A self-hijacked MMP

Got some stuff done today.

Did a few loads of laundry.
Flipped the mattress and put new covers over the mattress and boxspring. Moved some shelves into the bathroom. And stacked some clean towels on them.
Put away some dishes.
Mopped kitchen floor.
Threw out some junk.

Ah, I’d seen the email but didn’t know who’d sent it. Thanks, Alien.

Te acompaño en el sentimiento, MBG.

I can now, officially, call myself a recording artist. Our CD will have 12 songs on it! As soon as we have some kind of on line ordering set up, I’ll let you know

OK, how to say this…

People who have never had to get a mechanic out of bed at 3am on a Saturday night to come fix something at the factory should not be allowed to make decisions on what information does or does not the mechanic need to have on his worksheet.

Also, nobody should work in either Controlling or Consulting without prior work experience in other fields.

The two whines do not refer to the same people, but they refer to the same problem of “people who just don’t get it”. Oh, and the first one is telling me that the reason he doesn’t want to have all the info requested on the printout is that “if we put all that info and make it break over to the next line if needed, it looks like shit!” Adam, Eve and Lilith on a pogo stick, are our programmers that bad?

I gave up because if I went on, my next question would have been “… so, you print documents on tape instead of pages? Gosh, you’re the first person I meet who does that! Did the company give you a special printer?” Oh, and he’s also expecting the printout with the instructions to always be one page. Uh… no?

Gratz, rosie!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’.

{{{MBG}}} I’m so sorry for your loss. Your uncle, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. From your post I can say he led life to the fullest with no regrets. That’s a good thing in my book.

Rosie should we ask for your autograph now so we can say we knew you when?

MOOOOOOM postin’ in only your robe almost counts as nekkid postin’. :stuck_out_tongue:

BBBobbio sorry for the ding but appropriate/inappropriate fingers crossed for the other two interviews.

Nemo I won’t shave my beard for two reasons. One is fear of major clogged drain. The other is I don’t know what I look like underneath it and don’t think I want to know!

Happy Firday Y’all!

{{{MBG}}} Your uncle sounds like a hell of a guy. I’m certain he will be missed by all who knew him.

{{{MBG}}} - I think it’s some kind of rule that everyone needs at least one really cool uncle, and yours sound like he was especially cool! How lucky you were to have him in your life!

It’s cold this morning, but it’s supposed to be mild later today. I’m waiting to go out till it milds up a bit. I also need to do some research about some of the plants so I can decide where to put them, plus load the dishwasher, and run the vacuum. After I read the funnies, of course.

Still TBD whether my car is done today. They were sent 2 headlights for the same side, and the supplier wouldn’t have the other one till Monday. Then they called me back and said they might have a different supplier who could get it to me today. So we shall see. I hope so. I hate being car-less. FCD has gone to work for a while, so I’m stuck. There’s a mom-n-pop store about half a mile away, and a convenience store 3 miles away. I don’t think I’ll be going anywhere. Except outside to work. When it warms a little.

My butt and my knees hurt from yesterday - even tho I had a hunk of foam to kneel on, they’re sore, and my butt aches from all the down and up and bend - I’m too old for this crap! I need a gardener. Preferably a studly young gardener, male, of course. Eye candy doing my bidding - that works.

Today is a day where I’ve heard the sound of the universe cocking the ‘fuck with me’ gun.

  • I was 20 miles into my morning commute when I realized I left my cell phone at home.

  • I changed a muffler hanger on the Foomobile yesterday because the old one broke. When I started the car this morning, it sounded like I had glasspak mufflers; my exhaust pipe had broken from the muffler dangle.

  • Getting gas this morning, I ran into a very sharp edged squawk box by the gas pump. Now I have a hole in my shirt and a laceration on my right shoulder.

  • I have a deadline to pay an insurance bill that got missed or everything gets cancelled.

  • VWife is trying to schedule surgery to have her left shoulder rebuilt. It might not work, so there is the possibility of a shoulder replacement to follow shortly thereafter. All would happen before Christmas.

