Back to "normality" in the MMP?

I found one concert in the area, on May5, which may be too close to the deadline and the tickets are $39 a piece, only 32 left.
However, there are a few jazz clubs in the area.
He needs to send the professor an email.

Shopping is (mostly) done, 5 new Marco (Polo) shirts obtained from Kohl’s with minimum fuss, picture frames and bacon bought from Wal-Mart, and laundry load completed and in the dryer. For me, an ambitious morning. Eating a Big Bowl O’Sallit for the noontime meal and a Cheeseburger is just about defrosted for the evening. More picture sorting in the afternoon.

Oh, and I agreed to coach at least two youth soccer teams, (12U Boys and 10U Boys) for the spring, starting next week and running through May. Get me out of the house and maybe a little exercise.

FCM, Great on the refund, but I’d bet once the coronavirus is past, cruise lines will be offering some great deals to get people back.

Sari, you can’t be the only one upset with the new site; maybe there will be enough complaints that the powers-that-be will go back to the old for for a time and try to weed out the bugs (forlorn hope, I know).

Everyone take care now.

**MetalMouse **- we’re still booked for our September New England/Canada cruise. **FCD **should be up for it by then. But I’ll be on the lookout for deals for next year. I still want to go back to Bermuda!

Lunch time! Shirts are in the dryer, assorted rags in the washer. When Roxy wakes and has lunch, we’ll run to Food Lion for a few things. Then home to make beef stew for supper. How exciting is that!!!

I must be a day behind everybody because last night I couldn’t sleep. Then I woke up too early.

Speaking of too early, I got a call yesterday from the oncologist’s office reminding me of my appointment “tomorrow morning.” Huh. I could have sworn the appointment was Friday, but since I messed up last week, I decided I must be wrong. Luckily I called just before walking the 1.5 miles there because the appointment really isn’t until tomorrow. Now I’m all dressed up with no place to go. Except the grocery store. And the gym.

WetOne, I hate prednisone for that very reason. Even if I take it in the AM, I still can’t sleep at night. I lie there listening to my heart pound (another side effect). Combine it with Dr. Pepper, and you must have been juggling while tap dancing.

Speaking of docs (I’m all about segues today.), has anyone heard from gotti? Hope all went well there.

MetalMouse, coaching soccer sounds like fun. Do you have to deal with obnoxious parents like Little League umps do?

Sari, I don’t see why going to a jazz club wouldn’t work. I take it listening to live jazz is the point. Re: the project, is the rest of the class in teams of three? Just wondering if your son and the other student will be doing the work of three people.

Red, I got the pun from the get-go but for some reason was imagining red shoes. Don’t ask me why.

Butters, glad you saw the doc and that this ailment has an easy fix. What’d he say about the foot? All healed?

Moooom, how is Rock Star at the grocery store? Does she love riding in the cart? I found I spent more when my kids were with me.
**
Moon Unit**, can’t wait to see the photos!

Swampy, sounds like a good dinner for a rainy day. I love dumplings. Moooom should put 'em in her stew.

I made an appointment for my annual wellness physical. Regence gives a $100 Amazon gift card/code if you do this within the first 3 months of the year. My PSP can’t see me until the 30th, so I scheduled with Quest Diagnostics for Monday morning.

I thought about skipping it this year, but a C-note is a C-note.

What’s the most horriblest, awfulest, tragicest thing that could happen to an Australian bear?

TP twactor twailer twuck fire, when there’s already a shortage!

Good afternoon, folks. Sounds like everyone is busy!

At the moment, I’m steaming 5lbs. of green beans. I’ll stick 'em in the freezer, once I get them all done, and properly bagged up. I LOVE stupid green beans. The vacuuming awaits, as does one load of laundry. The circus around here just never ends.

**nellie **- RoxStar has a ball in the grocery store. She says hi to everyone, she reads numbers and letters that she recognizes, and when we go to checkout, she tries to grab my credit card from the terminal. And as we leave, she says goodbye to everyone! Great adventure!

