Administrivia in the MMP

Evening all. Did make it to the gym for a ‘20-20-20’ session (20 minutes swimming, 20 minutes whirlpool, and 20 minutes sauna). Combined with a nice shower it made for a good afternoon. The HVAC guy couldn’t make it due to the rain we had, so of course it stopped raining and got sunshiney out soon thereafter. They are due tomorrow morning and will call ahead.

And I’ve started posting my Antarctica pics on Facebook; if you are not a friend of mine PM me and I’ll tell you where to go…hmm, that didn’t come out right…tell you where to find them.

wet one, you can always browse You Tube, lots of junk there to while away the hours…

Sari, hope you’re feeling better soon. As for the annuity, do what you think is best, I have no idea what to suggest.

catglove, not a problem buying from the Girl Scouts, but it is hard to stay within my calorie goals while they are about…  Hope the muscle aches aren’t too bad.

flyboy, sounds like that indeed was one massive tree; hope they have got it done.

FCM, you expecting anything back from your taxes to help on the projects. Don’t know the size of the job, but $650 doesn’t sound too bad for roof work.

Ditto, except I don’t wear contacts (never have). But need glasses the second I get up. And sounds like a busy but pretty well-scripted week. Hope the beginning of March is slower.

OK, a friend suggested I download GIMP to fix problems with my photos, so I need to start that up and see how it does. Take care all.

Did the usual burgers, fries, and Old Fashioned. Catching up on NCIS and Wednesday.

I save time by just alphabetizing my spices.

Me, too.

Today our treasure hunt led us to a storage yard, complete with nice, sturdy, brick storage buildings. The padlock looks like it hasn’t been touched in years, all dusty and stuff. What is inside the buildings? Who knows? Who has the keys? Another unknown. Are we going to take our lock-cutters to the padlock without witnesses and armed backup? That’s a big nope!

The person I’m reporting to has started drinking heavily. I’m no longer looking at financial records and I don’t want to see them. Nobody has stolen money from the CLCS, but a lot of donations have not been reported to the IRS and I highly suspect that the donations exceeded the yearly limit several times. If I know this for a fact, I have to report it. All I am doing now is looking for assets, cause a complete list would be a good thing.

One of the vacant lots has an urban camper living on it. Arizona is leading the housing shortage and many people have been forced to buy RV’s and live in them where they can. The lot in question has a camp trailer with open canopies and a couple of flower pots outside. There is no trash anywhere on the lot and we could see where someone had been parking. As I am not sure that there is someone illegally doing things on that lot, I have no reason to report that either.

I am still alive and kicking. {waves}

Always good to know.

shoe Glad to hear from you!

The week has already gotten away from me. Too much to do, too little time. rah

:: tackle hugs shoe :: many, many times!

heh ive had people tell me where to go, how to get there, and what I could do with myself once I arrived several times

[Up, caffeinated, and sheveled Off to heave.

You’d think I’d remember not to have too much caffeine during the day. Short night, since I didn’t fall asleep till after 1, plus I was up several times to empty the pee pouch. And not only do I have Tobias today, but I’m making supper for Daughter and both kids because she’s got two meetings after school, so she’ll be late. Chances are the kids will eat before she even gets here. So that’ll be my day.

I need to start it by cleaning the fireplace downstairs and getting a fire going. And while down there, I should push a vacuum around - Tobias sheds graham cracker crumbs everywhere. It’ll give me a chance to toss the assorted toys into the correct bins - I kinda ignored the mess last week.

FCD is taking his mom to the credit union today to purchase an annuity for his brother. He was also planning to go to the boat, since rain stopped us yesterday, but I’m hoping he won’t. Our bilge adventure on Sunday left him aching all over from climbing and kneeling and squatting so much, plus he twisted one knee. But I dare not tell him not to go…

(((shoe))) - Glad you’re alive - don’t ignore us too much longer! We miss you!

