Avatar criticism thread

Can you see me now?

I’ve been seeing your avatar just fine all along (Firefox).

Yep. But your avatar is a bit blurry. This one’s a little clearer, if you like it.

 well that’s the thing, with the best will in the world I don’t and I try not to, not beyond the current response in a specific thread anyway.
I can’t bring to mind any views you hold, past posts you’ve made or (unless it is immediately clear from you name) whether you are male, female, black, white, straight or gay.

Holy comets, that almost looks like a Space Whale!

All of our images are a bit blurry, are there any 50x50 that are sharp?

Mine’s sharp enough. 'Cause I look good;)!

Not at all. You’re a sound, level-headed man. Good on you.

If we do get 100x100, I would hope that your pic will be your current pic repeated 4 times.

Thank you both. Especially running coach, who went to the trouble of emailing me a properly-sized image. Very grateful.

Part of the problem is that I’m trying to do all this on my Kindle, as we suffered a break in a few months ago, and the thief got off with our computer. Ignored my wife’s expensive camera, my gold coin, and her real jewelry, but stole costume pearls, a few euro notes, a 30 y.o. kid’s bike, and a seven y.o. laptops with a cracked screen. Not a criminal mastermind, apparently.

Anyway, trying to do this on a Kindle is apparently beyond my capabilities. I chose my username back when people were still calling the internet “the information superhighway”, and, given my noncomprehension of computer technology, I figured that on that superhighway, I was the one in the buggy with the Caution: Slow Moving Vehicle sign.

So, while I’m too clueless to upload a picture of a Slow Moving Vehicle sign, I can at least recognize irony.

That is a current pic.( kinda 1 year or so old) Taken in a McDonald’s drive through. By the lil’wrekker. I played with it on my phone. Andy Warhol didn’t really do it. (;)) I probably am gonna change it anyway. I am looking around for something.

Are those horns?

Noah Smith on twitter:
One bad thing about Twitter is that because people have fixed avatars, it’s very easy to misconstrue people’s tone by looking at their avatar. For example, because my avatar is William Butler Yeats looking sour-faced, everything I tweet seems a little sour and pouty.
He works through other pictorial examples. https://twitter.com/Noahpinion/status/1036686747403350016
