I’m watching Ever After, which I was sure I’d never seen before. I have no idea when I saw it, but I’ve seen all but the very beginning, I think. Or maybe I’ve seen the beginning, but forgot it. I really like how self-sufficient Danielle (AKA Cinderella) is in this version of the story. She can rescue herself, thankyewverymuch.
Guess I should be getting ready to crawl into bed. Need to be up semi-early tomorrow.

My local video place doesn’t carry* Ever After* anymore–I may just have to go buy it.
I started watching *The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill, But Came Down a Mountain, but it (again) bored me, so I stopped. *
I am showered and shaved (legs, sillies) and even put fake tan on. It poured like the devil earlier, with some wicked lightning.
I’m bored now, but am off to bed soon.

Thanks for all the good wishes, folks! It seems to have done the trick. He’s fine, if somewhat uncomfortable. Cyst removal surgery pics. He looks funny too because he has his summer puppy cut. He’s usually so regal! 
He had to have a back tooth extracted, so his poor mouth is sore too, but he doesn’t have bad breath anymore. Yay!
LiLi - no more fires! Scary, that… I’m glad all is well.

I made the southern standard Chicken-Fried Steak tonight, with smashed NOT and green peas. We’re still eating the apple pie I made the other day, too.

I’m going to bed. I have the terminal boredoms. I wanted to watch a movie or something tonight, but nothing caught my fancy. Tomorrow is a busy day.

Up way too early on a Saturday, and I’m starting to have major animal issues. A couple of days ago, I discovered a pee puddle soaked into the carpet in front of my closet. I’m pretty sure Scruffy was responsible. We’ve also learned we have to keep Spaz out of all dirty laundry baskets because he pees in them far too often. And this morning, after bringing the dogs in, I see a poo pile in front of the TV - definitely Bernie’s doing.
What’s with the house pottying all of a sudden?? GAH!!! Guess we’ll have to take the dogs out more frequently.
Other than that, Happy Saturday. SIL is at work - he’s on the 11:30-7:30 shift - guess that’s what they do with noobs. Daughter is antsy to hear back from the summer camp, plus she heard back from a woman on a live-out nanny position that pays more and is located close to home. Decisions, decisions. The other nice thing about the nanny position - she’ll be able to stay here and help build the apartment. So we shall see.
We’ve got to go to Lowe’s before starting anything today. **FCD ** bought 4" drain and he should have gotten 3", so we’ve got a length of PVC and several fittings to return. On Thursday, Lowe’s is delivering the sheetrock, the doors, the fans, and some other stuff. So we’ll lose the use of our garage for a while. rah. Anyway, in a little while, I’ll shower, then get **FCD ** and the kid up so we can get some breakfast before running to Lowe’s. Then the fun begins. Today is cut a trench in the basement floor day! WOOHOO!! :rolleyes:

Couldn’t sleep- was having strange and powerful dreams.
Can’t remember them, but the effect lingers.
FCM- **Mr. Ivory ** says that any project involving plumbing requires three trips to the hardware store and a blood sacrifice. If you only have to return the PVC piping once, cosider yourself lucky!
**Soapy ** - I’ve already made the blood sacrifice - you should see my right arm!! And today’s trek will be the 3rd plumbing related trip so far. I expect there will be more, based on our last plumbing-related project.
On the other hand, **FCD ** wants to do it himself, so I don’t have to help. 
See? See? Three trips and blood. You can’t hide from fate…!

Bob, I actually knew that, I just forgot in the excitement of seeing uncontrolled fire in my house.
It still smells a little smoky, but I think that’s partly that I haven’t cleaned the oven out yet. That’s one of today’s jobs, beside going through my aunt and uncle’s stuff. That makes me feel guilty- my uncle is still alive, and it’s still his house and his stuff, but since he’s got Alzheimer’s, and he’s not remotely up to the task of cleaning out and deciding what to keep, it’s been taken over by the family.
I’m awake!!! Hmmmm, so I see it didn’t take long for Nat to make you a morning person.
I’ve been awake since 5:30 or so, tried to go back to sleep, but it didn’t work.

We’re having a tornado watch, even though the storm seems to have passed some time ago and there doesn’t seem to be anything heading in our direction.

morning all, up and caffeinating here–will be going out shortly. Had some of my gjetost Norweigan goat cheese this morning; my daughter does not like it (yay, more for me! LOL). It does have a very unique and strong flavor, I’ll admit. I think I need some crackers to put it on.
Glad to hear that Rebo’s pup Blaze came through surgery okay! LiLi, hope that your oven cleaning turns out okay & isn’t too messy. Hugs on taking care of your Aunt’s stuff for your Uncle.
And FCM, I hope your aminals* get their potty training back soon! It’s probably the household changes getting to them; I just hope that there are no medical issues. And you take care on the apartment building, specially since you already have a bruise! :eek:

I managed to stay in bed until about 7:30… Shocking! I’ve got to do a huge freebie lunch today for 7 people. (yeah, that didn’t really make sense, I mean it’s a large quantity of food for a small quantity of people) After that, it’s off to TVLand.

Poor Mr Rebo got up before the ass crack of dawn. I really hate that he works Saturdays so much, even if it makes his paycheck bigger. Hopefully he’ll get off early.
We’re going out to dinner at the Crimson Crustacean for dinner. I have a coupon for $4 off!
I talked to my brother last night, and we’re trying to coordinate his trip down here. He wants to go to an Astros game, so I’ve been trying to get 5 tickets online for Father’s Day. But that’s against the Yankees, so a big game in it’s own right. They only sell tickets in blocks of four online, so I’m going to go downtown to the Stadium and see what I can get.
