Alllrighty, who’s going to go. My choices aren’t any indication of what I thought of their performance (in some cases it is), just who I think people might forget.
-Stephanie. I think she gets kind of overshadowed. It’d be a shame if she goes, but I wonder how popular she is?
-Chris R. Every week I forget he’s even in the competition.
-Phil. I just have a feeling.
With any luck it’ll be Sanjaya but I have a feeling he’ll be kept around. Haley won’t be voted off because she started to cry, I figure.
Chris R. annoys me the most and entertains me the least. Begone! And make me a sandwich while you’re at it! What, Bizarro night is over and I’m not the most powerful woman in the world anymore? Sigh…
You nailed it drm. Steph is assloads better than Chris R. or Powder, but she’s forgettable in the mess of good female singers.

Good save for Haley, with Simon saying it wasn’t really THAT bad, the audience will not give her sympathy votes and will stand on merits.
When Simon told Chris R. take away the personality and charisma and that song doesn’t sound good. I wasn’t aware of any personality or charisma from CR.
I did not notice Haley had forgotten words, but Brandon’s silence was too obvious. Youre supposed to try and cover.

[li]From the Things Don’t Always Make Sense file: Of all hugely popular bands of the past 10 years, Coldplay are far and away the single worst of the bunch. Chris S’ arrangement was very Coldplay. I also liked it. Go figure. Oh, and put your glasses back on and lose the soul patch.[/li][li]I ranked Sanjaya over Brandon (by a hair), but please, in the name of all that is good and holy, please send Sanjaya packing tomorrow.[/li][li]I fully expected Ryan to ask Simon “Did you just call Diana Ross a whale?”[/li][li]I’m not big on fashion, but what the hell was that thing Haley was wearing? I swear, my wife has a nightie exactly like it, just without the big, fucked-up bow at at the bottom. Speaking of Haley, I maintain that she’s going to be this year’s Katherine – a mediocre talent, skating by on…well, I have no fricking clue how McPhee skated her way to second place, and can only hope that Haley doesn’t pull that same stunt, but she’ll still stick around longer than she deserves.[/li][li]Converseley, Gina will go home a lot earlier than she deserves.[/li][li]I’m glad I’m not as distracted by Phil’s noggin as a lot of people seem to be (my wife can’t stand looking at the TV when he’s on). Upon review, I think Haley should be booted for that monstrosity of a dress she wore. (As well as the horrendous job she did on the song.) What the fuck was that?
Lackluster and disappointing AI. Blake has a little talent, but that arrangement didn’t quite work. HOWEVER, compared to Sligh’s… what you said, rockle.
Chris R. can’t sing, at least not today. Sheesh. I like the guy but that was pants. And what’s the deal with his centurion-helmet hairdo and sideburns? Crazy, man!
Jordin is really pretty. Wow. Nice. The song was pretty good too. Not my cup of tea but decently sung.
The only thing I can figure is that the Rodgers/Edwards songs were out of play. Those are her most fun, danceable songs. Too bad. Diana definitely is puking in a bucket and about to go on a drunken rampage after this steaming pile.
Phil was surprisingly good. He’s just not likable, is he? But he did well today. Looks a little like Nosferatu.
I would like to line up Brandon, Haley, and Chris S. and slap them all like Moe from the Three Stooges. Horrible, horrible job, guys.
Dialidol at this point, after nearly an hour and a half of voting, has Melinda in first place, Lakisha second, Jordin third, and Sanjaya fourth. These four are predicted to be safe.
Holy fuck! Sanjaya has now moved ahead of Jordin!

Even Melinda’s was weird. She was wonderful anyway, no mistake – she could make Who Let the Dogs Out sound great. But imagine if she had chosen Good Morning Heartache.

Sanjaya MUST go away. He started out forgettable and has moved into the zone of massively annoying.
Voting is now over, and according to Dialidol, Sanjaya is safe. He’s third, as a matter of fact, only Lakisha and Melinda are ahead of him.
Somehow, he must have a broad fan base, I doubt Vote For the Worst can have a lot of impact at this point.
I’m casting votes for Melinda, Lakisha and Sabrina. For the most part, the others were either just so-so or they mangled the songs/arrangements.
What was up with Haley’s dress? A bow/band under the butt cheeks? Why?
Does Gina have a tongue stud? I thought I saw a flash of metal in there.
I was so bored with some of the performances that I can barely remember who sang what, but I do believe that Brandon will be going home. If not him, then Phil, Gina or Haley.
Now I’m waiting for someone to come up with a song about a whale in Beverly Hills and upload it to YouTube.
Sabrina went home last week.
And I kinda liked Haley’s dress. Especially the part in front that’s above her waist and below her neck, and between her arms. I liked that part of her dress a LOT!

I have to agree with Dio here. That was one of the worst arrangements of a song on AI I’ve seen in six years.
How could anyone who cares about that girl allow her to go out in public wearing that thing?

I was surprised that I liked Haley’s song. At least she put some emotion into it and tried to capture the feeling of the song - something that doesn’t get done nearly enough on this show. And even more surprising, I liked the personality she showed tonight. Because up to now I think she’s sucked and didn’t much like the personality she displayed. She’s nowhere near the same league as Lakisha and Melinda, but based on this performance along I’d put her solidly in the same pack with Gina and Stephanie, slightly behind Jordin, who is slightly behind Lakisha and Melinda.
Lakisha and Melinda are already going to be stars. With those voices, you can bet the record companies are already lined up to sign them. They’re just clearly in the big time, a step above everyone else on the show.
The question will be whether there will come a time when they start splitting each others votes, because they both have the same kind of big agressive R&B sound. It’ll get interesting with them about the time there are five or six singers left.
LaKisha and Melinda aren’t going anywhere.
I think Jordin pulled in a lot of votes from outside whoever her fanbase was tonight, so she’s safe.
Sanjaya, Gina, Haley and Blake have already established a base of people who love them and will vote for them regardless, IMO.
The same MIGHT be said of Phil (who had a really solid vocal performance), Brandon and Chris R. with the boy band thing.
Chris Sligh lost some votes tonight with a total betrayal of his previous character and the song choice.
Stephanie has done difficult but inaccessible songs up to now, and gave a sub-par performance tonight. No one’s out there to vote for her. She’s gone.
