That’s what I forgot to do this morning - start the coffee
I’m deheathanated, and home for a bit before TSHA practice. swampy, and you email me a breakfast plate?
Some days you need a cup of coffee, before you make a cup of coffee.
Herbs, glad dad is improving.
Glad your dad is doing better, tarra.
Successfully deheathenated, and had breakfast.
There was definitely more, but somehow, I can’t remember what…
Back later…
Oh yeah…anyone feel like getting us started off tomorrow? Link to possible topics is in my sig.

Aaaaaaaand she’s back!
Envy me, guys - I wielded a chain saw earlier today!
Cut down and cut up 4 small trees, then loaded the debris on the trailer. Then I raked the hill where I wanted the new garden to go, and loaded all that stuff on the trailer. I got all my lilies, coneflowers, and black-eyes susans planted on the hill, and the sprinkler is now giving them all a drink. The few things that still need to be planted are in the back yard awaiting my attention, but probably not today. I’s tahred!!
Stoopit Taz is on The List again! He peed on my comforter while I was under it! The brat!! So it’s out hanging from the deck to dry (it’s too big for the dryer) and I guess I’ll have to sleep with the door closed. I hate that - I like my door open at night. Maybe I should crate the stoopit cat!
No idea what we’ll do for supper. Daughter is out with friends, so it’s just the two of us. I really need to run to the grocery story so I’ll have lunches for the week - maybe I can get something while I’m out. It’s so difficult being me… <deep sad sigh of resignation>
**tarra **- yay for Dad’s improvement!
I’m sure there was something else I wanted to say, but my brain is fried… Thus endeth my long weekend.
Just finished my monthly carpet shampooing. I see a nap in my immediate future…
Productive day today. We went out for breakfast then to Home Depot for caulk then I have been painting interior doors while mr ems has been caulking the trim around the new doors so we can prime it this afternoon. He has just headed back to Home Depot for more caulk for him and more paint for me as we thought we had more left than we did.
Later today will be 2011 benefits enrollment, Christmas shopping online and roast pork loin for dinner. Yum!
I would love to fit a nap in there as well buy it might not happen.
I, too am successfully deheathenated. I’ve also had N.O.L. and a nap. Plus messin’ around on teh intertoobz. That’s been my Sunday. I did have a meeting of the Liturgy Committee after church. I was not aware we were to meet until I got there because I did not get an email about the meetin’. YP said he meant to mention it in an email to me a couple of days ago and thought he had so he didn’t send me the memo sent to everybody else. No biggie. I kinda already knew what it was all about what with Advent startin’ week after next. We’re goin’ to use the Rite I Liturgy with all the thees, thous and other funny soundin’ stuff durin’ Advent. I like Rite I so I’m jake with it.
Tonight we’re goin’ to a cocktail party as a part of the church’s pledge campaign. That’s the way to do it. Liquor 'em up and hand ‘em pledge cards!
We nosh, we mingle, we have a discussion on pledgin’ and get a card to take home. Believe it or not, that works.
Now, back to messin’ around on teh intertoobz!
Later Y’all!
Groceries have been shopped for, laundry has either been hung up or folded. The folded stuff is still sitting on the coffee table, however. There’s a chicken boiling in a pot for me to pick the meat off of later. There’s a pork tenderloin thawing for dinner tonight. There’s a fresh pineapple to grill with the pork tenderloin, and I’m gonna make a corn souffle and asparagus, too. And a loaf of banana nut bread in the oven. Oh - and I vacuumed the living room where yet another stuffed toy lost its innards.
I’ve been watching football, and the Texans lost again. <deep sigh>
I ran to the grocery store so I’d have lunch fixin’s for the week, plus Turkey Hill Ice Cream was on sale and I had some coupons, so DOUBLE SCORE!!
I also picked up most of the ingredients for green stuff (dunno if I put the recipe on the blog - I’ll check) except I forgot the mini-marshmallows. So daughter will have to get them. And I got deep dish pie shells for punkin pies to be made next week. And a poke roast for supper tomorrow.
