An MMP road trip

You said it. I’ve worked 39.25 hours in four days, and have a long Friday and a half day Saturday.

These days, when I get to work in the morning I feel like I used to at the end of a day.

When I left work today I went back to the Expresscare office to have my finger looked at again. The meds I took didn’t help. So this time the doctor held my hand down and poked the swelling with something sharp(I didn’t look) and SQUEEZED it. There was some blood but little else. I guess it was to relieve the pressure. The squawks I made were heard outside the door I’m sure. Now I have a new antibiotice to take and must soak the finger in epsom salts three times a day. I’ve never had this kind of “disorder” I guess you’d call it. It’s amazing what the human body can do to annoy one.
**
swampy**, why are you so busy with the house when you should be getting ready for St. Pat’s feast day?

Went to the laundromat, hit BottleMixx for a Brooklyn Black Ops

Gordie associates the doorbell with The Invisible Mole People. He also enjoys cat food.

{{{{Sunny and Beamer}}}}

Lucky Louie loves dry cat food. We try to always make it not available but sometimes it can’t be helped.

We have a stacking unit, and I can barely reach the damn filter. I have to have DH deal with it.

And no, feeding dogs beans is usually not a wise move, unless you’re trying to create a gas weapon. Only worse idea I can think of is giving my bird cat food. She loves it, her digestive tract does not. The results probably violate a few chemical weapons treaties.

THERE IS A GOD
AND HE LOVES ME!

I found out tonight our building-boss/site-lead is leaving in 4-6 weeks. What we get in his place may or may not be better but at least it will be different.
And unlike most Lutherans I do enjoy different most of the time.
All the chickens I sacrificed paid off.
Please don’t tell my bishop about those chickens.

Yay Ruble!!!

happy b-day to any I missed …tomorrow aunt goes back to the ssa office armed with a fist full o’ papers…hope they fix things cause I’m lighting a shuck for parts unknown if they don’t

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 30 Amurrkin out (BRR!) and clear with a predicted high of 64 and N.O.S. for the day. Tomorrow the high temps go back to the 70s. On Moanday the high temp is predicted for high 50s and then a warm up back to the 70s. Weather be weird. New furniture will be delivered around 1:45 this p.m. so say the furniture delivery PTB. This mornin’ I shall go over to the church house to get my new key to the church (<snerk> church key! <snerk>). There is a schedule for gettin’ new keys, one can go today from ten to noon, tomorrow from two to four p.m. or Sunday eight to ten a.m. or 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. Since I will do some errands this mornin’, I shall betake myself then cause, well, why not. OYKW is cravin’ catfish so we will go sup at the good local seafood/fish place tonight. He’s buyin’ so I’m eatin’.

CupCakes not to worry. Plans are underway to celebrate SPD. We shall feast upon corned beast ‘n cabbage, grilled chikin laigs as an alternative for those who don’t like corned beast ‘n cabbage, assorted root veggies, Irish soda bread, and bread puddin’ that contains a generous amount of Jameson, plus a non-alcoholic bread puddin’ and ice cream cause, well, ice cream! Plus there shall be green beer. Firday next week we shall cook the corned beast and prep stuff. Sattidy durin’ the day we shall prepare the feast and on Sattidy evenin’ which is SPD, we shall feast. There will also be a Solemn Choral Evensong on March 18th. Of course we will sing good ol’ 370 at the Holy Eucharist that Sunday mornin’. Heck, even the Luteruns will sing that at their service. We Whiskypalians reciprocate on Reformation Sunday by singin’ A Mighty Fortress Is Our God. Hope the finger is better soonest! ICK!

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, as I am to be about the public, I suppose I should purtify and don goin’ out in public clothin’.

Happy Firday Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work.

Ah - church key - there’s another thing I bet my baby engineer doesn’t know about!

It was significantly brighter as I drove in this morning - it’ll suck swampwater on Moanday when it’s all dark again. Dammit.

Just got notification that the shower gifts I ordered for my niece will be delivered to her tomorrow. Her shower is in 4 weeks. Whatevah! Gifts is gifts!

Anyway, TGIF! And Happy Firday, all!

Baby engineer never heard of church keys, nor did the born-in-the-80s engineer. Kids these days!

Are you talking about the bottle opener?

