My oldest brother’s BBQ chicken recipe was “Three Beer Chicken” - toss the chicken on the grill, have three beers, chicken’s done.
I heard that PBS cancelled its jazz and classical music programming. Too much sax and violins.

It was clearly (to me) a cheap badly thought out followup to the not very bad at all vampire one. It had its moments (especially how they worked a very young Teddy Roosevelt into it) so I don’t feel I want my part of my life returned to me. But it wasn’t as good as the other.
With the current crop of presidential hopefuls from both sides, I have the feeling that “zombie” may be the more common disease anyway. 
I just this minute figured out oso = bear. I have no excuse. There’s a Spanish-English dictionary on the shelf behind me.

MetalMouse I hear ya on this one. I keep getting notices. I’m sure I have about 4 to get done this month too. The one I got this morning made me laugh. It’s about how we can avoid getting phished and other security tips. pause for effect I work at a security software company. If the employees don’t already know everything in that class, we have a problem.
Today I worked from home. Yay! The kids figured out how to take off the pool cover on their own. Another plus. Racking them up.
Other than that I have made the executive decision to take the 1400+ unread emails in my inbox and “file” them. I get 200 or so a day and sometimes I just have to sweep the box clean and start over.

So the traffic jams started just after my exits, coming and going to work. I got my Canes season tickets in the mail. I got a puck and a team signed poster from the NC State hockey team(a thank you gift for donationg to their locker room GoFundMe drive). All in all a great day.
In N.C., they wouldn’t send us home from our unairconditioned schools until it hit 100.

We lost power for about 2 hours this evening
This is the difference between Baltimore and Hagerstown.
In Baltimore when the power goes out you call BG&E, get a recording telling you they are aware the power is out, they are working on it, and when they expect to have it restored.
In Hagerstown you get a busy signal.
It would be nice to know if they know but I figured the busy signal meant everybody in town was calling.
Entergy, formerly Arkansas Power and Light, has a web site where one may log on and see outages on a map.
Good Lord, Arkansas has something better than Maryland.

One thing I learned from filling out the various forms from my employer - I can be fired if I engage in human trafficking. Good to know… 
There was also some stuff about ethics. And other crap I can’t remember.
One of the most annoying things - even if you picked “No” to a question like “Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If yes - explain below.” you’d still have to go below and insert N/A in all the blanks. How hard would it be to add a little code that automatically inserts N/A for every no?
No biggie - I’m done for now. I’m just hoping they’ll let **FCD **pick up my offer package - otherwise, I won’t be able to get it till tomorrow. I just want this done!
Trash and recycling will be disposed today - I was going to put it off till tomorrow, but we’re promised rain tomorrow. So today it is. The center opens at 9:30 - I’ll try to get there about that time. Meanwhile, I’ve got the dishwasher running, so between that and making FCD’s lunch, I’ve had a productive morning. Go me! 
Not bad for waking at freekin’ 2AM again for no reason!! Stoopit internal clock.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, purtified, and caffeinated so no YAWN. ‘Tis 74 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 92 for the day and sunny. Hopefully the humidity will be lower as it has been the past few days. We’re goin’ to the Cookie Shoppe for brekkie as soon as OYKW is ready to go which will be in a couple minutes. YAY! I’s hongry. Then, I shall head down to the south forty to complete the rest of the monitorin’ reports. I shall be done with that for the next six months.
OK, I hear rumblin’s from the bedroom so I reckon we’re about to head out.
