Also Tsubaki, most of my female friends that married Japanese men, did so outside of Japan. Some lived in Japan for a while with their spouses, but none wanted to settle in Japan. One of the factors was that they thought their spouses unconciously conformed to some of the Japanese male stereotypes when in Japan, and that they loved the way their spouses acted outside of Japan but much less so inside of Japan. Sorry for the delay in replying, I’ve been busy the last few days.

I’m talking about both culture AND language classes. Both in Australia AND Japan.

Most of the women I know married Japanese guys who have lived overseas for some period of time. The ones who didn’t knew EXACTLY what they were walking into (ie. a life of putting the family first, putting up with hubby’s unbelievable working hours, etc).

You have to remember that by living in Japan, most of the women in WW/AM relationships that I know are LIVING in Japan, and have made a conscious choice to do so. So their men can’t have changed for the bad that much, right?

My girlfriend is Asian, Korean to be specific. In that past she has only dated white guys, but I don’t consider her a good example because hers family is white (she is adopted). On my part I’ve always been more attracted to Asian girls then white girls. I’m not really sure why I am. shrug I’ve never really experienced any disapproval due to our races, my religion yes, but not our races.

My daughter, the FemBot, is a South Korean adoptee. Both parents white. Only be she’s had is white. They are likely to wed. - shrug - fine by me. Could give a damn what shade he is. Just as long as he loves her.

Even though Asian male to white female is not as common once white girls have dated Asian men a lot of them seem to like them. Asian men tend to have a stronger sense of sexuality than a lot of white guys and many women like that. I have heard that Asian men are “stronger” emotionally than a lot of white guys.
