A new topic for Slackards in the MMP

I’m shocked. It’s 7:30am EDT. I didn’t even think I’d be 1st to comment on a topic. You Brits and early morning risers in US must be plum clean out of new topics…or just being slackards. Here ya go. Let’s see who jumps on this first. When has your slacking gotten you into real trouble? I’ll comment later today as I need to haul my booty to work.

First, is good to be juvenile.

Ms Peach went walkabout again yesterday afternoon. Most frustrating.

I’m up and somewhat sheveled, off to do some stuff at work.

Stay safe, y’all.

I was just finishing a new MMP myself, when I checked and saw this thread. So my epic contribution shan’t happen. I wasn’t slacking - I was creating!! And at the moment, I can’t think of a particular event of slackage that got me in trouble. Maybe something will occur to me later.

Meanwhile, I woke stoopit early again, and enroute to the necessary, I stepped in an offering from the cat. Once FCD gets up, I can turn on a light and see what she left me. Rah. Till then, surfage and slackage on line!

Happy Moanday!

THOID! I have to say, I definately slacked in College.. Ruined my education. Y’know the nightmares folks have of “Oh no I haven’t been to class all semester”.. I’m ashamed to say that happened to me LOL. I can only plead young and stupid..

Anyway, Up and mostly sheveled. … getting ready to head to Irk,

I appreciate you all so very very much.. thanks for welcoming me home, and for your kind words about Fox. . It means more than you know..

Have a Fabulous day!! <3

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. I was a slugabed until almost seven a.m.! :person_in_bed: 'Tis 77 Amurrkin and clear but will be cloudy around elevenish this a.m., with a predicted high of 92 with maybe a chance of rain late afternoonish. We shall see. The plan of the day is to be RDOS sloths, as is our wont. However, I do need to gas up vehicle and get gas for the mowers, so I may take care of that in a little while. Sup will be pot roast in the slow cooker with carrots, N.O.T. and onions. It will be accompanied by squishes, peas, beans, and okra cooked together and cornbread. We need real food. Plus this is all pretty easy. Right now I can’t recall any one instance where slackage got me in trouble. I am sure memory will catch up with me at some point.

Cat_Glove thanks for crankin’ up the MMP.

VanGo glad Ms. Peach didn’t wander too far.

MOOOOOOM ICK! What a way to start the day!

Pearl for me, kolledge was not so much bein’ a slacker, but bein’ a stoner. Well, maybe the two kinda go hand in hand. I managed to grajooate cum laude someway, some how. Maybe if I had been less stoned in classes, I could’ve grajooated with higher honors. Oh well, that was fifty years ago. I’m more into sloth than slack these days.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day! Rah.

Happy Moanday Y’all!

Like many, I squandered my early college efforts (my first semester GPA was .34!). But I think my life has made up for it.

83F at 0720! Ugh.

I’ll be going in this morning for a cortisone injection for my hip issues. I wish they could do more than one joint (or can they?), as I have pain in both hips and my shoulder. I think there is an issue with spiking blood sugar if you get too large a dose.

Yike! It’s Monday morning already. Shattered blundertowers today, with a high of 85. Mrs. Nott has an appointment this afternoon. She’ll be seeing Dr. Emerson Biggens for a mammogram. Okay, except for the doc’s name, that’s true.

Most of my school life was about paying just enough attention in class to pass, but not working hard enough to get high grades. My memories of teachers and counselors are sprinkled with phrases like, “Not working to meet expectations.” In other words, they thought I was smart, but I was wasting my smartness. I felt I was not good enough to hang with the good kids, but I wasn’t bad enough to hang with the bad kids.

I can’t blame it on dope. I didn’t start smoking until after I dropped out of U. of E’ville. Like I said, not enough contact with the bad kids.

Okay, that’s it. Time for breakfast.

Well, it’s only 06:20 here…

I cooked a chub of chorizo (with some cayenne pepper mixed in), and scrambled three eggs with it this morning. That’s enough for three breakfast burritos. I made one and ate it, and put the rest into a container for the next couple of days. Lunch today will be a tuna salad, jalapeños, provolone cheese, and lettuce sandwich on ‘buttered’ (Smart Balance) Sara Lee Delightful multi-grain bread.

I’m not walking this morning. By the time I cooked, and ate my burrito, it was already a quarter 'til six.

Mornin’ everyone.

It’s 61F and mostly clear. Today’s forecast calls for mostly cloudy to partly cloudy skies, with a daytime high of 82F.

