Our supper will be chickie strips, whomp biscuits, and carrots. And maybe some peaches or pears.
**FCD **is home and napping. He’s tahred, poor baby. The rain continues and the temp has dropped, so I closed up the house.
And so it goes…

my dindin will be a frozen dinner nuked to somewhere just shy of perfection*
I actually had my window open for a while today. I practiced my alto clarinet today - my poor ordinary clarinet got a bent key somehow.
. At least it didn’t happen while I was playing in the show with my theatre group.
Dindin has been et. ‘Tis cloudy out but no rain right now. The next three days promise rain. OYKW is contemplatin’ a soak in the tub. Da bear is in chill mode. All is well.
Worked, walked gordie. It started raining, so Princess Pretty Paws set a new personal record for making it to the apartment.
My boss went home early, she has the flu.:smack: Anncho Orange chicken is marinating in the fridge.
bummer about the clarinet, Midget. Is it an easy fix?
Cute bunnies, Moooommmm!. One time the late Lucretia D. Hellcatt did get outside, and I didn’t know. I was awakened at 0dark30 by Maggie Wonderbeagle making an unearthly howl, and I saw a non-human shape at the window. If the cat hadn’t meowed, then next days headline would have been, “House cat dies in hail of gunfire, owner charged.”
**doggio, **I’m hoping it can be easily fixed. Maybe I can take it into the store the next time I’m in the area.
Supper at CasaRed was lemon ginger chicken stir fried with spring onions, asparagus and red bell peppers. Now it’s time to kick back in the studio.
I did a good deed. Go Me! JDD called me from the grocery sto’. He was halfway through his shoppin’ and realized he didn’t have his wallet and Partner was still at irk. He asked me if I would go to his place and get his wallet and bring it to him while he finished shoppin’. We all have keys to each other’s place for “emergencies.” I guess this counted as an “emergency.”
A little Tuesday evenin’ adventure.
There’s a tstorm brewin’. Perfect time to go snuggle on the bed and watch teevee.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
My good deed was giving someone a jump start on Sunday.
I’m hoping to hear less cussing and swearing from the sewing room now as DH bought a new serger to replace one that was near death and not repairable.
I think I hear my bed calling. MWAH!
Mine is, too.
You see the Deadly Price you morning people pay.
:dubious:
I’m thinking about what to drink for lunch.
And they are virtually calorie free ![]()
Naaaah. I’ve been a zombie lots of times and even driven to foreign countries (Canada and New Jersey) to be a zombie. THAT is fun; lots of fun.
Speaking of which, after only getting like 5 hours total sleep I had a full day of adulthood. And I got home from irk just in time to see one of my few TV shows. I am a tired pup but its an OK kinda tired.
Maybe it was fate telling you two to meet us at Knoebels on the 25th/26th? I know people there and they know me ------ I could arrange something.
Survived the big boss presentation. Reward = more irk!!!
My son left his backpack and lunchbox at his grandmother’s. She watches him after school. We figured it out around 8:30. I said, “I guess you’re going to use my lunch box tomorrow.” He said, “But, Mom, how am I going to eat lunch?”!:smack:
Guess he’ll have to eat around the mom cooties.
all, not necessarily a tease. My roommate and I were talking over drinks Sunday night, as one does on a Sunday night, and she said something like “Have you ever heard of the Straight Dope Message Boards?”
Well, my reaction was an obvious “only most of high school, college, then sometimes later”.
swampbear, how YOU doing indeed. I have been slacking on my duties. I got distracted by ACSSMG (A certain slightly shorter medium-sized guy).
Anyway, thanks for the well wishes. I work nights these days (…?) and had some free time to poke around.
Did I mention my spousal unit is having knee surgery on the 21st? That kinda limits our activities for a few weeks. Alas.
I’m trapped in a no-more-than-6-consecutive-hours-of-sleep cycle. I read till about 10 when **FCD **came to bed and the eye-bones popped open at 4 for no apparent reason except to piss me off! OK, I did snooze a little eventually because the alarm startled me at 5:15, but still, ugh!
We’re promised a mild and mostly overcast day. I was planning to launder the bed linens and hang everything out, but what’s the point if there’s no sun? So the fallback plan is to run the mattress pad thru the dryer so I can remake the bed, and the rest of the stuff will wait for sunnier days. I was going to change from the comforter to the bedspread anyway, and I have clean sheets, so I guess I can kinda proceed with my plan.
And I may venture forth to WalMart. We do need a few things and it shouldn’t be overrun with Teh Stoopit on a Wednesday morning. I may swing by Lowe’s also. I’m going to replace my carpet cleaner thingie. It’s a combo steam cleaner/wet-n-dty-vac/hard floor/upholstery cleaner in canister form and I find I don’t like it as much as my old upright carpet cleaner. So I plan to get a new upright and hope I can sell the canister. Yep, another exciting day in retirementdom. Envy me!!
And so it begins. Happy US Tax Day!!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 68 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 79 with rain/tstorms/apocalypse today and tomorrow. Had a few big tboomers last night.
donkeybear a nice way to be occupied.
sunny yay for survivin’ big boss presentation but boo for more irk.
Ok that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas and alack, purtification for irk must commence. At least I don’t have to drive anywhere on what’s supposed to be a stormy day.
Happy Hump Day/Amurrkin Tax Day Y’all!
Morning all!
Just got back from dropping the car off at the garage, for the MOT (annual roadworthy test). I hate the waiting to find out what’s wrong this year; the car’s 19, so it’s got to be getting close to the point where they go “Not worth fixing”… Hopefully not this time!
At least we have nice sun, and I can do stuff at home while I wait, though it’s hard to do stuff with crossed fingers (especially as I chopped the tip off one finger on Sunday).
Anyeway, I’d better go hang the washing out.