I can haz bed with cuvvers over my bald head?
[raises a frothy mug in memory of MBG’s uncle]

Sorry about your uncle, MBG. Sounds like he was the epitome of cool.

Happy Firday!!!!!

!!!

and some more !!!
The donwannas and the gottahaveitnows are battling this morning...

Running into a rough patch here. Don’t know why I’m so blue these days, but I can’t seem to shake the feeling. I feel like I just want to crawl into bed and run away from home both at the same time.

Sigh.

passes the chocolate

gratefully accepts the chocolate.

Dishwasher is washing dishes. I also just washed an entire sick of baking N.O.T. that will eventually be twice-baked. Vacuum next. Good times…

{{{{{{{MBG}}}}}}}; your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

It’s very quiet at work today, and imagine that … it’s finally FIRDAY! Yay!

I’m thinking of getting a smoothie blender. Are there really healthy smoothies? I think there are and I’m going to try to whip some up!

Everyone enjoy their Friday and then the weekend. Woo hoo!

If you used healthy N. O. T.s, you’d only have to bake them once.

{{{{MBG}}}}

Sorry about everything, BBBobbio.

Caffeinated, and going to irk.

tarra, I’ve never made a smoothie, but I expect they’re as healthy as what you dump into the blender. If you don’t add sugar and ice cream and syrups and sprinkles and whipped cream, you could concoct something yummy and virtuous.

I’m taking a break. I just planted 8 or 9 flowers/plants, dug up a pest tree thing, and trimmed back 4 azaleas. This might not be the right time of year to prune azaleas, but too bad. They looked ratty and now they look better. In spite of how cool it is out there, I worked up a sweat, so I came in to have a drink and cool down. Plus I need to think about what to do next - probably mulch what I just planted.

I’m also thinking about getting involved in a local theater group - behind the scenes, not on stage. It’ll require a fair amount of time and I’m not sure I’m *that *interested. But it’s something I have thought about doing for a long time. We shall see.

I’ll have a short gardening day - I decided to make a lemon meringue pie, and I’ve got a couple of ribeyes marinating. I figure I’ll bake all the N.O.T.s at once, have a couple for supper, and the rest will be twice-baked. Just left **FCD **a message asking him to pick up some sour cream on his way home. He decided to go to work today - silly man!

Well, back to the grind - we’ll see what I can get done before 2…

{{{MBG}}} - I’msorry for your lost, but it sure sounds like your uncle lived.

FCM - You can spend some of that housewifely energy working on my farm, if you want. I need my floors sanded (and scrubbed, but that’s another story).

Yesterday I had the kind of day at work where most of it was spent doing stuff that isn’t my job ("Can you customize this macro you wrote for everyone? Can you add extra dababases to the Access Db you created? Can you can the formatting on this? ) I got home from work to discover my pony missing. It was dark, of course. I yelled and whistled by didn’t see him. I’d just fed his feed to my Irish horse, and I’m walking back up to the house and see him standing in a deep, deep thicket. I spend an hour getting him freed and falling on my patootie in the dark. I finally get in the house to see that Pat the English setter had diarrhea on the kitchen floor. And then the auger to the pellet stove wouldn’t feed wood pellets to the fire. It was the kind of day to pretend didn’t happen.

bbbobbio - See above. Fortunately (?) the water pump gave out on my car a couple weeks ago, instead of yesterday.

Today is free flu shot day at work. Ouchy. Tomorrow the farrier comes to shoe the horses.

StG

I made a healthy smoothie the other day, and it was yummy! I bought Kroger Carbmaster Yogurt(only 3 carbs), Kroger frozen fruit for smoothies (strawberries, mango, and pineapple), and Silk Light Vanilla.

Yummy Chinese for lunch.

None of my cow-irkers are impressed with my new status. They are, however, getting pettier at every turn. I need a transfer but nothing I’m qualified for is open.