I can’t think of a time when slacking really cost me something. However, with OnePlus closing shop in the US and Europe, and my constant hesitation to pull the trigger on the phone I really wanted, I can no longer get it. I really wanted the OnePlus 13 Pro, but alas, I can no longer get one new. My own fault…

I was a true RDOS yesterday and did nothing more than water my plants, feed the dogs, and clean the kitchen. Other than that, I chilled out on the couch and even sort of napped a couple of times. I was (and still am) tired.

Depending on how the dirt feels around the plants, my plans include potential watering and maybe a trip to the nail place to get a pedicure. I am overdue.

I guess that’s about it for now.

Please take care of yourselves, and Shoe, I hope you’re feeling better today.

68 sunny ferrets (20 centipedes) at 0900; predicted high 80f (27c). Supposed to start raining tomorrow morning and continue (with possible thorms) through Thursday evening.

Put my maximum efforts at being a slacker in high school, which I didn’t finish. Did finally get a GED nine years later, though.

Woke up a little after six; stayed up awaiting kitty breakfast time (0900), but am going back to bed now.

I was a slacker my freshman year of college. Got out on academic probation but fortunately not double secret probation. Then I got my act together.

I made bacon for 7 layer salad and made a few extra for my breakfast. I dunno, something is wrong with my taste buds. The bacon doesn’t taste as wonderful as it used to.

Afternoon, mumpers! It’s currently 21c/70f with a predicted high of 22c/71f and mostly cloudy. Weather app says “No matter the fucking weather, make sure you bring fucking sunshine wherever you go. And snacks. Bring fucking snacks.”

{{{{{Pearl}}}}} I missed posting on your return in the old MMP. Welcome back, it’s good to see you around. I’m really sorry about Fox too, you’ve certainly been through the wringer. I hope you find time to hang around with us a bit more

shoe and VanGo, I hope you’re both feeling better today.

Taters you deserve a day of true RDOS after all the work you did before your cataract surgery. Now you get to rest for a while.

I was not slacking this morning, I was busy doing work things. I could have started the MMP many weeks in a row but didn’t because it’s only fair to let other people do it too. I wasn’t much of a slacker in school either, it was always drummed into us that you needed good grades if you wanted a decent job. Thus I have good grades from school and university. Whether or not I have a good job is up for debate!

I was up early today for no good reason, got the cats fed and litter trays cleaned, then had a cuppa before my shower and hair-drying got done. Logged into irk and checked for skip fires for a colleague who’s on leave this week, and then got on with my own stuff.

I went to the supermarket at lunchtime to do the grocery run, 'im indoors decided he wanted to come as well which meant it took twice as long as usual, then he asked if I could drop him off on the edge of town so he could do something there, I wasn’t really in a position to say no although it’s cost me an extra half-hour so I won’t log out until later in the afternoon. I had to unpack twice as much shopping when I got home too, and find room in the fridge for all the stuff he’s bought that will probably end up in the freezer instead.

Back to irk, and I have a load of laundry swishing around in the machine. Gym later, and then back in time for dinner. I also have to empty the rubbish and haul the biiiig bin out to the kerb tonight as it’s collection day tomorrow.

Happy Moonday!

Up, caffeinating, breakfasted, infusing and then KP. After that, I shall shevel for a podiatrist appointment. Such excitement!

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

Morning all. Didn’t start the MMP because after getting up at 6am to micturate, I went back to bed until after 8am, so already a good start on being a slackard today. Lots of clouds about but no rain, ‘only’ 74F now but its supposed to clear up and reach 92F later today. Outside of the usual Jersey Mike’s run in about an hour nothing much planned for the day, or the week for that matter, but we’ll see what turns up.

Cat Glove, I don’t think slacking off has ever gotten me in real trouble, but it has gotten me some frantic all-nighters pulling stuff together for a deadline.

FCM, stepping in stuff I can’t identify is one reason I don’t keep a pet. :scream:  Much rather step in stuff that I know I left on the floor…

Pearl, always went to class in college, but those all-nighters were me typing my major paper for the class the night before it was due in the dorm sitting room on an old Smith-Corona (which I think I still have buried somewhere in the house).

So, you were part of the Delta House??

You have me beat…

boo fae, yeah, I got some of that (good grades = good job) and also I was the first on my Father’s family tree to graduate college, so there was the pressure to do good because of that (did graduate Cum Laude).