And so begins the last day of the month. What fresh hell awaits me today??

Happy Tuesday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 70 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 81 and mostly cloudy for the day. Today is laundry day. I can hardly contain myself! Also, yahd irk shall be completed. Mowage will be accomplished. The excitatement of it all is almost too much! Sup shall be burgers ‘n fixin’s with fries due to a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for a burger.

shoe glad you are still alive. Come back and entertain us with tales of what’s goin’ on with you soon as you can.

doggio Happy Doperversary! I see the slice of cake by your name.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day! Fun times ahead! Rah.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

Good morning everyone.

It’s currently 35 degrees and dark outside. We ae due for mixed rain/snow showers a few times this morning, but the temps will warm up to around 45 degrees, so no accumulation is expected. The afternoon will cloudy. It snowed several times yesterday morning, but my commute to the office was uneventful. When I left, it was just icy outside, but by the time I reached the office snow started to fall, but nothing really stuck.

I’m working from home today, so the commute will be super short and easy!

nellie, I’m very sorry about your friend.

shoe, good to see you!

oopsie, that was indeed a very busy week!

metal mouse, I’ve seen some of the pics! Very nice!

JtC, it sounds like you are in some unnamed circle of hell with the work you’re doing.

My son found a YouTube click of a drive of the main drag out where I live. The clip is just about 41 years old and really brought home how rural it used to be here. It’s now loaded with developments and strip malls and makes me sad and desperate to get away.

Well, onward with the day. I hope you all have a good one!

Hearing all this about Hyundais and Kias being stolen with a USB cable, and since I drive a Hyundai, I was a tad concerned. Lucky for me, it doesn’t involve Sonatas, nor any vehicles older than 2015. My Sonata is 2012, so safe on both counts.

OK, time to start a fire. The kid will be here within half an hour or so.

Welcome back! We have missed you.

I put on pants this morning. And a shirt. And my favourite bow tie. Headed off to irk. Didn’t make it to the freeway because Snow + Prius = null. After the second slide almost through an intersection, and the third slip on acceleration, I turned around. I’ll irk from home today.

flyboy, sounds like a good decision to work from home. Imagine the roads will be clogged with folks who chose…poorly.

Taters, know what you mean by how rural becomes suburban so fast. An area near me that was pretty much empty ground for 25 years now has a baseball (AA minor league) stadium, hundreds of residences along with businesses and restaurants aplenty, with more building…all in the last 5 years or so.

swampy, Burgers for supper sounds like a good idea to me, too…

shoe, always good to hear from ya. Hang in there.

JtC, can you (or the CLCS) get a court order to use lock cutters and find out what is at the storage yard? And as for your squatter, if they are keeping it clean and there is no immediate need for the property, then a ‘blind eye’ to it might be the best policy. IMHO. But jeez, did you ever think you’d get this tangled up in the proceedings?

Heading for 77F and no rain in sight, so just waiting for the HVAC folks to show up and will edit some more pictures from my trip here in the near future. All y’all take care.

Decent heave, I had to help in the Mez and 100 slide. When I got home the neighbor across the way was having a loud phone argument, the phrase “mad ass bitch” was thrown around.

Carmen is a 2014, so I guess she’s she’s safe.

Thanks! I shall celebrate with a Manhattan.

My own recipe for French toast (or “frog bread”, as I call it) this morning. Bright sunny day with no agenda to fill. So the word of the day is ‘sloth’. Say it with me: sloth. Hmmm. . .that might be a good Wordle choice.

Still snowing heavily here. I’m cooking two eggs to put in my porridge.

My daughter and I have our credit union accounts linked so we can transfer funds. But oddly, I discovered, quite by error, that I can pull money out of her account! I’ve never heard of such a thing. I would have assumed it would go one way - that I could give money to her, but not that I could take hers.

So instead of giving her $400, I took $400 and I had to set up another transfer to give her $800. High finance!!!
