an early yet hurried MMP

**Taxi ** I’m a pepper freak and love the multipack, and the red ones especially. Red ones are typically 88 cents on sale at Hy-Vee and they do have a multi-pack of 4 peppers for under $3 at Aldi’s. All depends though. Sometimes it red, green, yellow, othertimes it’s 2 greens and an orange, etc. I love me some peppers. Too bad hubby hates them. I wonder if Hy-Vee is an SE MN thing then. Oh well. Had to suggest it.

Honestly Taxi, I’d leave at 4 when the office closes…but that’s just me! Though it all depends on how slow or fast the day has been as well…decisions, decisions!

Hm. Recipe? Hm.

I just put maybe three-quarters of a cup of crumbled feta, three or four roasted peppers, a clove of garlic, and a half-cup or so yogurt in the food processor and blitz it, and then add lemon juice and/or chili garlic sauce to taste.

It’s good. I really can’t think of a good way to screw up feta and roasted peppers, except maybe by adding mud. Or peanut butter. Or something.

I also love red peppers, but my habit is supported by whomever it is in Bulgaria who put out those giant jars of roasted red peppers, packed with garlic. We’ve usually got one in the fridge.

Thanks LiLi!!! I added it to the blog so I wouldn’t forget about it!

I haven’t done any actual work since before I left for lunch at 11:15.

If you haven’t done any actual work then I say leave!

Yup, that’s what I’ve decided. It’s only 1/2 an hour before the office officially closes anyway. So I’m outta here. Have a good weekend everyone!

I need a geek! I keep getting BSOD - boo! I’ll try to find one at work on Monday. Failing that, MamaTigs, I might try to work out something with you and your guy.

So far so good. We spent most of the day working in the basement. Same for tomorrow and Sunday. I’m pooped and sweaty - shower awaits.

Gonna post before this goes away. MWAH! and hugs all around!!

URP! 'Scuse me! Little baby mini cheeseburgers were good! NUM!

CutiePie your praises have been sung by ol’ y’all know who over that baked N.O.T. salad. I’ve been told that anytime I feel like makin’ it would be fine. Somebody’s gettin’ a little too big for his britches. Later we shall have watermelon. I bought a really nice lookin’ one and have it chillin’ in the beerator. I love ice cold watermelon.

So, I take it taxi snuck out early. Good for you!

Le sigh… need to go clean up the kitchen.

Later Y’all!

Wow, 30 minutes without BSOD…

Dare I hope?!?!?
:dubious:

:o

Thanks! I have to make some for my best friend’s baby shower which is tomorrow. And since my baked potatoes got cannibalized for another project, I’ll probably end up cooking them in the microwave first. (No sense on turning on a HUGE oven for a few measly potatoes.)

Congrats, McUne!

Might I suggest frozen pepper strips for all the pepper lovers? At Gordon Food Service Marketplace that have a large bag of IQF red and green pepper strips that is only about $5 for about 2.5 pounds.

drunk. Birthday. Movie.

Sugary coated nut snack called… Snuts

I kid you not. Snuts?

Stoopid name.

YAY! Work is done for the weekend. I’m hope and chillin’ with some coffee and doing a bit of blogging.

Mahna[sup]2[/sup] - By all means, smack away. Matter of fact, in case you’re interested in putting that fish into words, I’ve collected an assortment of means by which people can contact Rogers and tell them what boneheads they are. (But nicely, so as not to qualify your letter as a candidate for immediate shuffling off to the round file.) I doubt any of it will do any good, but I’m hoping that perhaps the message will get through somewhere to someone of influence.

Smartypants - We’re considering getting them fixed. It’s kind of expensive here though (I imagine it is everywhere, I suppose), so it’s not something we can just nip off and do without figuring out how we’re going to fit it into the budget.

Soapy - I had to read that three times, on account of I kept reading it as “sugary coated nut sack.” And of course that just made me think of the SNL “Schwetty Balls” skit. (Useless trivia: That skit has evidently inspired a line of golf balls.)

