Purty cards, McUne. I’m in agreement with the $5 quote - I’d definitely pay at least that much for a card, tho there’s quite a markup on greeting cards here in Canadia, so we usually have to fork out about $4.50 for a shmoopy Hallmark card too. Yours are MUCH nicer.
Nooner, have you forgotten that I work with Israeli developers? I’m edging a little closer to Tel Aviv every day (mentally, anyways).
Got home around 4pm, and then spent the next 3 hrs in the garden digging a new bed. We planted some more ground covers (hens and chicks, goutweed and some creeping mazus), two giant hostas, and some potted tulips (which hopefully will survive til next spring, but I won’t be totally upset if they don’t as they were a gift and the alternative was the compost bin).
We’re having merguez sausages on the grill with some fiddleheads and yellow rice for din din. I think I’ve thoroughly earned this meal.
If I knew that people would pay $5 a card I would have started selling them a long time ago…I had no idea that people would pay that much for them. I’m blown away.
I’m home from work (actually at 5 PM) and am eating lentils again. No one touched them in the fridge, which is nice. I took a loaf out of the freezer and gave it an hour to thaw, but it isn’t thawed yet so I’m eating them with tortilla chips. Strange, but delicious.
Also, we were talking about food at various points in the day at work today, and they thought I was weird (to the point of pausing the conversation to laugh) for liking mustard with sausage (specifically McDonald’s sausage biscuits) and the combination of bacon and cantaloupe.
Mahna[sup]2[/sup], that dinner sounds like fun. And no dishes to wash!
Mama Tigs, sounds like a fun washer and dryer experience. My parents have some of those big fancy ones and they’re lots of fun to use. Her complaint is with capacity - my dad won’t let her wash anything but a full load so she said she sometimes has to put clean clothes in there to make it look like more clothes.
Ooooooh, you could be my alter ego and send cards on time to all my friends and family! Of course, they would know they weren’t from me, since I’ve always been awful about sending cards. Good thing there’s such a thing as a phone.
Purty cards! I also think that $5 sounds about right.
I want a front-loading washer! Maybe next year.
I’m exhausted. I mowed and planted and moved containers and plants around and thought about where all of my new perennials are going to go. I think I have homes for all of them. I finally planted my pretty red mandevilla.
