An actual Monday morning MMP

My condolences to your insurance premiums.

I was speaking of Emily and her post count.

Humor.

It is a difficult concept.

Not quite sure. Birdy was going R to L, I think impact area was R front tire/wheel but it was hard to tell from behind the Ferd. All I know for sure is that it looked like fireworks made out of feathers instead of black powder.
I eventually pulled up along the L side a mile or two down the road at a light & talked to the driver; he said he didn’t even know about it until I said something to him.

Especially on the Internet.

Off tomorrow.

Saw some fireflies last night - first I’ve seen of the season. I love them, but they make me melancholy: they don’t last long, and they make me think of people in parts of the planet where there are no bugs with glowing flashing butts …

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 63 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 88 for the day. It’s been warm out but so far not real humid which is kinda wierd. Oh well, I shall enjoy that while it lasts.

shoe it is sad that there are parts of the world where bug butts don’t glow.

Ok, now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy demands to be fed. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

My coffeemaker stopped working again. This is the second one. It only lasted a couple of months with me. Maybe just one month. I’m going to acquire another one but I’ll also get a backup because the ones I’m acquiring seem to be crap. Also, my dehumidifier has the automatic shutoff light on when there’s no water in the tray. I hope it hasn’t broken too.

And my hairbrush that I’ve only had for four months is cracking to pieces. I can’t have nice things.

Oh the humanity!

So Happy It’s Thursday. It’s also Virtual Firday, and vacation starts at Quit O’clock today.

Morning all,

I ated too much sushi last night and still has an overly full tum-tum.

In more depressing news Mr. Jynxster is definately out of his job only because he doesn’t have a degree. The new contract was worded weirdly and new contract company didn’t catch it before they bid. We are pretty sure he is going to be able to get his old job back as he was only at this one for six months, (they are already talking start dates), but he will have to go back to old job salary and the pay cut sucks sweaty donkey balls. Although it sounded like if he was able to stay at his current job he was looking at a pay cut anyways. I ***AM *** very greatful he will have a job, but loss in pay means we have to put some things off that we were looking forward to doing. Also there is a slight chance he may not get the Monday - Friday 7-3pm shift. But he will have a job.

Alright I am done whining (for now) :).

That’s the saddest thing I will read today. My condolences.

And since this is the internet, a piece of pointless advice–I spent years constantly buying and replacing cheap coffeemakers. And then I bought an expensive one. It’s worth the price.

Of course, I would only make coffee in the house on weekends, and I’d forget to empty the pot, so there would be mold and grossness and everything else come the following Saturday, which may have had something to do with it. Thank the heavens for K-cups.

In other news, I heard a rumor that it was supposed to be sunny and warm today. It is thus far not. I went through all the trouble of shaving my legs and wearing a pretty skirt. It had better get warm before lunchtime. You hear me, weather?

Lucky that does suck for Mr. Lucky but like you said at least he has a job. One can always look for other irk whilst one has irk. Maybe sump’n real good will come along.

I don’t have a blurf but I do have a large don juan. I don juan be here at irk!

I just hate it when that happens!

Somehow, I read that as, “…dog butts don’t glow.” I think a dog with a flashing ass would be pretty jake.

Perhaps doggio will care to comment on this.

I think I have a hard enough time sharing my bed with my dog … if his ass were also transmitting Morse code, I’d never get to sleep.

I do not need to read that while drinking my first cup of coffee.

This will go on you Permanent Record!

I’ll feed Gordie a box of glow sticks, and let you know…

Up, caffeinated, and off irk. Just laundry and the doctor’s appointment today.

Lucky, glad Mr. Lucky still has something.

Drae, it’s warm and sunny here, but I didn’t shave my legs.(nor do I own a pretty skirt :p)

My Permanent Record went platinum last year. :stuck_out_tongue:

“Record” ::sigh:: … Man, I’m old.

Well, I spent an hour last night in my closet with the kitties as the tornado siren went off just after 9:30. The kitties thought I was insane, as I’m always shooing them out of the closet or closing the door on their little faces when they try to get in, but they enjoyed their chance to go spelunking amongst the stuff. It does look like everything hit far southwest of us, but there have been several deaths and a lot of destruction. I’ll be making a donation to the Red Cross later today.

Is anyone else in some form of choir? I swear, it’s the main reason I go to church, and we had our final practice last night. One of the great things about being a Unitarian Universalist is that we get to sing decidedly non-religious songs. Sunday’s anthem will be “It Don’t Mean a Thing”. We also do a lot of classical choral arrangements, but really not much of the spiritual hymns. Our hymnal is a great big facepalm, as the committee that chose the songs often changed to words to be “more inclusive” and they went a little overboard. Our non-UU choir director even asked once “is it okay to say God? You won’t get upset, will you?” We told him no, but he’d have to write a five-page dissertation on how the traditional patriarchal Judeo-Christian interpretation of the divine has oppressed all our inner children.

The 2013 Cooler Lid and Boat Fender season is here!

People just don’t know enough to secure these items before they take the boat out for the weekend, so they fly off on the freeways. :smack:
