Happy Birthday, Anyrose!
Happy Birthday, Rosie!
I talked to my surgeon today and my pathology report was fine and everything looks good. Yay!
I also met a friend for coffee this morning. She was working crazy hours at a car dealership, but finally had to quit, since she wasn’t actually making any money. She’s hoping to restart her unemployment claim, but her appointment isn’t until the end of October! I can’t believe it’s been 10 months already. I really thought I’d have found something by now. If I end up having to move in with family, it will be even harder to find something, since they’re 20 miles from “town” and the unemployment rate is even higher in their county. OTOH, finding work while living in your car is probably impossible, so…Ok, I didn’t mean to be depressing.
Knitting pictures: Ripple scarf, scarf Clapotis, cowl, Edgar scarf.
**Happy rosie-day!!! **
**Puggy **- did I just hear you volunteer for the MMP after BooFae??
The phone was ringing as I got home - it was my MIL. I had to lock myself in the bedroom to hear here - Scruffy was barking like an idiot… Anyway, FIL has had his shoulder surgery and after they release him, they’re heading to a motel for the night. He went to an out-of-town doctor, and he needs to be seen at 8 in the morning. Good thoughts for a speedy recovery would be much appreciated.
Work was meh. Our project seems to be going very well, although I had a slide that was wonky until I took the picture off. So I had to re-do the picture - something in it was corrupted and it wouldn’t load. But I fixed it and it’s all good now.
I’ve also found that I’m a lot more productive at work when I turn off the chat program. I enjoyed the interaction with folks from other agencies till Monday when 2 people ticked me off beyond redemption. One is a periennial bitch who I usually ignore, but she got on my last nerve with her sense of entitlement. The other was a guy who I know doesn’t like Obama, but when he opined that the president had a “stick-it-to-whitey” agenda, and *no one *in the chat called him on it, I logged off. I won’t be going back. I can ignore some of the right-wing crap, but that was just too much. And I’m not nearly as aggravated at work now.
I got 10 more skeins of black wool delivered today - gotta turn them into helmet liners. Yay!
Not sure what supper will be - either leftover lasagna or pork loin. Decisions, decisions…
Happy Birthday Rosie!
Thanks for the milk frother info, dotty.
I have trip pics uploaded (with comments!), but I don’t want to post them out there for just anybody to see. So if you’re a long-time Mumper, i.e. if I’m reasonably sure you’re not a stalker, PM me and I’ll send you the link.
taxi does being reasonably sure one is not a stalker rule out BBBobbio, MBG and Special1? They seem to want to stalk the Mumper ladies.
MOOOOOOM I do believe you did indeed correctly interpret puggy’s intention to volunteer for the next available MMP. Good healin’ vibes, thoughts and prayers headed to the FIL.
Dindin tonight shall be hotdawgs. It’s quick, it’s easy and I’m feelin’ lazy. So mote it be.
Poke was yum. Ice cream now is yum. Life is good.
I’ve closed the house - it’s supposed to drop into the 40s tonight. SIL will be home tomorrow, so he can open up when the sun rises.
C’mon Firday!!
That’s all I’ve got.
Happy Birthday, Rosie!!!
Today was pretty good. I once again accomplished quite a bit and now I’m alternating between relaxing and more work.
Good thoughts headed out for FCM.
Hugs for Rebo and Mr. Rebo.
Happy Birthday, rosie!!!
I’m pretty sure that was Puggy volunteering, FCM. Although I wouldn’t mid taking the 12th as I’ll be off that Monday anyway and have a couple of MMP ideas.
Hope you find something VERY soon, Shadow! Maybe it will be easier now that you’re pain-free? Pretty knitting, by the way.
Yay for Pie getting stuff done!!!
I took 184 pictures yesterday.
It’s chilly here today, but still tolerable.
You like me! You really like me!
I look better in magenta than pink anyway, Nav
My sig to all.
Happiest of happy Birthdays, Rosie!
Hugs to the Rebos. I hope he gets the job, rebo.
Work was meh, although my boss was kind enough to buy everyone lunch today, so that was nice.
Still trying to completed a business case analysis for an advanced medical practice. Not fun, as I’m still waiting on some cost info for the equipment they want to buy. I’ve run up everything else I can do, and completed the executive and narrative summaries, but I still need the cost info and some medical info from the doc who wants this. Sigh…two days left and two AMPs to complete and staff, along with all my other work.
My head is still stuffy and my eyes are weepy. Bleh.
I’m glad it’s almost the weekend, even though I’ve got all this work on my plate.
I need to find something to drink; I feel dehydrated.
Are you jealous, Swampy?
Happy Birthday rosie!!!
I bowled a 56, a 74, and a 66 tonight. My handicap is down to 121 from 169.
{{{{{Mr, and Mrs. Rebo}}}} I hope he gets the job.
I fail at stalking. :(
Yay and {{{{}}}}, shadow.
I’ve been checking out the pictures at peopleofwalmart.com. Good Lord, those are some seriously whacked out folk in those pictures. You just gotta wonder what goes through their minds when they’re getting dressed.
I’m heating up some leftovers for chop-chop. It’s just me and Mr. Taters so I figured it would be good time to clean them up.
Hippo Birdie, rosie!
taxi, I’d have to second Dotty’s suggestion of nuking milk, then frothing with one of those little battery-operated whisks. It works quite nicely.
Though I have to admit that’s not how I do it, because I use the frother on my yuppified espresso maker instead. Yes, I know, I’m one of Those People. (And by that, I mean I’m a cheapass. I got a side-by-side coffee/espresso maker almost six years ago for under $250… compared to how many $5 lattes I’d have bought in that same time period, it paid for itself within the first year)
So I survived the 'burbs. It was as exciting and thrilling and wonderful as you’d expect a security document review in the 'burbs to be… which is to say, not at all. :dubious:
drat, drat, drat!
I goofed on the questionnaire that goes to the bankruptcy trustee. I was checking off all the appropriate boxes, but was stumped by one, so it needed a little minor research. I put the questionnaire back into its envelope with the intent of finding the info after dinner.
You can guess what happens next. Lick, lick… Didn’t realize what I’d done until after dinner. I’m sure this won’t be the first questionnaire that the trustee has received with the envelope neatly sliced open then taped shut. :smack:
Just goes to show that I can successfully navigate a mainframe system and not kill it during business hours, but sometimes, I’m not even qualified to operate an envelope.
Happy Rosie Day! I’m not sure if I’m late with that one or not but I’m sure you won’t mind stretching out your special day a bit longer, right?
So I get the next MMP and now you’ve bullied someone else into doing the one after that? You folks need to get out of that playground!
I went to the pub last night and had a little bit of this beerverage which was very nice and went down far too well. Since I still have Teh Sick, I was drinking it for medicinal purposes.
Anyway, turned out to be a late night and I didn’t sleep well 'cos my sinuses is all blocked and icky. Today they don’t feel any better so I am already looking forward to going home and it’s only just after 10am.
Hugs, yays, boos, wet fish, and good wishes to those who want 'em, and those who don’t!
Up and caffeinating - good thoughts sent to MrRebo, and anyone else looking for a job.
I’m only partly caffeinated - the rest will have to wait till I get to work! LOL Happy Thursday!
Happy belated, rosie! Sorry I missed it.
Right. Must call my mother and our former landlady today. And do laundry and grocery shopping. Envy me my exciting life.
I’d love to golf the scores you bowl.
Blurf. Stoooooopid dogs.
