A very interesting MMP

I would think a 34" baby would certainly have freakishly long toes, as well as freakishly long everything else.

Did TNC 2.0’s APGAR score go to 11?!?

**Congrats Li-Li!!! **

As a resident of a country that switched to UHC when I was a Health Care consuming adult and parent, I’ll gladly join that debate… And while I definitely fall on one side of the debate, I agree that there **is **plenty of room for one!

Right Tackle or Left Tackle?

**SnowBunny **-- any word on the better digs? ::Fingers crossed::

Welcome to the world, Thomas!

Not until tomorrow at the earliest. But if somebody else has already said, “I want that house if it ever becomes available,” then I’ll put myself down as the NEXT person who wants that house! But perhaps it is still unclaimed. I refuse to entirely give up. I do feel better for doing a major sort of the stuff in the loft, though now I have to get all the stuff leaving OUT of the loft…need to get a hand with that job.

Congratulations, Lissars! I, too, was thinking it must be a typo. Even 24" would be a very long baby! Yay for a baby brother for Gnat!

After a drawn-out email debate of health care with my aunt, I decided to avoid all political debate with family. Just not worth the stress.

I was wondering, though, not for debate just 'cause I don’t know, how do the developed Eastern Asian countries handle health care? I know most of Europe does, but I realized recently that I don’t know about Japan, S. Korea, China, etc.

We had chicken pot pie for dinner last night, and it turned out really well. Tonight’s going to be cannelloni. More yum!

Korea has national health care that covers a very basic plan. Government pays for some, we pay for the rest. (My bc pills cost a third of what they would in the US.) I pay $80 a month for health care, but if you have a regular full time job they cover that for you.

If you get something that requires long term care or major surgery, the national plan isn’t going to cut it though. You’ll need private health care for that. (Lot more affordable than the US though, I think.)

Welcome baby!!!

We. Need. Pictures.

Sqqqqeeeeee! Baby is here! We need pics. Hope Mama is well. (Daddy can take care of hisownself–he didn’t do anything except once about 9 months ago…)
Scandal in the MMP! Ooh… I’m intrigued. But I can’t stay to wallow in it. I must to the post office go and Easter package to Daughter mail. I could never be German–it takes too long to find out what you’re doing at the end of every sentence!

And with that randomness, I’m away.

Can you hire a bunch of 4 year olds to help?

Hello Thomas! Happy Zero Birthweek!

Maybe the baby is 20" but the toes are 14", that would certainly fit the “freakishly long toes” description. Learning to walk may be hard but I bet he’ll be a great climber.

I recently acquired a new hot water heater and washing machine. I am happily showering and washing my clothes at home again (not at the same time). My new problem will be finding places to put all my clean laundry. Guess I’ll have to clean my closets.

I need a nap.

Flyfish???

(just curious)

Welcome Thomas!!!

(OK – and why doesn’t he have his own account on the SDMB yet? Hmmmmm? Anyone??? In my family he would already have a rifle and 83 offers to hunt with him - his own account seems about the same sort of gift just more appropriate to this setting  )

Or swimmer. Or professional clown. Popov the Clown had really long toes inside those shoes. The dude did pretty good for the world too!

(I know - I know ------- but I’m too excited over the newest Mumper to combine posts.)

Yay. Gnat has a brother! But what shall we call Thomas? Surely not merely “Tom”?

So with the giant toes, is he one of these? [Warning: video link but SFW, just a super cute zoo baby… watch it with sound on if possible; it sounds just like R2D2.]

I’m not sure if the length that was provided for LiLi’s little one is a typo or not. Y’all haven’t seen how tall Mr Lissar is… personally, I’d only have been taken aback if TNC 2.0 had come out over three feet long.

BTW, the outfit referenced by Attacks Husband in his update is disgustingly cute. And that was BEFORE it was put on a baby, since I only saw it at the shower.

Glad to hear the good news for DH, gotti! It’s nice to see hard work does get rewarded every once in a while.

Irk has been obscenely busy. Hopefully I’ll have a bit more Mumping time next week. Fingers crossed!

I can’t believe I have to say this, but honestly, you people just need constant supervision… WE. NEED.