And onward into the day. Need to dress for the outside world and head over to the Kroger for my week’s worth of apples and milk. Have a good one all.

I drank so much I could have been in the White House and not known it. I was the very definition of irresponsible nitwit.

I’ll be receiving a jury summons today.

I’m four months into a new job, we’re already down one MSR, my knees are shot so it’s hard to use stairs, and it’s another task on top of everything else I’m trying to get a handle on.

Well, thanks to Ziva, I pulled out the carpet cleaner. There was a spot in FCD’s office that needed attention also. So now the whole area is wet carpeting, but it’s a good wet. And, in case you were wondering, it wasn’t pee - she definitely used her box overnight. There was a hunk of hairball in the midst of the wet. Yeah, I know TMI. Anyway, the ceiling fan is on medium instead of low and with luck it’ll dry fairly quickly. I did go over it extra times to suck up as much wet as I could.

I was going to weed, but my motivation was spent on the carpet and there are almost 80 Ferrets out there - nope, not gonna. I’m sure I’ll find something to do. Eventually. Maybe.

Is that an attitude I detect??

Meanwhile, I need to call BIL. I help him manage his finances and I saw something in his bank account that set of an alarm. So I’ll verify that all is well. I really don’t want to call but I took on the responsibility (he and FCD absolutely don’t get along and there’s no other family.) Besides, as I lay half awake this morning, I could swear I heard a voice say “BIL is dead.” That was just too creepy.

Good Morning. In the spirit of slackness, I was up at three-something this morning to attend to the bladder alarm. The next thing I knew, Spile was knocking on the door asking if we were getting up. The clock read ten after six. I wondered aloud why my walking alarm didn’t wake me up. Mrs Magill said it did, then I returned to bed after using the bathroom at 5:03. Stupid dyslexia.

Squeaky and Mrs Magill have band camp today. I had just logged onto work when I got a call asking me to bring Squeaky’s water jug, lunch, and trumpet to school. You know, minor things he might need. (Slackard! :woman_facepalming: )

I slacked my way through college - I was a theater major. I directed two shows, both of which got very positive write-ups in the Raleigh Noise & Disturber, so I guess I didn’t slack too much, at least towards the end.

I don’t know how, but he found the chicken fingers I had hidden in the back of the fridge. He did ask, and I did say yes, so I have no one to blame but myself for the lack of chicken fingers for lunch.

I don’t think our paths have crossed too much, but welcome back! I am deeply sorry to hear about Fox.

I get to present today, so I am!

Swampy - I was not much of a stoner in school. Something about just getting hungry and paranoid. I was a slacker, though - see above about being a theater major - the only major where you can get course credit for staying up all night and drinking beer.

Have a good day, everyone!

Where to begin. First, the printed schedule and the time clock start time didn’t match. For multiple people. Then, there were apparently only 2 supervisors in the building at start time, and unfindable, so I didn’t know if I was supposed to do something other than my assigned job. So I started that. It took them an hour and 15min to tell me I was loading 200 Bottom White, and when I glanced over, all the cages wee ful. Then I had to get my own load sheets. One of the cars had an 81 box bulk load(18"x16"x16" boxes. So I start loading. The sup runs the irreg belt, and a bunch of boxes come down(30?). I notice the addresses matches that bulk load, plus the "Goes to 69A2(the bilk load), re-SPA. So I stop the belt and stack them, instead of letting them go through the belts again, and brick up my cages more. At this pooint a line from Heathers starts running though my head:

Of course on the last go around on the cages, another sup casually mentions I was supposed to be pulling the Bottom Green cages, too. I get all that.
Sup: “Can you run these cages to Senior Clerk, and have them relabeled?”
dogbutler: “OK, but don’t run my irregs till I get back.”
Of course, he runs them, and starts yelling at me when I stop the belt so I can finish running the rescan packages. As Og is my witness, I wish stupidity was grievable under the CBA. Mercifully, it was a short day. I stopped and gassed up Carmen, and did my Aldi run. And I channelled Brown management, because I forgot to grab the cheese tortelli for Wednesday’s dinner. I need a nap and six margaritas.

Saw off 3 legs, or attach an anchor.

See above.

I slacked my way out of college and into the real world.

Zero. Point. Zero

You got a degree in floozy-ing? :stuck_out_tongue:

Cold hornk. Lovely.

We’ve had a heat index of 115 the last two days. They just posted another ‘dangerous heat warning’ til midnight.
