Unfortunately, “single mom on food stamps who picks up guys in bars and on the internet and has a passive-aggressive mother” doesn’t exactly paint you as a catch to the sort of intelligent, (presumably) educated, responsible man you are looking for.
I agree with this. You have to be a catch to get one.
Why not focus on fixing what’s wrong with your life first and THEN go after a life partner?

This! I have several single male friends/co-workers I would love to introduce to a nice woman. (Sorry, though, I don’t live near you.) And I would love to meet a nice woman with a well-behaved child to trade babysitting with! (I already know several, but the more the better…)
