We would miss the holiday advantage if we did it in June, resulting in an attendance problem (unless people change their minds about weekends). In any event, I am available either month except for 6/21-25 when I will be participating in the NC-DC AIDS Ride.
I’m still leaning towards Plan A.
Has anyone seen Bricker or AWB lately? I mean, I’ve seen AWB, but I am suprised he’s not chimed in yet. Haven’t seen Bricker in a while.

Well, Tris will not be less happy, just less likely to be there at all. I work weekends. My days off are Wednesday and Thursday, but I can arm wrestle my boss into almost any weekday off, and have boatloads of leave. Taking off a weekend day necessarily ruins one of my coworkers weekends. I just did it in February, and again this month, so . . . Well, you know.
The entire state of Maryland, and DC are “across the Big Water” from my point of view and METRO is pretty much my only option. Walking a mile when I get there is no big deal. Getting home requires leaving with enough time to walk to METRO, which is a tad early for me, since I rise at the crack of noon each day.
For the latter half of May, I am almost late enough from this last little vacation that I wouldn’t mind stiffing someone at work, but we should decide fast, before the May schedule goes up, so I can make my boss do the dirty deed. (otherwise I have to ask someone to change their schedule.) In that case, for a guaranteed Satanic visit, I could see it happening for me.
This time I Guarantee Digital Images! Sony Mavica, and I will give copies to anyone who will donate server space. (Such copies could be handed to the person at the event, since the camera uses floppies.” With the right sort of connections, this dope fest could be in a thread with links before all of us get home!

Items currenly on the table:
Plan A: Monday 5/29 is a holiday, so that would permit the maximum number of people at attend on the Sunday prior and not have to check out too early.
Plan B: If not Sunday 5/28, then what about Monday? Since it is a holiday, most (all?) of us don’t work and could meet in the middle of the day (say, 3-8, getting us all home before our bedtimes).
New! Lucretia’s Plan C: The weekend of June 17th, which will allow Bluesman to make it & Give Tris time to butter up the schedule meister at work.
Also, we need to hear back from a few people who had problems with weekends- do you include Sunday in that statement? (I am well aware that Sunday is technically the weekend, but I assumed that people who said weekends were no good were talking about Friday & Saturday nights).

One thing to keep in mind about the Memorial Day weekend near College Park/Greenbelt is that the NCAA lacrosse championships are at U of Md and they draw like 75,000 people for the games. Some places might be pretty crowded; it depends on how many out of the area teams make it.
Given that my May is looking like the Month From Hell ™, I vote for Plan C.

BTW- 647, as someone whose been involved in the lacrosse scene for the last 10 years, Towson and UMBC won’t be there, Hopkins and Maryland don’t have a prayer of making the Final Four ( I would be VERY suprised ), But Loyola’s got a good shot of making the FF. Don’t expect them to be playing Monday, tho, championship is gonna be Sryacuse/Virginia. 'Cuse has a hell of a defense, but Va’s got depth like I’ve never seen. Should be a great game. And only about 40,000 usually go.

Well hell, I’m just royally pissed that I dropped off the face of the SDMB around the time the first DC-area one happened. I’m not sure what the word is with the Olentzero family on MemDay weekend (more than likely Mrs O. will want to go see the sibling and kids), but a weekday evening might be good for me. My only restriction is Thursdays; everything else would be good. I’m leaning towards Plan C just 'cause I like June better but I’m open as far as dates are concerned. Just let me know what’s been decided and I’ll pencil it into the datebook. I’m not missing two of these in a row!
