Ageing up in the MMP

I’m ready to be done with the day… alas, another hour and a half. Then I need to replace the fill valve on the toilet at home after dinner. Fun. I just want to go home and sleep. At least Romeo is off today, so he’ll have supper ready and he can handle the little monsters. At least tomorrow will be something different. I’ve never been to a conference in my professional career. I went to some in college for various extracurriculars, but none for a job.

Supper tonight will be veggie-beef soup with french bread.

That’s about all I can manage.

C’mon Firday!!!

Ah, cooking for FCD?

Howdy Y’all! Still hangin’ on here. Lots and lots of wind and rain with more on the way. Could get a lot worse in the next three to four hours. Or not. We are still under a hurricane warnin’. In other news, we supped and 'twas good.

Cooking for the fambly. I made the soup over the weekend and today we finished it and it was yum!

Pulled poke tomorrow.

Chillage tonight.

Good luck, hang in there!

Napped, laundered, went on a beer run, just in case. Making Asian BBQ chicken, with green tea rice, and broccoli with paddystraw 'shrooms.

FCM, not so fast. I go back to work on Friday.:stuck_out_tongue:

Happy hump day!

Read all, retained some. I’s tahred.

Evenin’ all. Watching the weather from Michael approaching all day, I called off soccer practice at 1PM (practice wasn’t until 5) because it was certain to rain.

So of course the *())^&% storm ran into the mountains/hills to the east and shifted northward. We haven’t had a drop of rain all day. Guess my forecasting mojo has hit a dry spell…

Anyway, had a nap, did two loads of laundry, paid my final bill to the contractor, and put some more stuff away. Need to take the trash out to the curb tomorrow. Dinner was Fettuchini Alfredo ala microwave.

swampy, keep hanging in there.

Juliet, just remember that conferences are 10% interesting and 90% B.S., at least in my experience. maybe you’ll get more out of yours.

Michael is puttin’ on quite a show. So far several power flickers but no outage at da cave. We shall shortly turn in for the night and hope this thing goes away soonest.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Sometimes, you sound like a normal person.
I am surprised.

But do you remember how you got home from the bar last night?
A biiiggg line of clouds ruined sunset at the last minute; however, I did get some cool shots of the Ghostbusters taking on a giant octopus. No, that’s not some code, there really, really was a giant octopus!

Howdy, glad the weather has not been real bad as of the last time you posted Swampy. Some places on the coast are horrible.

I came home a little early and added the veggies to my roast and made a salad. Supper was very good and there is a bunch left over so I shan’t have to cook tomorrow night. Not that I will be here anyway. The Fall Fest is from 4-7pm and then tear down and clean up must happen. I will be lucky if I get home by 10pm. If’n We do manage to get it all cleaned up and put away I will probably take off on Firday. I am going to irk this Sat with the new girl and then she will be on her own the following Sat. That is the plan anyway. We shall see.

Nighty night all.

:dubious:
“Normal” is a setting on my washing machine.

All I wanted was a little ass.

Rainy commute, but I don’t think it’s Michael yet - I think that’s supposed to hit later today. In any case, it was an unpleasant ride in - wet roads, rain, and oncoming headlights make it hard to see the lane marks. But I survived, so there’s that.

Happy Thursday!

**swampy **posted in FB this morning - he doesn’t have power but he survived Michael, so there’s that. I’m guessing he’ll be back here when the juice starts flowing again.

Morning all. Also saw swampy’s FB post, so we’ll await his return to the MMP.

Garbage is out to the curb. It’s 65F and that’s about as hot as we’re going to get, it looks like Fall has finally arrived.

Butters, I’d say have fun at the Fall Fest, but it sounds more like working that festing for you…

And now to do a little housework (as little can I get away with…)

Happy Thorsday!

It’s grey, gloomy, and rainy outside.

I’m glad Swampy is okay, I worried about him.

Bumba, the History of Rock class has a rather loose intrepretation of rock, I think.
Yesterday’s chapter was on jazz and rock fusion. The only names I recognized were Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, and Herbie Hancock. It is an interesting chapter, but I’m not fond of jazz. Mostly because bugles, trumpets, and trombones hurt my ears. In general, I hate horns. I can get into some ‘cool jazz’ in small doses.
Later lessons will include Madonna and Michael Jackson, who I consider pop. not rock.

Power just went out, lovely.

and now is back

Ripple is being especially bratty this morning.
He knows when I am on an irk call I can’t do anything, so this is when he will chew the heels of my feet, or go bang on Sah-son’s door.

But, but, but how will we survive w/o knowing the Souf Jawja weather?

So does the Rock & Roll hall of fame. Did you see this year’s nominees? He belongs in the Music HoF, but I’d hardly call what he does Rock.

Confession. I own a fainting couch. It is not aubergine velvet though. It is ivory with a floral emboss. It is now covered by the official Wimbledon 2014 towel, seeing as Ursala Kitteh has claimed the fainting couch as HERS. It is very comfy for naps.

Yesterday it was 78 and humid. Today the high might get to 50 and it is very windy. I’m fine with that.
