A self-hijacked MMP

Oh it’s not so much surprised as it is impressed over you all’s desire to keep the MMP informed.

Ima go to the sto’. Anybody need anything?

mr ems is playing golf and I need to run grab a couple of bits at the grocery store then I am going to finish up my Christmas shopping online and that is about it.

Great news on catching it early Annie and that everyone is OK.

I amaze myself sometime. I did the roast beast in the slow cooker yesterday so all I need do is slice it and heat it up along with the gravy. The beans are done and just need a quick zap in the nukelator to warm up. The N.O.T. are peeled and chunked. They’re sittin’ in water in the fridge ready to be cooked and smashed up. The cake is made. So all I have to do is warm up the roast and beans, make the smashed N.O.T. and stick the rolls in the oven to bake for a few minutes.

Plus da cave is all spiffed up.

I’m gooooooooood!

The search has ended: we have the coolest kid in the universe. Our daughter has a friend that’s being picked on because he happens to play flute. We sat down and watched a couple of YouTube videos: one a 7:10 flute piece from Ian Anderson and a wonderful rendition of Pachelbel’s Canon by James Galway. We also looked up a listing of famous flautists, and most of the names on the list are male. She now has some information so she can help him out.

ROAD TRIP! Anyone else interested in heading to GA?

We’re having a good dindin tonight as well: it was actually planned for Thursday, but there was this whole car wreck thing. Then it was planned for last night, but we ended up hitting Walgreens and Kroger after hubby’s appointment, and when we got home the sink was stopped up. So we had Pizza Hut. So tonight (FINALLY) we’re having meat loaf, baked N.O.T., peas and rolls. My hubby makes the Best. Meat loaf. Ever. And that’s saying a whole lot, because I adored my grandma’s meat loaf: but his is, like, a million times better. (Sorry, grandma. I love you!)

Now let’s keep our fingers crossed that nothing else happens. I’m looking forward to meat loaf tonight!

Been busy today. We went to breakfast, then made a few stops to buy stuff. Came home and cleaned the garage, then *finally *installed the new outdoor lights we bought back in April! We were doing the last light when daughter got home, to her puppy’s delight. Once the lights were all done, daughter and I did a trash/recycle run.

Daughter and **FCD **just mixed up a batch of fish food - man, does it stink in here now! They had fish, scallops, clams, garlic, and seaweed all whirled together in the blender, then doled out into ice trays. They’ll be frozen, and popped out one at a time to feed the fishies. Wonder how long the stink will last?

As soon as they are done in my kitchen, I’m going to do the twice-baked. Gotta scoop out all the N.O.T., mix up the innards with cheese and butter and other things, then stuff it back in the shells. mmmmmmmmm With ribeyes and salad, and lemon meringue pie - supper will be good!

I know that I’m late to this party, but then again, I always seem to be. Anyway, it took a warm November Saturday for me to finally see the truth. You see, I’m nowhere near as funny or as witty as I think I am. Still, thank you for putting up with me.

Sweetie, none of us are as funny or as witty as we think we are. But it doesn’t matter in the MMP, because we’re nice, dammit!

Second baking of the twice-baked is underway. We had the little skin cutouts as an appetizer. After I get the animals fed, the ribeyes will go under the broiler, and dinner will be inhaled. And it will be good.

Well, except for me, of course. I am funny, witty, urbane, sophisticated, cultured and couth as all get out!

Annie make with the meatloaf recipe. You cannot declare it the best meatloaf evah without a recipe to back it up. It’s a rule. I just made it up.

I have discovered sump’n truly horrible OYKW. It is truly vile and evil. Yea, verily an abomination! He told me he likes to  put salt on fresh peaches. I have seen him eat fresh peaches but I have never seen him put salt on 'em. He confessed he’s never done it in front of me cause he knew he’d never hear the end of it.

Perhaps I should approach YP and request an exorcism. Salt on peaches! Surely this is the work of Satan!

