Stephanie doesn’t sound half-bad. She made this song sound pretty contemporary.
Stephanie always sounds like Beyoncé. And we already have one of those – although, I prefer the non-weave on Stephanie to the wrecked wig on Beyoncé. BUT ANYWAY. I like Stephanie’s dress; it looks like one the actual 1970’s dresses that Diana Ross herself might have worn. Not crazy about this song, or this performance, or Stephanie, frankly. She sounds like the lead singer in a wedding band (no offense to LaToya London intended). Am I really this old?
SIDE NOTE: I prefer Donna Summer’s greatest disco hits to Diana Ross’s. Am I a bad person?
Huh? Stephanie was a non-entity. I don’t thinks she was bad-- she was. . . nothing. I remember Haley better and Stephanie just finished.
Oh and you can see her booby! Which would have went well with the sexy moaning from the original song, which Stephanie didn’t do.
Oh, jumping Jesus on a pogo stick, Chris’s outfit is terrible. I can’t even hear him singing because this horrific white jacket has made me so blind, I’ve gone deaf. And the tie is just dumb.
Just as Chris started his ridiculous dance on stage I thought, “man I’m gonna hate this.”
Maybe an unbiased listener can help me out, is he as bad as I think he is?

By the by, did anyone else see the Coke ad with the tagline “Thanks for drinking” and have this terrible feeling that Paula’s been sleeping with someone at the advertising agency?
I have a certain amount of respect for a few of these competitors now. It had to be hard for Chris to hear that. I mean, millions of people are watching and someone is telling you that you suck (even if he did). That’s not easy and he handled it pretty well. I have no doubt he’s going to go into his hotel room and swear a blue streak, but he kept his composure on stage. That’s something.
Stephanie did an OK performance, I think. I’m feeling lost because I don’t know the original song so I can’t understand what the judges are nattering on about. Sigh.
Chris R.: Diogenes, you are right. That was the *ne plus ultra *of boybandishness. I halfway expected him to do an encore of “The Right Stuff”.
Ship all the guys home now and save some time.
What song is Jordin singing? It sounds very Disney. She likes Disney like songs, doesn’t she?
But really, I thought I knew all of Diana’s songs. What was that?
Oooooh … Jordin doesn’t sound as good as I had hoped. And I hope she doesn’t read this, because she’s about eight feet tall and she can obviously kick my lily-white ass.
OK, wait. Randy liked it? Am I on crack? Why aren’t I enjoying it? Hmm … Simon liked it too. I’m the odd man out, I guess. But I didn’t like it. I do like her dress, though.
And watching the playbacks: Sligh needs some Frizz-Eaze, and I need to go on a diet, because Gina looks killer in those pants. I want to wear leather pants!

That wasn’t immaculate but it was a good shot better than everyone except maybe Melinda and LaKisha and it wasn’t that far off them.
I’m amazed that Jordin got that much love from the judges. I thought she was really shaky and searching for pitch in places.
It was from “Land Before Time”, a non-Disney animated feature about dinosaurs.
Nice job for Jordin. Not spectacular but I’d put her in the top three behind “Ki Ki” and Melinda.

I thought that she sounded excellent, and looked lovely. As good as Melinda and LaKisha, maybe not, but certainly one of the best of the night.
I really enjoyed Jordin’s performance. It was very well-suited to the song, and her voice was strong. If someone doesn’t like theme songs or Disneyish tunes, I guess it wouldn’t work for them. But I love animated movies and their music in general, so it worked for me.
Brandon, Sanjaya or Chris R can go home tomorrow and I wouldn’t shed a tear. Well, I had hoped that Haley would have done worse because I picked her to leave next in the prediction thread but she surprised me by not sucking too much tonight.
