Guess night shift was off last night.
As usual, I’m the first one up in the household. Critters have been tended to, and I’m caffeinating. In an hour or so, I’ll pop the casserole into the oven. I’d really rather go back to bed, but that ain’t gonna happen.
I need a vacation - anyone got a spare lying around that I can use??

I’ve been googling GPS stuff (mostly to get educated, but also thinking of the not-exciting getting-lost experience last weekend). Anyone know anything about GPS units for cars?
Also, I’m trying to get inspired to go finish dragging stuff out of the bedroom so that I can get started pulling up carpet.
I’m gonna have an FCM kind of day, I hope.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ here. I’m about to go purtify and we’re goin’ out to brekkies. Golden Corral has a breakfast buffet on weekends tha’s good. Think I mentioned goin’ a couple weeks ago. Anywho, we’re goin’ armed with a coupon to pig out. I’m hongry and intend to get my money’s worth. Ol’ y’all know who says he’s hongry too. Beware Golden Corral!
It rained most all last night from the looks of things. We may have more today. I’m hopin’ it holds off til later in the afternoon cause we have visions of pool time today.

Morning, up and caffeinating here abouts too. Wish we had a Golden Corral nearby, but we don’t; they do have a good breakfast buffet on the weekend, though, as Swampy so thoughtfully noted. Daughter and I are headed out momentarily, to get errands, etc. done before it gets too hot and humid.
Can’t believe the Night Shift Folk weren’t around last night! Do ya think some of them actually had something to do on a Friday night?! Gasp! Imagine!

I have a headache and I’m generally grumpy for not much reason. Off to work, though, must make mini-croissant sandwiches and stuff. Ugh.

I’ve moved a small cabinet so that I could move my dresser into the dining room. Made me think that I want to bring my extra dresser (which I like very much and actually goes with my bed) upstairs to replace the little cabinet (which I don’t like very much). I’m planning to paint the furniture in the dining room so that it matches color-wise (I have about 3 styles in there already). I need three additional dining-room chairs and am thinking I could get three that don’t match and paint them up to match. Later this summer, maybe.
I’m considering heading out to Home Depot before it gets too icky out and before the biking crowds descend on my neighborhood. Guess I should work on my list.

Nat did pretty okay last night, although he started rolling and crying a lot around four. Four I can live with. Another thing to mention to the doctor, anyway.
Still miserable out. I think I’ll make some iced tea to celebrate Muppet’s visit.
Okay, baby TMI, advice?
My normally pooping all the time child hasn’t exploded out his back end at all for a day and a half. He seems fine, so I’m not worried yet, but should I? The smaller amount of laundry is nice. He seems really gassy, though. Hm. My diet hasn’t changed at all. Can’t be that.
My grrrr has increased. I stopped by my post office box hoping to pick up two checks totalling around $500 which will pay my health insurance for the month. NO CHECKS. One is a corporation, which I can understand stuff getting lost along the way, but the other is an individual who has had two whole weeks to get his ass in gear and send me the money for his party that has already been completed. And payment was, in fact, due upon receipt of the food but apparently trying to be a nice and accomodating person has come back to bite me again. Sorry if I’m not being very customer friendly today, but I’m at least $1000 short for month-ending bills and this 500 would have really helped.
No idea–has his feeding changed? Is he only breast fed? We always just gave our kids a very small amount of dilute prune juice (like one oz or so–30ml), which did the trick just fine, but I’m not entirely sure that he is constipated. Then again, he is really gassy… sorry to not be much help.
I didn’t read the last page so I missed snuts. I am still tired from yesterday but am facing a LARGE pile of mulch in the driveway. YAY for free mulch, but gah on the amount of work I have to get it off the driveway and where it will do the most good. I have one wheelbarrow. It’s gonna be a long day.

Oh, this just in (from last night): TH talked to the Board and the COB, they voted to RETURN VEB to office. The Feds are gone this coming week on vaca or some such. No doubts heads will roll when they return. The utter stupidity of people–the B doesn’t want VEB to “lose face”. Um–cluephone, anyone? :smack: :rolleyes: :mad:
rigs sometimes stoopid knows no bounds. The Feds will come back from vacation ready for blood. I just hope everything goes ok for TH.

We are back from raiding Golden Corral. I had a really nummy waffle. Plus aigs, bacon, grits, yogurt, sausages, fruit and pastry. I have a feelin’ no more face stuffin’ shall happen today.
I put a ham on the smoker when we got back. I’m usin’ hickory and pecan wood chips. It smells good out on the deck right now.
LiLi and Muppet have fun! Pics are demanded.
Ok, we’re gonna go play at the pool for a while. Looks like we might have rain by midafternoon, so now’s the time.

I’ve been to Home Depot, to the grocery store and to CVS for antihistamines. Got lunch stuff at the grocery (chicken tenders from the deli b/c chicken sandwich sounded yummy.
rigs, they need to put you in charge of that company, since it appears that you’re the only one anywhere near the situation that has any common sense. If I were TH, I’d be getting out of there as fast as I could. This can’t possibly end well for the company.
