An MMP road trip

I hate it when that happens!

What do you take for a haddock?

Aspartame?

Only came by to answer flytrap’s question. My work here is done.

Haddock was YUMMMMMM! Chillage shall ensue this evening. The weekend will be busy.

I just found the website of a friend of mine. It has numerous underwear ads. I’m not sure if they’re there on purpose, or if it’s Google or something that put them there. Knowing my friend, I’m not entirely sure. :stuck_out_tongue:

What is it that makes Peeps so good, at least to me? They are just marshmallows covered in colored sugar. Yet this time of year especially I love to nibble on them. Sometimes I start at the beak of the chicks, sometimes the tail.

Have you ever toasted a Peep over a fire? Done gently you get a crunchy caramelized outside and the traditional gooey marshmallow inside.

I’m nibbling as I type actually.

{{{Louie}}}

ruble, I just got a new boss in December and I’m still getting used to it.

baker, my SIL uses Christmas tree peeps for the marshmallows in cocoa around the winter holidays.

I lent a shoulder to one of the supes who is going through similar management changes in his department as I am. He’s a genuinely good guy and had reasonable issues. I also notified my supe about a manager who keeps addressing me as honey, sweetie, dear and today, babe in emails. I have never met this man face to face and seriously doubt that he addressed my predessor in those terms. In any case, there’s an electronic trail. Not too bright on his part.

I irked until 1:30 today, gorcery shopped and took Nelson to the dog park. We’re supposed to get rain this weekend so I’m trying to curb indoor zoomies. Sis and BIL should be here late tomorrow evening. Tonight, I’m chilling.

This part matches my late afternoon and evening. Mauser had a good time, the nice weather brought out a lot of folks and their dogs. I do hear that we will have rain on Sunday.

No, but they are pretty cool in a microwave.

On DST: cue my semi-annual “standard, daylight, split the difference, pick something else altogether, I really don’t care, just pick something and STICK WITH IT!!!” rant.

Worked, came home, went to the sled hockey tournament. Having a beer

Cue my hearty support of this rant and all other similar ones. What is the point of all this flipping and flopping? Piffle.

For a real protest against DST you must read this obituary from 2013. A funny obituary may sound strange, but it was done with love. I actually sent a note to my congresscritter, as per request in the column.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 36 Amurrkin out and clear (well, dark) with a predicted high of 74 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. Rain is supposed to come in tomorrow. We shall see. Today is de-junk the livin’ and dinin’ rooms and junk up guest bedrooms in preparation for round two of da cave makeover which will commence Moanday mornin’. Fortunately we can just move furniture out from against the wall and leave all that in the rooms. Drop cloths can cover all that while the ceilin’ is bein’ painted. Wallpaper will be taken down in both rooms and be replaced with paint. I am so over wallpaper! Thus will be our today and tomorrow. Rah.

Butters hope HRH Lucky Louie is OK today, poor fella!

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then, onward into the day!

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work for a short day. Then an oil change on the way home.

I vote for sticking with DST year round. I like late sunsets.

Night of weird dreams but of much sleep, so that’s good. I just breakfasted on cimmanin toast (say it aloud - you’ll get it) and I’ve got a load of sheets in the washer. I think I’ll have 4 more loads to wash before the day is done.

Once **FCD **is up and about, we’ll disassemble the futon and move the pieces to the attic - or at least to the garage. Then I’ll empty the baby’s room, take down the curtains, wash the window, wash the walls (since they’re not getting painted) and steam clean the carpet. There’s a ceiling fan in there and I’ll leave it on - with luck the carpet will dry overnight. Then tomorrow, I can wash down the baby furniture and we can assemble the crib.

While the carpet is drying, I’m hoping to get the curtains for the baby’s room done. They’re simple floor-length rod-pocket curtains and I’ll use the existing ones to get the right length. I’m hoping there’s enough fabric left over for a couple of tie-backs.

Whew - I’m exhausted already!!!

Happy Saturday!

Louie’s ear was not infected. I guess it was just itchy. He is fine.

Irking til 1300. I hate to take off on Moanday and leave my one clerk alone but I need my two in a row. I may just irk on Moanday and take Tuesday as Moanday’s are busier. It is spring break here next week and we may be busy. Need to hire two peeps. fricking HR dragging their feet. If I hirerd someone today it would still be a month due to background checks.

Have a Great Weekend all!

Up and caffeinating, breakfasted, puppy crate cleaned and towels/sheets in the dryer. I just talked to Sis. They got a late start and aren’t bringing Nelson’s sibs with them. :frowning: I’m gonna chill for a while as not to disturb the sleeping pupper on my lap.

Butters, glad that Louie is OK.

FCM and swampy, just reading about all that cleanin’ and movin’ made me want to sit down. Have fun.

Was supposed to be a full day of soccer with a multitude of kids, but the Rain Gods have decreed it’s going to be wet and the Parks department has closed the fields, so Free Day!!

Fourth load of laundry done and put away - the last load is in the dryer. I need to haul out the sewing machine and start measuring and pinning curtains. I’ll need the ironing board and iron, too - easier to sew hems that are pre-pressed.

The baby’s room carpet is shampooed and I’ve got the ceiling fan going, in the hope that it’ll be dry by tomorrow. I swear, this kid isn’t due for another month and already, I’m worn out! Rotten kid! :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy Saturday!

It’s N.O.S. and supposed to warm up to 45 today.
The same is predicted for tomorrow.
So I’m going to try to get some yard work done.

It’s been a slothful day, I haven’t done anything yet.
I woke up early, then went back to sleep, and slept late.

I have stuff to do so I guess I’d better be getting up and doing it.
