An MMP road trip

After a too early start (dogs needed out for mysterious reasons of their own), I slept in. I’m drinking coffee and thinking about the day. I have come to no meaningful conclusions as of yet.

As always, Moommm has tuckered me out. More coffee is required. :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy Sattiday all.

Laundry is all done. We went to Salsa’s for lunch - yum!

Just before we went, I decided to move the wire shelf in the hall closet - it needed to go a few inches to the left so I could get my sewing machine in and out more easily. It was high enough that I needed to get a step stool. And it was stuck enough that I needed to yank it. And it whacked me right above my glasses, giving me a nice little knot above my right eyebrow, and I must have hit my glasses, too, because the right nose piece is bent.

**FCD **is worried that people will think he hit me. For the record, he has never hit me, except that one time he was having a dream and he kicked me in his sleep - that doesn’t count. I’m just hoping it doesn’t turn all purple - that’s not my color!

On that note, time to get the curtains done. They won’t hem themselves!

Usually I just act mean on porpoise until it goes away; I can be a little shellfish like that. My doctor says I tend to carp about minor aches and pains but a lot of what she says strikes me as a little fishy even coming from a medical profishional.
Just chilling until we go visit some friends.

Got a letter yesterday from the Department of Health & Human Services telling me that “In a few days, you will receive a questionnaire in the mail…
They sent me a letter to tell me they’re going to send me a letter?

Sometimes I wonder, and sometimes I just don’t know.

Wifey has gone to her office to present an offer. We’re hoping the seller accepts it.
Anyway, I’m left to my own devices again.

I guess I should purtify and go to the store.

Other than that, I got nuttin.

Happy Sattiday y’all.

Breakin’ from a day of organizin’ and movin’ stuff from one place to another. I’d say we’ve made pretty good headway even though there’s still stuff to find a place for. Haven’t unloaded all the dishes from the china cabinet yet. Said dishes do have a place to go sit temporarily though so there’s that. Any consumption of vittles has been “when you’re hongry go forage.” When this is all done, I vow never to do another makeover of da cave ever! At least until next time.

Bumba Sometimes I wonder and sometimes I just don’t know either.

Enjoying more classic horror ---- Cannibal Girls and Blood Shack. Slowly I am working through my library deciding what to keep and what to pass on. Those two ---- keep. Event Horizon not so much.

(What can I say? I like bad but even I have my limits.)

So far today I have cleaned the upstairs bathroom, vacuumed the bedrooms, two load of laundry, fuds shopping, pet store for kitty litter. Went to the barn and rode Ariel, then home to lunch and clean my saddle and bridle. It’s now 3pm and I’m watching alpine skiing.

I hate DST.

I haven’t done anything worth mentioning today.
I was just getting ready to get up but the dog jumped on the love seat to nap, and the cat just jumped up to join him. They look so sweet together, well for a moment they did. Now they are fighting again.
Never ends.

I have finished the baby’s curtains and hung them on the window. Unfortunately, we don’t have any hooks for the tie-backs - that’s an errand for tomorrow.

Since I have the sewing machine out, I’m going to shorten all of our pillow cases. We have a king bed so the sheet sets have king pillow cases, but we use queen size pillows. It’s a quick and easy fix that I didn’t even think to do till last week. The will all be done today.

I’ve got a bit of a headache from my shelf incident, but other than that, it’s been a good day.

Ruble Event Horizon is truly horrible. Maybe just burn that one.

I wouldn’t worry about curtains or tie backs, Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) assures me that babies dpn’t do anything except eat, poop, pee and cry for quite some time.
Best $400 I ever spent.

Curtains will help darken the room so the baby will SLEEP!!! And I’m making the room pretty for the baby’s parents. :stuck_out_tongue:

Tahred.

Higgs is snoring next to me. She’s got the right idea.

Just looked at my clock on the wall and it’s already moved an hour ahead. Yeah technology!

But whatever time it is, it is time for dinner.

Did you ever watch Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death?

I came home this evening and somehow my dog, short legged little bastard, had knocked off from the table a box of some small apple pastries I bought for myself. He’s not getting his regular supper tonight, and I hate to think about what walking him tomorrow morning will be like.

Just got back from watching a 4 hour sled hockey tournament(with a beer break in between). Now I’m home watching Paralympic sled hockey.

Sled hockey for the win.

Blurf

Watching Passengers. Not my preferred genre but any port in a storm. Speaking of storms it’s raining with a distant rumble of thunder. Hope it lasts all night.

I hope he makes it until morning. Mine always decide that at 2 am their debt to the pastry god must be paid NOW.

Home (kinda, at scuzins for the night) from one of the toughest, & far & away the most beautiful race course I have ever been on, & w/ hundreds of races is a few different sports & even more disciplines, that’s saying something! Of course, almost 4’ of snow in the past 4 days (!) can do a lot to make just about anything look pretty.