Wow - still on line - yay!

Daughter and her friend are enroute - they should be here within an hour. I’m making mac-n-cheese (friend is veggie - glad I didn’t make meatloaf…) and steaming some Amish corn on the cob. Dunno what we’ll do for dessert.

I still need a shower - after the mac-n-cheese is done. Oh yeah - and there’s a french toast casserole in the fridge, waiting for breakfast. YUM!

I need chocolate. Stat.

Congrats BooFae on the new job!! I know you’ll be happier away from Tin Knickers. LOL What a contrary bunch you currently work with!

Wow, was I glad today was Firday. Unfortunately, I could barely work because I just wanted to go home!! LOL Ah, it’s always something. Woo hoo for the weekend. Tomorrow will bring a foray to the local Whole Paycheck market to get a few of their rather pricey goodies, then on Sunday I’m hoping to get to a local Farmer’s Market. All of these forays depend greatly on the heat and humidity, unfortunately; if it’s too unbearable, I’ll be limited to what I can get from the Safeway, which is a block away.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend!

Ooooh, thanks for the reminder about combinations, Smartie! I grew up with one and it was the best EVAH. It looks like LG makes several (there are also some from less well-known brands; maybe there will be more options by the time I’m ready to buy). Just the thought of not needing to transfer clothes from one appliance to the other makes me smile. It looks like the cycle times vary pretty widely. One of them said it took 6 hours to do a full load. Ours didn’t take much longer than a normal wash + dry cycle. Also, congrats on the good buys.

And a belated happy 30th birthday year to you, Muppet (since the day wasn’t all that hot).

I’ve read everything, but it apparently went in one eye and out the other…

Need to go plan my weekend; I’ll be back after that…

Hugs.

Woot! Finally home. We also finally got our daughter’s graduation present ordered. We got her a Dell XPS laptop computer. I can’t remember the model number, but it should more than serve her needs. It wasn’t cheap either.

I told **Mr. Taters ** that the microwave potato recipe has been renamed “THOSE FRIGGIN’ GOOD POTATOES!” and he was credited for renaming them. He got quite a laugh out of that.

I’m tired and don’t feel like cooking, but the hubby is already asking about dinner, so I guess I’ll have to cook something.

Well, I suppose I should get going. Smooches to all.

MOOOOOOM I suppose a batch of bacon chocolate chip cookies is out of the question for dessert?

We had a hyuuuuuuuuuuge thunderboomer a little while ago. ‘Twas nice! Now it’s just rainin’ a nice slow rain, which is also nice. Dang I’m glad I mowed today. After this rain, my front yard especially would be like a hay field if it wasn’t mowed. No wonder that cow that wandered into my yard and snacked liked it so much.

Ok, off to surf a bit and then get “appreciated”.

I was just looking on iTunes for a ‘best of’ Frank Sinatra album. What I found was unbelievable… 97 songs for $9.98.

Speaking of vegetarians and bacon cookies…

This morning I was in full swing production of lunch for about 115 people and one of my clients called to say that her lunch for 12 people had amongst them 5 vegetarians who were so strict that their food couldn’t even be delivered in the same bag that the meat was delivered in. :dubious: :smack: And that was how my baked potatoes were cannibalized, they ended up getting a watered down baked potato bar without chili and bacon bits. (It was the best that I could do on such short notice.)

OK…here’s some obvious stuff I forgot: Yay on the new job, BooFae!!! And yay on keeping the old job, McUne!!!

Snuts? <snerk>

97 songs for $9.98 is incredible! How cool.

I think I’ve picked out colors for both house and bedroom. I’m going to go get small cans of them at Home Depot tomorrow so that I can make sure I don’t hate them.

Guess I should continue clean up, bedroom painting prep, etc.

I love it when a picture I take looks awesome. Then I play around with it and get it even better. LOVE it. Makes my day.
And thanks for celebrating with me everyone. And congrats on the new job Boofae!
