I’m torn between Mandisa, who sang better and Lisa, who sang Who’s Loving You. Have I mentioned how much I love that song?
Randy was right. Mandisa was a little sharp on the verses. The chorus was right in her range but was actually kind of safe and unchallenging for her.
Nobody really knocked it out of the park tonight. I think Lisa was probably the best. Cox was the worst. I predict that Cox and either Brenna or Kinnik will go.
I’m calling Time-Warner. I want a refund for 90 minutes worth.
Oh and Paris. She was pretty good too.

Oh thank heavens I’m not hating her alone! At least she didn’t freakin’ cry tonight, although she managed to slip in the line about little dogs having more clothes than she does.

I don’t know what make-up is what. I saw foundation in a tube once and didn’t know what it was and I thought a lipstick was an eyeliner until I saw it opened. There are a lot of girls (and women) who don’t know a dang thing about make-up.
I think it’s believable that girl who is a serious high school athlete would not bother tolearn much about make-up. There’s not much point in putting on a face in the morning if you’re just going to be working out in a gym all day every day. Plus, Ayla doesn’t need it anyway.
I forgot about that. Maybe mom puts her face on at the TV station.
I can believe that she hasn’t used it – like Dio said, she doesn’t need it. But I can’t believe she doesn’t know what it is. I took what she said literally, and probably shouldn’t have.
The statement felt contrived, a way to make herself stand out. I don’t blame her. Pickler is the Bumpkin, Lisa and Paris are the Cute Kids, Mandisa is the Big Woman With a Voice, Brenna’s the Bitch – Ayla needs a hook, and maybe Natural Girl is what she decided on.
Well, shucks, do you know they make salad outa spinach here in caleyefornia? Well, I thought spinach was just for popeye, but they take it and they make a salad right out of it, like it was iceberg lettuce. I ate me some of that and it weren’t bad at all, but the ca-lay-mar-eye, why that’s octopus or somethin’, and I’m not eating that no more, nor the spinach salad neither, but these caleyefornians, they sure are crazy with their spinach salads and their octopus and they put clothes on their dogs and they make movies here and my daddy’s in prison. Yuck.
Brenna is terrible. The only way she’s stays in the competition is if people really do mistake kneejerk sassback for personality, but they’ve done it before. Heather is completely forgettable; I thought she’d be gone last week and will be much surprised if she isn’t gone tomorrow. If Brenna stays in on the b-factor, Kinnik will go.
Not a good night for most of the girls.
I can’t bear Brenna. She must go, and so should Kinnik. She seems like a decent person, but I can’t remember a darn thing about her after she’s finished singing.
I'm not all that interested in Heather, Melissa or Kellie either, but I wouldn't mind if they stayed a bit longer.Brenna would do great if she had her own talk show - she could talk and talk and talk - all about herself. She sucks! She has no vocal range and can’t stay on note. She should be waving goodbye to all her imaginary friends in tvland.
Kellie is so ‘aw shucks’ cute and she performed well tonight. Not a great voice but there are a lot of country folks out there.
Melissa performed with some energy and I think she’s safe for a little while.
Kinnik does not have any pizzaz and I think her vocal skills are suspect - she hasn’t done anything to impress.
Katharine is has such a beautiful face but that outfit made her look pregnant. She has to showcase her voice cuz I feel she’s got the package.
Ayla is ok. Tough to judge her cuz she sings very well but doesn’t wow you.
Heather is no Mariah and probably the next to depart.
Lisa, Paris, and Mandisa have got great pipes but two of them are too young and cute to be able to win the competition. That leaves Mandisa as a strong frontrunner.
So…a guy is gonna win all the marbles. Isn’t it obvious.
Brenna sure had to prod the audience to get that lil’ reluctant stamp of approval at the end of her yapping didn’t she?
I thought the pickler sounded great this week - a direct opposite of how she has sounded every other time she has performed. Maybe it really is all about song choice.
I thought Mandisa sucked as usual. Sorry, I just don’t get it.
And I missed the aw shucks moments from her. I DVR’d it and ran out of time to catch it all (Amazing Race takes priority of course) so I zipped through all the filler (backstory, Randy, Paula, etc). Just singin’ and Simon. Took like 20 minutes to watch.

Simon sounds like Hannibal Lecter when he’s imitating Kellie Pickler saying ‘calamari’.
Kellie has the hook of all time. She will be around until all the dead wood has been cleared away.