We had supper, and I just finished making the bed. Once I do today’s jigsaw puzzle, I’ll make a pile of sammiches for the week and that should end my chores for the day. I hope. I’m beat and grungy. But I got a lot done over the long weekend, so there’s that.
**FCD **was having problems walking this morning, and I convinced him to NOT DO ANYTHING today. So he spent most of the day on the couch watching TV, and he said his back feels better. So yay for that. He’s pretty stubborn, but sometimes he listens.
Daughter is out with friends - no idea when she’ll get home. Not too late, I hope - it’s a school night!
And tomorrow, I’m back on my normal schedule, so yay for that. I hated having to go in late and stay late. I like my early hours.
Off to puzzle…
Well, we played on the playground for about an hour (tetherball, swings, monkey bars, other stuff) then came home and worked in the garden. Brother and nephew took down all the dead branches from my cherry tree
. The only one left is the one that hangs over into my neighbor’s garden. We’re hoping it will still bloom and have cherries while we’re both getting dwarf cherry tree replacements. She wants several other types of fruit trees, but I’m good with a cherry tree. They’re pretty low maintenance and I LOVE cherry preserves.
Next week, weather permitting, we get to tackle the black berry brambles and possibly the wild grape vine that’s at the back. If all goes well, I’ll get to plant in back in the spring again. Yay!
Now brother has left to drop nephew off at home, so it’s vewwy quiet here. Guess I’ll see what’s available to wear tomorrow and then consider what else to do.
Hugs.

You know, I bet you are. When I read this, I immediately thought of the character of Rose portrayed on 2 1/2 Men played so well by Melanie Lynskey.
May you be Cute. And Happy. ![]()
I’ve seen pictures. You are indeed. ![]()
I think you’re fine. Nothing to worry about.
That is awesome news! Prayers continue for your dad and your family.
It’s been a very long weekend here for Clan Havoc. I can’t believe I have to go back to work tomorrow. At least I’ll have two normal weeks in here: this week will be 40 hours in 4 days, as I’ll be with hubby Friday for first round of chemo. Then I’ll have two normal weeks, then the 40 in 4 for one, then two more normal weeks, then the final 40 in 4. But at least I do not have to go on FMLA, which is a really, really good thing!
Our adult handbell choir rang in church this morning, and it was also communion Sunday. Ya know, it was really strange: I’m sitting there, listening to the sermon and meditating on Christ’s love, death on the cross, etc, when suddenly my mind wanders onto the diabetic track.
My daughter, as you all know, has type 1 diabetes. This is her second communion. How many carbs are in the wafer and grape juice? Do I give her insulin for it? How much insulin do I give her for it? Oh, NO! I’m a horrible mom! What do I do? Came home and researched: the whole thing is under 5 carbs, so I had nothing to worry about. But man oh man, it was scary there for a minute!
Annie for some of us every Sunday is Communion Sunday.
That would be why the main Whiskypalian Sunday service is called Holy Eucharist.
The Pledge party was a success. This was one of three btw. Lots of good munchies! Plus a nice talk by YP on what St. Pat’s has accomplished and hopes to accomplish this next year. I had a wonderful beer. It’s called Sweetwater. It’s a pale ale made in, of all places, Etlanner! It was teh num, so I had two of ‘em before switchin’ to water. Can’t do the DUI thang after all!
Thus endeth Sunday at da cave.
The new MMP doesn’t appear to be up yet, but I have a proposal: let’s try to have a less accidenty week than the last one, ok? I mean, I leave y’all alone for a couple days to do laundry and look at the messes you get into!
Hoping for more good news on Mr Ominous’ part soon, Annie.
I did darks on Saturday and lights yesterday. On Saturday, laundry was completely dry after only four hours on the line, but yesterday I was feeling sleepy, thought “gee, maybe I’ll have a nap and then bring in the laundry, yawn…” looked out the window… andranuptotheterracebecauseOMGitwasraining! :smack: And this is one of those places where it rains rarely but when it does, it’s no light drizzle. I had to put it back into the washing machine for a spin and then hang it out to dry around the house.
