Sunny, I had to look up Transcranial Magnetic Pulse because it sounded so much like a ‘psuedo-science’ device, but damn if it isn’t a good piece of science and FDA -approved. Hope it helps with the Migranes.

Sari, I’ve never been involved with drugs or had any family member (that I know of) with a problem. But doing that to a kid…starting off life having to detox…shakes head You’re a stronger person than I am.

Hair cut, the shop had a $5.99 special so I gave the lady barber $10 and told her to keep it…big spender, me…

Got to get the vacuum clearer into motion here soon; don’t know why I am so loathe to simply plug it in and push it around; easiest cleaning job in the house.

Housework. The OW is off at a meeting so I treated myself to a Don’s Under The Bridge breakfast and have been doing laundry and things since. Nice calm relaxing Saturday.

Happy Saturday!

I’m at a day-long retreat of sorts with maybe 50 of my closest friends. It’s been a long day and we’re still on district reports. Lord help me.

Tree guy is coming tomorrow. We need a quote on having the remainder of a stump ground down a bit more, plus we’ve got a dead tree with branches overhanging the road - Probably a good idea to have them taken down. He’s due right after lunch. Huzzah!!

**FCD **doesn’t want to eat supper and I’m not going to cook a whole meal for me. There are some leftovers in the fridge - do I want soup again or ham-n-cabbage? Decisions, decisions.

Dindin has been ingested. Go Us! Mayfield TurtleTracks ice cream for later if desired. Oh, like who am I kiddin’! Desire for ice cream is a sure thing.

I talked with JDD today. His brother has, finally, agreed that he can no longer take care of himself and also admitted that sorry ass thing he lives with cannot be a care giver. Thus, he is stayin’ the next days at the hospice house (he’s been on home hospice) and then will transfer to a nursin’ home. Sad though that sounds, it’s a good decision as his doctor has had to stop chemo treatments on his liver for now. That’s why he got put on temporary home hospice. There is a possibility he could begin treatments again down the road but he needs to be where his needs are bein’ met. If sorry ass thing he lives(ed) with had any sense (he doesn’t) he’d pack up and leave as he has no ownership of the house and no doubt wouldn’t do stuff like pay the utilities, cause he really is a sorry ass. I have a feelin’ I am goin’ to witness some serious, soap operas got nuttin’ on it drama over the next few weeks.

I should stock up on popcorn.

I’d go for the cabbage. Then you can decide whether or not to pass gas in his general direction!

Smokey keeps calling me from the bedroom. I believe I am being summoned for cuddle time. G’night.

I went with the cabbage and ham because I’ve had the soup 3 or 4 times this week already. Full happy tummy now. Ice cream later.

Do share Swampy

I could use some good drama coming from an outside source.

MetalMouse - you don’t know how hard I bite my tongue sometimes. I really try not to be judgmental, crap happens to the best of us and I know I have been very lucky with Sah-son. But sometimes I watch what people do and it’s hard. This girl got pregnant on purpose, knowing she was addicted to drugs.
I have a very hard time with that.

sari all I know is that plans are underway to get sorry ass thing he live(s)(ed) evicted once brother is in the nursin’ home. Should be fun.

It occured to me at some point this afternoon that Lent starts on Wednesday. My brain had decided for some reason that Lent started on February 17th. Thus, I must be at the church house by around four on Tuesday (Shrove Tuesday) to do bacon, snausage, and pancakes. This is a fund raisin’ event for our Deacon’s discretionary fund and usually raises a few thousand dollars. There’s food and a silent auction. Always a fun time.

Shortly we shall retire to the boudoir to watch teevee until sleepy time.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Day winding down - hope I sleep well tonight. MWAH!

This should be interesting…
I got the normal call from my 83 year old mother. Once again the TV is screwed up. Normally, thanks to the idiots at Verizon, she has managed to get herself, somehow, to a channel range that is beyond what she gets, and she is lost in the forest. This time, we have a new twist. It is complaining about “No Signal!”. My first guess is she changed inputs somehow. I’ll trundle up there and recombobulate it in the morning. Doing tech support over the phone for someone who is realclose to ‘making new friends every day’ just does not work.

I’m beginning to think the FiOS box needs to go away, and one of the extra TiVO boxes needs to go in–at least then, if the station is locked out, there is no sign of it.

Cablecard hell, here I come!

Made it home, gave Gordie an extra cookie, and a belly skritch. He says “Arooroorro. Arf! ArF” about the birthday wishes.

swampy, I look forward to The Tale Of The Eviction Of The Useless Git.

{{{{gotti and DH}}}} Good luck!

Pancake suppers Tuesday are an old Lutheran tradition with Pastor usually being the cook. Which also assures a good quantity of ashes for Wednesday.

Happy Sunday!

Up too early, can’t get back to sleep, I’m staying up.

It’s a clear 26 degrees outside, supposed to get up to 47. Then we get snow mixed with rain for two days, then the daytime temps dip below freezing again.

Even tho my mom claims not to be a big TV watcher, she managed to master DirecTV and now FIOS without too much trouble. She even knows how to program it to record, then she deletes the shows after she watches them. And when I was visiting her a few weeks back, I taught her how to use On Demand, and most importantly, how to tell which movies are free.

One might think “What’s the big deal?” but one would have to know my mother to know how remarkable it is that she mastered these skills. I’m pretty sure she’s convinced herself that she’s technologically inept (which is true in many cases) and therefore she’s timid about trying to figure things out on her own. Except she did just that last week on her computer. She didn’t want to bother me with a question about how to do something, and she figured it out by herself! On the other hand, she’s not so close to “making new friends” - that’s got to be a special kind of challenge.

Good morning, all! Up early with the dog - duh - because I insisted my sweetie sleep in. And because if I sleep in, I won’t be ready for bed early enough and tomorrow it’ll be a real struggle to get up for work. Moanday is tough enough as it is… Higgs and I have both breakfasted (on separate things, TYVM) and I’m caffeinating while she does something in the dark of the next room.

Tree guy is coming around lunch time to discuss a stump that needs to be ground and some big limbs that need to come down. I get to do the honors - I’m pretty sure **FCD **won’t be up to bundling up and walking the yard. We’re doing this tree-related stuff in conjunction with having a couple of parking pads installed, a garden wall removed and that section of hill regraded and seeded, and a load of topsoil brought in, spread, and seeded in the back. Once all of that’s done, we’re getting one of those metal carports installed for the truck. We talked to an Amish guy about building a pole barn type carport, but it would cost over $6K - something like triple the cost of the metal one.

May as well get all this stuff done while we’re still working. Kinda wish we’d done some of it years ago.

Anyway, Happy Sunday!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work. Gonna get together with friends to watch the Super Bowl after work. #KeepPounding

Do you understand football, puckbreath?

I was born in Milwaukee. :stuck_out_tongue:

That means you understand beer, and maybe baseball
