Ageing up in the MMP

Are you folks engaged? :dubious:

As much as I never want to marry again, I’d consider it with a handyman.
Fair trade I think, I’d cook, clean, and do his laundry.

I wish my son knew how to do more, but growing up without a father he didn’t learn much.

He tried to install the new shower head, but it leaked so we took it down and put the old one back up.

Sari I’d do it for that rate… if I didn’t have to spend the whole 500 just to get a plane ticket to get there…

I realized that I sent my daughter to school without brushing her hair this morning. Oh, well. Clearly it wasn’t messy enough that I noticed that it wasn’t brushed. I just remembered on my way to work that we hadn’t done it…

Flytrap, I need an assistant; would you help out by catching the tree as it comes down? :o

Hang a dryer on a plaster wall? A clothes dryer? Why is it not on the floor, or stacked onto a washer? Or is it a stack & just needs an anchor bolt in the wall?

Did Sahkid use plumbing tape on the threads before installing the new shower head. It’s $1-$2/roll & should prevent leaking.

He used plumbing tape, it came with the shower head.

My dryer is small and is meant to be mounted on the wall. It comes with the hardware to do it.

I guess $500 is being generous, maybe $300 then.

I tried to catch a water heater that fell off the shelf once.
I bled on the check I wrote.

Could have sworn I posted earlier. Didn’t have anything to say anyway. Blurf

Mostly for the discounts but I have played and won awards in “old boys” (over 40) rugby and done some “vintage riders” motorcycle races. The big place I see it though is at work. That first year I realized I could outwork and out-produce people half or a third my age I was “this is really great”. Now the reaction is more “good lord is this really sad”.

As a kid I never considered myself an athlete not being into the normal team sports for American kids. But these days looking back, especially since some of the racing I did was pro, I feel more like I was. Back then it was just fun; now I see just how serious I took it in some ways.
PS – Knoebels was great, family visiting was great, spent too much at Bill’s Bike Barn which is great. Got back in time to go to work yesterday and that was even great. All in all quite pleased with the week so far. Offer not good in California, subject to change without notice and your mileage may vary.

Given the name and my mother being in Gainesville I am sure she is convinced its all my fault.

Same here. May my namesake pass you by so I can come visit Da Cave.
Close but no cigar.

I forgot a bunch of things this morning… forgot to put dinner in the crock pot before I left, too. Just ran home over my lunch to throw some chicken breasts and salsa in the crock pot. Gonna serve them shredded up with some Mexican rice. The leftovers will become chicken enchiladas on Thursday.

Well, the last major piece of furnishings (a ‘tower’ cabinet in the bathroom) has been installed and except for a new doorknob and mounting a couple of mirrors, the work is done on the remodel. I’ll post pictures once I (1) get everything put in place and (2) clean up the mess I’m already making.

Only thing is I’ll be left with a bunch of tile and leftover stuff from the work; anybody need some extra tiles?

ruble, that was one too many ‘greats’ for one weekend. Mr. Murphy will be paying you a visit shortly.

How heavy are they?
How many would be needed to keep somebody underwater?

Which is why you should be hanging on to some of said extra tiles.
It was a cow-orker’s b-day; she said it looked like a clown barfed on her desk with all the confetti that it was decorated with .

Our weather is breezy and at times very breezy and Tis trying to rain again. Very drab and depressing. It could be worse though.

I came home after the weekly manager meeting. I shall make up the time on Thursday when I have to irk late for the Fall Fest. That is if we don’t have to postpone it due to rain.

I went to the grocery store and am cooking spaghetti again because it is so quick and easy. Yes, we eat a lot of sketties. I bought a big beef roast and plan to put it in the crock pot in the morning. Then I will add the carrots and taters when I get home.

Stay safe all in the path of Michael.

I ahould have made chili but I didn’t.
Never even thawed out the meat.

I accidentally took too many pills this morning, I forgot I had akready taken my pills and without paying attention I took my evening pills. One of the side effects is sleepiness, so I took a long nap.
One of the other side effects is tummy troubles, which woke me from my long nap and kept me from going back to sleep.
I should have called the doctor because now I don’t know if I should take the evening dose or not. I think missing a pill is worse than doubling up.
Maybe poison control would know.
Or the pharmacist.

I built a chicken and noodle casserole for supper - kinda made it up as I went along. We’ll see how it tastes shortly.

SIL thinks his job interview went well - hope so!

Not much else of excitement. I’s tahred…

We have supped and are now in chill mode and waitin’ to see what shall be weatherwise. Be nice if TWPTB don’t guess this one right.

I accidentally didn’t take pills at prescribed wee hour of the morning, and sat at my work desk praying for death while I waited for the tramadol [sup]TM[/sup] to kick in.

I took a double dose of heart pills, but I take a very low dosage so shouldn’t have been a problem, and since I am still alive I guess it wasn’t.

The pharmacist said to skip my evening dose so I will.

I’m sorry you need pain pills.
They scare me though.

sari, your son was deprived if he hadn’t heard Country Joe and the Fish before. The barn hunt looks interesting. If the one three hours away wasn’t this weekend, I’d consider a road trip to witness it. Nelson barked the whole time the videos were on. :stuck_out_tongue:

Stay safe swampy and OYKW!

I talked to teh guy two doors down this afternoon. Apparently, he and the former neighbor who lived in three apartments in that many months are going to be parents. He’s not even sure if she’s still preggers, but he wants custody if/when the kid is born. Frankly, I think the kid would be better off with him.

We’re supposed to cool down this weekend, with rain coming and going. Just what we need with all of the skeeters we have now.