Blurf. Tis Firday. Our temps are in the very low 60’s. So unusual for us. I have to irk a half day tomorrow but I will probably take Moanday off again.

Lucky Louie did not come to irk today cause hubs is taking him to the vet. He’s been pawing at his ear so we think he may have an ear infection. I will miss him today as we are together 24/7.

38F on the way to 60F, so warmer than the last two days at least. But not much changes for the next week, looking at the forecast.

All’s well, the fifth of six straight days of soccer is on-tap, boys 10U this afternoon. Need to do a little mid-month shopping later this AM, but that’s the main activity.

Saw my Edward Jones consultant today, decided to change funds for my IRA that I have been taking money from, to (hopefully) extend it for a month or two, and to keep my Annuities until June/August of 2019 to allow them to mature further, but she says I’m in good shape financially.

ruble, congrats on the boss change. Hope the new one is different good or different neutral, you’ve had enough bad.

{{{{Sunny and Beamer}}}} Hang in there; step-by-step.

FCM, sorry about the dark driving, but I’m for DST, it gives me more time to practice with the soccer teams in the evenings.

swampy, hope the new decor meets with you and OYKW’s approval.

Now off to forage for breaklunch.

Of course! What else! I looked in wiki - apparently it’s a fairly recent term - like from the 50s!

**MetalMouse **- I’m OK with year-round DST, but this change is an evil tease! A couple of brighter mornings, only to be plunged into darkness again! WOE!!!

:frowning:

Wasting some time here because I don’t have all that much to do today. And I don’t want to do much today. So sue me! :stuck_out_tongue:

Shame on you, wasting all those chickens when [del]you[/del] we, we could sacrifice just one turkey.

As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly**(trap)**.

Every time I go all Baron Samedi on something I think of that moment. You don’t get great television like that these days.

Happy Firday!

It was nippy when I put the dog out this morning but it is warming up.
The sun comes and goes.
Everytime I think I should open the blinds it clouds up again.

DST doesn’t matter to me one way or the other.

I was so spoiled with Mackie. He didn’t get into things that weren’t his to get into. Although he couldn’t resist canned cat food.
He had his issues. He fought with us to get his harness on, when he was young it took three of us to get him dressed to go out. Trimming his toenails was a struggle, pilling him was challenge, and opening his mouth would have him screaming like he was being murdered.

I had a few clients in the past who had dogs and cats and could actually put the cat dishes on the floor. I don’t know how they did it and when I asked they didn’t understand the question. They thought it was normal to be able to put down a bowlful of cat food and the dogs would leave it alone.

Nothing special for today.

Florida just approved year round DST. The bill is awaiting the signature of Gov Scott.

Last load from yesterday is in the dryer.
I’m going to kill the dog though, I folded the laundry and had it in the bags ready to go upstairs and he just had to go drag out clean clothes and run around the house with them.
Between that, grabbing stuff off my desk and running with it, running off with a spray can cap that I dropped, knocking the cushions off the couch, and annoying the cat, he has had a very busy morning.
He has also developed the annoying habit of asking to go outside and then standing with his head out the door trying to decide if he really does want to go out. He learned it from the cat. Or maybe it’s in their genetic code.

We thought the cat was outside yesterday and wondering why he wasn’t coming when called (ha, like that ever happens anyway). Last night I heard a scratching sound, sounded like it was at the window. We thought it was the cat, only my windows are pretty high off the ground. So we checked the back door, ane the front door, we could hear him mewing. Found him shut in the linen closet.

My house is horrible for acoustics. I thought it was just me and my old ears, but no, even my son and the dog have trouble telling where a sound is coming from.
It would probably help if I put some pictures on the walls. I have been here for over three years and nothing. I had a wall hanging but the cat kept pulling it down.
I suppose one day I’ll put something up.

**sari **- 3 years already?? Wow, it doesn’t seem that long.

Home, fried. I asked my boss if there was a bonus for working a week with 5 Mondays. He said a lot of people felt that way this week. Must be something in the space-time continuum.

I’ve had a hankerin’ all day for Cracker Barrel’s fried haddock, so that’s where we’re going for supper. Tomorrow, the carpet in the baby’s room gets steam cleaned. Plus the usual weekend chores. And with luck, I’ll be able to make the baby’s curtains also.

But for now, I need to get **FCD **in gear so we can go eat. I’s hongree!!!
