Morning, I’m up and caffeinated. I’m closing tonight. It’s cold ,wet and rainy, but at least the pollen’s gone.
Happy Hump Day!
It’s a sunny 42 degrees outside, supposed to get up to 68.
I have to go out today, errands to run. I can’t put them off any longer.
Other than that, SSDD,
Feel free to poke around with us any day. As I remember you often added to the fun and that is always a good way to spend free time.
Back from the wilds of WalMart, tho it was mostly tame. I far exceeded my list of 4 items, but on the plus side, we’ll have nice salads for supper!
It’s clouded over and I don’t know if my mattress pads will dry or not. I suppose I can always chuck them in the dryer if necessary. So we shall see.
I need to vacuum out the car. **FCD **needed the truck today, so I suppose I’ll get all domestical and to something productive. blech.
Dreary and gray out but no rain yet. Like it matters cause well, I’m at irk.
Off to work.
And the car has been vacuumed. Next up, emptying the dishwasher… eventually.
It’s a cat in the hat day here. But. There’s always bowling tonight.
I can handle cat in the hat day. The one I hated was hop on pop.
Theodore Geisel could be a mean son of a bitch. :dubious:
So far the day has been totally not as planned but fortunately the alternate plans worked as well if not better than the original plans.
I wanted to leave early to get my meds but I called in another script so I can get them both this afternoon. I don’t have to go to the PO because I managed to catch the mail lady, which is good because she needed to talk to me.
I can’t decide when I go out for meds, Sonic or Roy Rogers?
I know he would like Taco Hell but I wouldn’t.
I really want a nap but I have to leave soon.
Spent a lot of the day at the hospital. I wasn’t having a medical problem - they just needed to do some tests, and I spent a lot of time waiting around. Luckily I’d brought a book. Otherwise I might’ve been reduced to drawing a stupid face on a surgical mask and wearing it to combat boredom, but maybe that would’ve landed me in another area of the hospital…
I suppose I should get back to this music arrangement I’m working on.
The dishwasher is emptied. The mattress pads are back inside - the electric one is now stored till next winter, and the other will go on the bed after my sweetie helps me flip the mattress. Then I can make the bed.
I’ve also packaged my wedding outfit for return/replacement. I’m hoping I got one that was assembled incorrectly, because if it’s designed this way, I will be mightily pissed. When you have a layered garment and the top layer is lace, you don’t sew the two pieces together so that the seams and the raw side of the hem are visible thru the lace. It looks awful!! And if it turns out this was made this way deliberately, I’ve still got time to find something else to wear.
I wish my niece would just elope. I can’t believe her parents are spending as much as they are on this wedding. eeesh!
Howdy from da cave! Another day survived. Enchilada casserole (which I made last night) is settin’ out to come to room temp and will soon go into the oven. Mexican corn and refried beans shall be the sides. Fart fest to follow.
MOOOOOOM wherever did poor Taz sleep all day! Also, if this is a Summer weddin’, well then, the gold lamé stretch capris, tube top, and matchin’ thong sandals should work well.
Emily, I think tablets were made for situations like yours today. Mine goes with me whenever I have to do anything medical, including when I was in the hospital for surgery. They’re your book/game/theater/music player all in one.
I don’t have a tablet, but I would like to get one sometime. Maybe I could even put some free or inexpensive music software on it.
Car doctor says it’ll be £200 to get the car legal for the next year. About what I expected, I guess… They couldn’t do the work then though (the place is always busy), so it goes back in on Monday.
Off tomorrow as well, I should try catch up with the gardenin’ at the allotment; the grass needs cutting, and the weeds are growing like crazy in the unseasonal sun we’re having. It’s looking like it might be a really good year for butterflies too- there’s way more than normal of them out for the time of year. Good.
**swampy **- you, my dear, are a fount of bad fashion ideas!
As for Taz, he slept on an afghan in the living room. He also napped on my arm at one point. I’m pretty sure he didn’t suffer much.
My sweetie is home and he doesn’t want dinner since he had a big lunch, so I need to feed myself. What to have???
Food.
Howdy Y’all. Still at irk for another 45 minutes. Today has been kind of quiet. We had a little office party for my teen aged clerk who just had her 18th birthday today.
Lucky Louie is with me today, as he is most days, but poor fellow has not acted himself today. If he’s still acting puny in the morning i will take him to the vet. I don’t know of anything that could be wrong but he’s just not his usual happy self.
maybe he just didn’t sleep good or something. i spoke with hubby and ordered a baked chicken for supper as it’s Louie’s favorite.
OK time to start shutting down this joint and head home.
Catch all y’all later!