She had a 2 anna half hour nap, and she lunched. We got our groceries, then came home and played on the swing. Now it’s time for me to start the stew for supper. And get the shirts out of the dryer. Some chores never end.

She must brighten many people’s days. I love how long she naps!

You’re far more accepting than I. I only love smart green beans. I do love human beans, though, and heaven knows many of 'em don’t score too high on the ol IQ test.

Aren’t a lot of green beans pea-brains?

Hello my friends-

Sari is your son a music major?

Neli I hope to understand Imgur and show off the photos. So happy to see you are a walker, also. I love to walk. If the day comes when I can’t it will be a tuff adjustment.

Mooom I know there is a FCD, but I have never been introduced to Mel. And you are sleeping with him. Is there a kinky side to your life?

Yesterday was a long day.

The ortho surgeon doesn’t do appointments. Which is normal here. So, I waited 3.5 hours for my turn. The doc is nice and speaks Maya, which is a plus. He gave me three days of antibiotic shots free (two a day for three days). The nurse charges one dollar to deliver the goods. Then ten days of antibiotic pills. The internal medicine doc says that you can’t kill the bacteria. Best option is amputation. But, the thumb is 50% of the hand. Since this is the second attack, I am considering it. I could do the space bar with the left hand.

I did pressure the doc for the password for the WiFi. I mean, if we are to wait 3.5 hours, at least make it entertaining. He said he would consider it. He said the gifted shots were not physician samples, and he paid 25 dollars each for them. And only charged 15 dollars for the visit. He is a generous doc.

After the wait, I went to the cantina for three beers and botanas. Took a taxi home as I walked 5 kilometers already. The taxi driver was nice and allowed Kiko to ride also.

Got home and did the siesta. woke up and went to the movie/food pairing club. Good time!

Today, up early for the injection then home for watermelon, Pineapple and cantalope. Noce thing about living in the tropics is never a frost and always fruit in season.

Well folks, tonight is my schedeld Skype with Rosalee.

Will be back tomorrow/

They are!

That would be my good buddy, Mel(atonin), who helps me fall asleep. He’s got a couple of friends in the same business: Ben(adryl) and Al(cohol). I’m partial to Mel.

The beef soup I made from the keto recipe was amazingly good. I’ll hold on to it for when we transition off keto - it needs N.O.T.s and more carrots, and maybe cabbage (which I could actually add now.) It was a well-marbled hunk of chuck and the fat made for a really rich broth. Yum!

Dishes are washing now. I think I’ll assume the afghaning position. It’s been a busy day.

butters, I did brinner tonight too, with a side of leftover Indian fried cabbage.

metal mouse, my dad was a strawberry blonde when he was young, but by the time I could remember, he had gone pretty grey. Once it was all white, it looked great. His brother was a carrot top who was called Rusty in school.

Irked, came home, walked the dog and cleaned the kitchen counters and the bathroom. Such an exciting life. :stuck_out_tongue: I may (or may not) wrap up a project in the studio tonight.

What is Indian fried cabbage? I gave up meat for Lent and need new veggie items.

Didn’t anyone gnash their teeth and rend their garments while I was gone?

WhadIMiss??

Oh, hi Becks. You’ve been gone??:cool::p:p:D

Caught up on your other thread, use that one but keep us informed of any mundane things that happen.

moon unit, hope the thumb stays with you, I think you’re pretty attached to it…

nellie, been coaching soccer for many years, not too much trouble with parents as most of them haven’t been brought up with the game so don’t know that much, but a few can be pushy. I just smile and get on with what I’m doing. When I referee, I tend to be a bit tougher (haven’t thrown anybody out yet, but one of these days…

Need to call the A/C folks, they’re giving $10 off the annual HVAC inspection, and even if it hasn’t broken 60F today, better to be ready than not.

Everybody take care.
