Dear OKYW, you should be like a cow in the morning; remember to wear your bell when you walk around.
Ruble, can you mail some of your extras to Pirate-Kansas (Arrrrrgh). Be sure to mark the package, “Confidential, only to be opened by addressee!”

Dude, you are a Dead Man.

You do realize that, by law, you must clap four times before the last word!
Thank you for this webbed one. I literally laughed out loud.
Training is complete thank goodness. I have wanted to be home but now that it is time to go home I am a little sad :dubious: I have not read cause this irk stuff is cutting into my mumping
I know Baker needs a big ole Texas size hug.
I was almost late for class this morning as I overslept (phone was dead) and made it from bed to lobby for ride in ten minutes flat. I should be sleeping now as I have a shuttle picking me up outside  the gate at 0340. It’s about a quarter mile away and me being frugal opted to use a shuttle even though rental cars were authorized. Never again. I have a Marine Corps program manager that has insisted she will drive me i.e. “hell no you will not walk”. Bless her. It’s a military base and very safe but still.
I need to sign off on my payroll but can’t do that before midnight and must have it done by noon. The dilemma is it’s only 9ish and I am askeered to go to sleep for fear I will oversleep. I will be dragging ass tomorrow. I have two phones set with multiple alarms and may even ask the desk for a wake up call. There is a difference of one hour in my time zone. But it is a difference. Ya’ll hear me. I am all fubared on the time thing.
I was coerced, forced and intimidated to go out with a group for dinner and I am so glad I went. We had much fun and got a little networking in there so win win. OK fellow Mumpers I would appreciate appendages crossed for safe travels back home.
In the meantime I have not read nor retained so I would like to send Rosie’s sig to all…
So I got home late, I had to wait for my cashier’s ride to come in(I ain’t leaving a 16yr old kid alone in da Hood.) Having tacos and beer. Life is good.
Are you saying he has a fever?:dubious:
As long as you’re not setting off Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulators, more is always better.
Safe travels ,Butters!
Cats, I do like the Eyebrows of Doom.

Flight to La-La was very delayed. Then there was rental car “issues” ended up getting to the hotel at 1 am this morning. Staggered through some morning meetings, then back to the hotel for a nap.
Then my dad called. My mom has intestinal bleeding and has been hospitalized. My husband and sister are there and I head home tomorrow afternoon anyway. My mom didn’t want me to come back sooner. Stoopid trip. I knew this trip was a bad idea. So i’ll see what news the morning brings. I may bug out no matter what she says OR stick to the plan and fly home in the afternoon.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis <snerk> 69! <snerk> Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 88 for the day and sunny. OYKW did not wake me up. Matter of fact, I got up a little before he did and made coffee so he could have some first thing. I’m so nice dammit!
Butters I assume you are on your way by now. Have a safe trip!
Plans for the day include mowage. That’s pretty much it except that I shall make foies de poulet frit for dindin by request.
OK, I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed.
Happy Firday Y’all!
ETA {{{sunny}}} hope things are ok with your mom soonest.
I need a computer geek, STAT! I’m on the old laptop that I took on the cruise, since my desktop machine has been a butt all morning. It will NOT shut down unless I do a hard shutdown. I was in the middle of posting when I got “Firefox (Not Responding)” and it would never respond again. I’ve tried all my tricks, but it just gets slower and slower. I’ve got a BIL who’s a computer guy, but he lives 90 minutes away and while he’s good with the machines, he’s not my favorite person to hang with. I may have to bite the bullet and take it to someone. Sadly, my local guy/former coworker moved to FL, dammit.
That’s my live toad moment - things can only get better, right?
Happy Firday…
Windows or Mac?
Safe travel, butters. DFW Airport, for all it’s size, is not all that hard to get around in, so hopefully the flight will be on-time and deliver you home safely.
Damn, sunny, that’s a hard trip. Hope Mom is OK. I was in Greece years ago (1990’s) for business when I got a call from my brother that they had to put my dad in the nursing home as he was no longer able to take care of himself in the assisted living center. So I know how much you’d like to be there, even if good people are in place taking care of the decisions.
Otherwise, it’s Firday, to be followed by soccer-refereeing day and Dining-Out day, better known as the weekend.
Up and caffeinated. I’m gonna watch practice before work.

Starting in safe mode sometimes gets it straightened out.
Running a virus checker in safe mode finds some viruses that hide in normal mode.
Happy Firday!
safe trip Butters

**flytrap **- I’ll give that a shot - what have I got to lose? Stoopit computer…
**rosie **- it’s a PC. I hated MACs the one and only time I had to use one.
I could fix that ---- real easy.
(We sometimes do dummy versions with a tennis ball or wiffle <sic?> ball covered in electrical tape and say 200 or so grains of black powder inside. Not a bad effect for some battle scenarios. We’ve done a few live versions but mostly for filming and our own basic curiosity – I MEAN RESEARCH. Yeah – that’s right. Research. )
At the risk of jinxing things, my PC is back up and running…
I’ve got a load of whites in the dryer and I’m having a sammich for lunch. When I’m done eating, I need to run to Penney’s to pick up a couple of sweaters I ordered. Then home to fold the whites.
How can my impending job compare with this excitement???
So much to do today now that the morning irk shift is over.
Lots of laundry since the dog has thrown up a few times.
Proof read Sah-son’s paper - is that cheating? One friend told me it’s cheating it I proof read his papers before he hits submit. Another friend says of course it isn’t and when she was in college she and her friends always proof read each others papers.
The back postage stamp needs mowing, and I need to vacuum and run the dishwasher.
Sari, my mom always proof-read my papers and even checked my math problems (never corrected them, just told me I needed to redo them), and I turned out OK…well, mostly OK.
Howdy Y’all! Today I have accomplished mowage, purtification, a trip to the sto’ and N.O.L. with OYKW. Impressive ain’t it! Now I can haz slack time for a little while. Nappage may ensue.
Sari of course there is nothin’ wrong with havin’ someone proof read a paper. Happened all the time in high skool and kollege.
Can’t see how having someone proof-read a paper is cheating. If you were doing the writing for him, then that would be cheating.
Short irk day today, but I have a lot of homework.
Dang, swampy, you sure can make bar food sound fancy when you say it in French.
metal mouse, the DFW airport may be laid out so you don’t get lost, but when your connecting flight is across the place, fifteen minutes isn’t enough time to get there without benefit of a tram.

TGIF. It looks like I’ll be here all day. I’m thinking about going to Possum Holler or Bear Waller tomorrow for a hike. Now that it’s not so stinking hot, it should be enjoyable.
