Sah-son has two classes done, took the finals and turned in the final assignments tonight. Two more finals to go, one at home, one at the testing center.
I can’t wait, now I can get him to catch up on some things around here.

Stopped by the semi-local brewery after training to get some Gingerbread Jesus (tapped Fri eve). The barmaid was good; gave me a taste of something else, which is the bestest I’ve ever had*. Unfortunately, I drove there, which limited my ability to sample some more of their great products. Mebbe tomorrow night??? red, suck it up!..Barbaro had a bad knee, & you know what happened to him! :eek:

Everyone is achy! Red & Rosie, hope you both feel better ASAP! Starting on Sunday they’re switching me from Graveyard to Mornings. It’ll be a nice change - I’ll be awake when everyone else is, finally. I like the 6-2 shift because I can go to the gym and swim laps for an hour before work. Time to start taking my health more seriously than I have been! And my scrapbooking. Haha! I’m still working on 2011. I need to catch up.
Nothing like being awakened by a cat pissing on your shoulder… :mad: I don’t know what’s going on with Taz. When we came home from work yesterday, he had half of the base cabinet doors open in the kitchen, plus the cabinet in the hall bath. Then he kept climbing on me while I was trying to relax. Now I’ve got a comforter in the laundry room waiting to be laundered when I get home. What a day…
Plus I discovered that the three drawings I did earlier in the week got screwed up with the software change, so I have to redo them. Luckily, I’d saved them as .pdf so I just need to use that as a guide. Still, what a pain in the ass!
It’s payday, so there’s that, but so far, I’m not too impressed. Happy Thursday anyway.

Blurf. Up, caffeinated and at work. Finally managed to sort out today’s exam hassles and hopefully everything is going ok for the student who needs extra time for stuff.
I had a secret meeting with my manager this morning, she said our assistant manager is leaving and she asked if I would be interested in taking on her post as a secondment. I am tempted to give it a go, I can do my job standing on my head so I guess it’s time for a bit of an adventure.
Nothing else exciting today, I have irk, a late afternoon meeting, and then grocery shopping beckons when I get home. Other than that, the rest of my little world trundles on as normal.

I managed to get another 3 and a half hours sleep, so I do feel a little better. It was actually too warm in the bedroom last night. I took a pain med and a muscle relaxant about midnight, and it just hadn’t fully kicked in yet when I posted in the wee small hours.

It’s a foggy 41 degrees outside, supposed to get up to a whopping 57 today and up into the 60s over the next few days.
A bit warm for December.
Today is music final day, the one he worries about the most.
Fortunately, he can take a page of notes with him.
He could skip the final and still get a C in the class so it’s really a no pressure test.
It’s nice that the weather is warming up a bit, once the finals are over he can get outside and clean up the yard. I needed an attachment for the leaf vacuum so we can use the composting bags, it’s supposed to be delivered today. Perfect timing! He won’t think so.
My boss finally came to see about giving me work. Lucky for him, everything I did on Moanday was eaten when we got a program upgrade, so I’ll spend much of today redoing 4 fairly complex drawings. Dammit. Thank goodness I’d saved the PDFs - all I have to do is copy what I’d done, so it should go pretty quick. We shall see.
I just calledmy boss to tell him I wouldn’t be in today. As soon as the doctor’s office opens, I’ll be calling them. I’m not looking forward to the trip down the stairs.
red and rosie, hope you get feeling better. I average about 1-2 days sick leave a year, damn if I know why since I just barely take care of myself, but being sick (and having to go to work) is no fun. My colleague at work is off today as his wife was diagnosed with gallstones and had an operation Wednesday. So he’s taking care of their 4 and 2 year old daughters.
As for me, like FCM, I don’t have enough work to keep me interested for 8 hours. Unlike FCM, I don’t mind browsing the internet since they already got 34 good years out of me…they can get a few bad months from me in return (I still complete all my tasks/deadlines on time and good good ratings from my bosses…go figure).
