Alls you had to do was show up, look pretty and sing the song. It’s a pretty song, it’s a gorgeous song, and you actually have a pretty voice underneath all that drama you’re bringing. Silly silly girl.
Loved Elliott. He did a really great job. Just love him.
I totally agree with Queen Tonya about Katharine. I really like her and she definitely had the voice for that song. So what happened???
She could have guaranteed the semifinals with a wardrobe malfunction.
I think it’s going to be guys from here on out. That was Katharine’s worst night so far; both songs were poor. She has a good voice, but just doesn’t know how to interepret songs.
Taylor: two very good performances.
Chris: one very good, and one solid performance.
Elliott: probably the best vocalist of the final four, but not much versatility in style. I think he’ll be next to go.
Poor Kat. Really not a good night for her, was it? Fashionistically or musically speaking.
Speaking of Michael J. Fox, Elliott shouldn’t go without shaving. His clips from Graceland looked like he was on set for Teen Wolf.
It’s obviously “get rid of Katharine” week.
Every performance can be described as “karaoke” Diogenes. Every one stands up and sings someone else’s song to lame instrumentation, and some performances are somehow not karaoke? It’s a karaoke contest.
Doh. I just started watching AI in Season 4, and I read that as JXL’s version (which actually did overshadow Chris’s version, IMHO).
Anyone else having trouble getting through? I have Cingular and I can only get through by text.

The Windchill family is voting for Elliott and Kat and are troubled by the ease at which we are getting through. That’s why I ask.
Did the judges all take their happy pills tonight? I disagreed with the judges quite a few times tonight.
For instance, I think Taylor’s rendition of “In the Ghetto” was awful. “Jailhouse Rock” was okay.
Liked Chris’ “Suspicious Minds” but meh on “Little Less Conversation.”
I wish Elliott hadn’t picked a lesser known Elvis song. It’s going to work against him if everyone else sings songs that are recognizable. “Trouble” was good. He’s just a darling guy and I like him. I also like that he loves his mom. Hey, he’s just like Elvis!
And Katharine blew it tonight with her karaoked version of “Hound Dog.” I actually thought “Falling in Love” was okay, except that she bugs the crap out of me when she smiles her way through every song she sings. It works for upbeat number, but this song has a twinge of melancholy. Grinning just isn’t appropriate.
BTW, I was able to get through 4 times to vote for Chris, but couldn’t get through for Elliott at all. Hmmm.

Am I the first to comment on the scariest plastic surgery so far this season? I don’t know who Priscilla Presley looks like these days, but it ain’t Priscilla Presley.
I voted for Elliott. It took me 45 minutes to get through (that’s just trying once in a while, not constantly), and then I had no problem.
I’m baffled on who to vote for, though. I thought everyone did a good job. Nobody was perfect, but all did very well and their mis-steps were minor. Each performance had really strong moments. The only one that kind of made me look away was “Jailhouse Rock,” and that’s only because of Taylor’s weird squatty dance.
I seriously don’t want anyone to go home.
Chris “A Little Less Conversation” was the first time I really liked him all season.
Er… and I used to write in sentences. Chris’s performance of ALLC was the fist time, etc.
She was on Oprah last year and I thought the same thing. Plastic surgery ain’t her friend. FYI, there was quite a bit of tension between her and Lisa Marie over Priscilla’s obsession with perfection. Maybe she and Kenny Rogers can join Joan Rivers on a new reality show: “When plastic surgery goes awry.”
