
Beer and nuts-maganuts!
