Sidestepping the shadenfreude (which is a different thread) it does speak that the J6 crowd is similar to the a lot of the profiles we’ve had of Qanon / SovCit / general CT followers. Many of them have numerous problems, often financial, and Trump and his stupid CT on the Stolen Election gave them something bigger than themselves to be a part of.

And of course, by major money who doesn’t care if they burn down the nation (and probably the world) if they can get ever so-slightly richer (when they already have more money than even they could likely spend in their lives) and who cares what happens to even their own kids.
Yeah, Tamara Towers was not pardoned by Trump. She was never charged in the first place and she died months ago, before the election.

Yeah, that one hit close to home - literally, as I’m in the same area. A family member does process serving as a side gig and could have easily picked that job (the jobs are picked via an app just like Uber or Lyft or DoorDash drivers use where you only see the very basics about the gig), but my relative doesn’t pack a gun like these fellows fortuitously did.
Seventeen measly years?? She got a fucking break. Injures husband, kills a mother, DUI… WTF?
Sadly, vehicular homicide, DUI or sober, tends to get lighter sentences than if the killing was done with a gun or knife or poison or…