Ok, gotta go get stuff doin’ on dindin now that I’ve revealed that horrible, despicable side of OYKW.

Modest, too. :stuck_out_tongue:

Not a good day today, but neither did it sucketh mightily.

Doing laundry, after running errands this morning. I also took two dogs to the woods this morning. Ernie wanted to hang with Mr Rebo (or Mr Rebo wanted him to hang out with him!) Dipsey and Lucy really enjoyed themselves. It had rained a bit this morning, and everything was drippy and smelling so good from the pine needles. I loved it!

I’m having a snack of a strawberry smoothie. Dinner tonight will be meatball stroganoff. Mmm!

Mr Rebo ordered some stuff online called Trail Bologna. Anybody ever heard of it? Apparently, it’s from the town of Trail, Ohio. It’s wonderful! Liked smoked bologna. It comes in link sausage form, instead of large sandwich size rolls. He was remembering how he and his dad ate it when he was a kid, and lo and behold! He found it.

Ain’t the intertubz wunnerful?

Rebo, your mention of Dipsey makes me have to ask - any more drama from the former owners?

Supper was yum. We haven’t had dessert yet, but we will. Meanwhile, I’m going to assume the knit position.

Oh, yeah, and **swampy **is a class act. Low class, but class all the same.

I’m witty and have class!(Remedial English and Underwater basketweaving
I’m also on location at the Bistro for the game. Envy me.
FCM, heck the fish food cubes sound good!

I’m cute.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. 'Tis a chilly morn with a temp of 36 Amurrkin.

Dindin went well last night. The happy 'rents to be liked all their gifties. One thing, I said a stuffed 'Roo. It’s actually Piglet. I knew it was a pig. Don’t know why I said 'Roo. It’s still teh keyoooooote, so it’s all good.

I get to ush today at the church house. Plus a couple is celebratin’ their 63rd weddin’ anniversary with cake after church. So, I get cake. And punch. Then we go eat N.O.L.

Like they say, life’s short, eat dessert first!

I need to consider what to feed rumbly tummy and more caffiene is required.

Happy Sunday, Y’all!

Good morning! Taking it easy and caffeinating.

Today I have to finish the laundry and go grocery shopping.

FCM - there hasn’t been any drama with the ex-owners since we showed them the papers from the SPCA. Thank goodness!

I’m getting hongry! Time for a big ol’ Southern Sunday breakfast.

I made link sausages, scrambled aigs, grits (with cheese!) and toast for brekkies. We’s all fed and purtified for deheathenization. I need to leave in a few to go make sure ush stuff is all in place. I think OYKW will wait until a little later. He seems to be all settled in with the Sunday paper at the moment. He looks so cute in the recliner readin’ the funnies.

Morning all! I’m up and caffeinating, and have even brekkied some (waffles). I may have some scrambled eggs and bacon later.

Don’t know how to put this, other than to say that I keep forgetting things and people I want to comment on or, worse yet, let them know they’re in my thoughts and prayers, or that I’m glad for their good news, but I get into a post and my brain goes into freeze mode and I just can’t think of anything. At any rate, please know that I am thinking of you, or am happy for you, really. sighs And there’s just no acceptable excuse for it.

So glad to hear that your little red-headed boy is doing well, Rebo. You know, I’ve caught a couple of episodes of Animal Cops Houston on Animal Planet…I think they filmed em back in 2007-2008. Good on you for taking in Ernie and now Dipsey.

I wanna go to Swampy’s church! Congrats to the couple who are celebrating their 63rd anniversary - what a milestone!

Now I want to thank you, all of you, for your thoughts and prayers for my Dad - he is sounding better and better each day, and is slowly but surely on the road to reccovery. Thank you SO MUCH, because I am certain that the collective thoughts and prayers helped him recouperate. He even ventured into TMI territory on the phone yesterday, and yes, Swampy, you and he probably would get along well together! LOL

Hope everyone has a restful and enjoyable Sunday.

How you doin’?

Mornin’ all. Did you know coffee is not for inhaling? Now I do!
