Howdy Y’all! ‘Tis been another excitin’ day of painters and movin’ furniture around. I have one bedroom semi put together. Tomorrow shall be finishin’ that room up and then the other bedroom. New furniture for the master bedroom will be here on Firday. YAY! Oh, also gotta get the art back on walls but that will happen next week. Can’t have all the fun at once now can I?
Awww, poor baby. (It was wet & heavy; & a real b!+ch to shovel.)
Spidey, I’m almost tempted to have some compassion for your suffering.
Almost
FCM, so FCD is going to join the Military-Industrial Complex? Hope it works out for him and you.
Coached ten 5-year old girls (as much as you can coach them-mostly pointing them in the right direction), but had fun, even with the temperature approaching the 30’s. Just finished a big bowl o’sallit and may snack on something later.
Bumba, nice to know others have a moment of brain-freeze. I came up to an intersection today, stopped, carefully checked traffic right, left and turning…and drove right through a red light…and it was across from the police station!! Fortunately I guess they weren’t looking out their windows, cause I got away with it, but I did call myself several obscene names.
Which ones did you call yourself…because I’d like to call you the rest of 'em.
So an old lady blacked out and hit the building. It wasn’t the same lady who rammed the beauty supply store last year, though. The Canes semi-fired Ron Francis, the General Manager tonight.

Happy Birthday BooFae!
Swampy paint and new furniture - holy toledo - you’ll be remodeling the kitchen next.
'Beamer survived his first day back to school. Fingers crossed we’ll get him to go back for another one.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 33 Amurrkin out and clear (well, dark to be exact) with a predicted high of 58 and NOS for the day. Today is finish movin’ furniture day. Rah. That should be enough to keep me occupied and outta trouble. Also beast loaf, collard greens, sweet N.O.T. and cornbread to sup upon. The painters will be here this mornin’ to finish up the master bedroom as in put one more coat of paint in the closet and reinstall the hardware. This means clothes can now go back where they live. YAY!
Sunny as a matter of fact the kitchen will be redone as well as the rest of da cave. Next week the hallway between the two guest rooms (what I called the study is now a bedroom plus the already guest room) will have wallpaper stripped and the hall painted, along with the livin’ room, dinin’ room, and kitchen. Oh and the bathrooms will be repainted. There’s wallpaper in all those rooms that’s comin’ down. The livin’ room, dinin’ room, and kitchen will have two shades of gray (was goin’ for fifty but that was too much), a lighter gray on the top walls and a darker gray below the chair rail in all three rooms. After that comes new floorin’ throughout da cave, new counter tops for the kitchen, and a redo of both bathrooms. The floorin’ and the bathroom make overs will happen over the course of a few months as will the new kitchen counter tops. Kinda sounds like I should have just torn da cave down and started from scratch does it not?
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day!
Happy Thursday Y’all!
Dang, **swampy **- have you been watching HGTV makeover shows?!?!?
The weather prognosticator on channel 7 threatened us this morning. She said there’s a chance of the evil white stuff early next week. One computer model has it staying south of us, but the other has us getting whomped. So there’s that.
Daughter saw her Dr yesterday, and she’ll now see him weekly till the baby arrives. He’s sticking to his prediction of April 12. That’s 5 weeks from today. Guess I should warn my boss.
Other than that, just another day in paradise. Happy Thursday!!
Happy Thorsday!
It’s cold outside, 28 degrees.
Supposed to warm up to 41 later today.
I’ve been up since 5, I don’t know why.
I’ll be feeling it later.
Not much happening today.
I need to break down the meat I bought yesterday, decide what I am going to use now, and freeze it the rest.
I think I am going to make chili.
Maybe.
I hope things continue to go well with Beamer, Sunny.
It’ll be worth it in the end Swampy.
Many stores have a drive thru anymore…now yours does, too. ![]()
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today. I shall go to the laundromat, the grocery sto, and the bottle shop.
Nah, she just took out the handrail on the steps. Last year’s kamikaze made the beauty supply store next door a drive through(yes this happens once a year on the shopping center.:dubious:)
Spidey Better you than me on the snow. After living in the sub tropics ones blood gets thin and one cannot tolerate cold.
Blurf
Irking or at least here. Not much happening today as I finished everything yesterday. But I will be here and collect a paycheck.
Since I missed most of yesterday as well -----------
Happy Birthday, BooFae!!!
Chilly, some flurries. Am blowing off work tomorrow to make a motorcycle club meeting; something I rarely get to do anymore. Plan on having much fun doing it.
Cool again (currently 42F) but sunny and nice. I have the Air Conditioning folks stopping by shortly to service my A/C for the summer. Hope the temperatures get back to the point I need it soon.
More soccer tonight (and at least until June), this time the 10U girls. The 10U boys Firday and abuot 5-6 hours with all three groups on Saturday. Don’t know if it’s going to get me in shape or kill me.
All y’all take care now.
It’s been a slow moving day.
I’ve gotten three loads of laundry washed and they are waiting to be dried.
I’m waiting a bit for Sah-son to get up and clean the dryer filter because every time I do it I don’t get it back in right.
Whoever designed a dryer to have the filter in the back wall must have had long arms. I can get it out okay but I never get it put back in right.
Lunch is going to be leftover chicken with peppers and onions.
Dinner, I don’t know, probably chili as I said earlier.
Since Sah-son doesn’t like chili I can make tacos for him.
Ripple liked both, but feeding him beans is never a good idea.
Adam won’t care, unless it’s chicken, he’s not interested.
So that’s dinner plans, two quick and easy one-pot meals.
Beamer did not go back to school today.
One baby step at a time I guess.
The weather here is windy and rainy and nasty. No snow in the forecast in valley, which is nice.
I finally gave up fooling around with the Suburban and had it towed to the shop yesterday. Hopefully we’ll find out soon what wrong with it. My guess is the starter, but we’ll see.
Ripple associates the doorbell or knocking with PIZZA!
So when the amazon package came he went running for the door.
Inside the box was a big bag of 13.5 pound bag of cat food, and a little hand towel holder for the kitchen.
We used to hang the hand towel over the handle on the oven door but somebody thinks it’s great fun to grab the towel and wave it in my face, knowing I’ll trade him a squirt of cheese in exchange for the towel.
It also made a bit of a mess hanging there as Sah-so drips water when he dries his hands. We have hard water so it leaves spots all over the door.
The towel hanger comes in two pieces, one of which is a sharp pokey piece which pierced a big hole into the side of the bag of cat food.
Sah-son opened the box, grabbed the bag and cat food went everywhere.
Ripple, who is always right there with is nose in everything, was thrilled.
We scooped it up the best we could but I’d bet Ripple ate a cup of it, or probably more.
I hope he doesn’t get diarhhea.
One the bright side, Sah-son pointed out that we don’t need to vacuum.
OK, I have one and three quarters rooms put back together. The 3/4 done room needs some finishin’ touches but that won’t happen yet as it shall become a room to put stuff from the dinin’ and livin’ rooms when they get their redo next week. Then comes the kitchen, hallway, and bath rooms. Floor redo TBD at this point but it WILL happen. I feel like I could go to sleep right now but I won’t cause I don’t want to be up at three a.m.
MOOOOOOM HGTV just wishes they could makeover a house as good as I can.
swampy, are you channeling your inner interior designer?
sari, your dryer sounds like the Maytags that my mom used to use.
One more day. This week has lasted two years minumum.
Red. I agree with that long ass week comment whole heartily and I still have tomorrow and half day on Sat.
Take out ribs tonight from The Bucktooth Rooster when hubs get back with them. Also a plate of chicken tenders for Lucky Louie.
