Well gee whiz, yet another band-naming thread!!
I like these because I’ve been a rock guitar player for a long time, and I like the crazy names people can dig up. I might as well point to a page on my website that has a “Band Name Generator”:

Actually, it generates names similar to 1960’s psychedelic groups. Names like
Hungry Locomotive Choir
Einstein’s Sinister Stockbrokers
Screaming Crayon Revival

I think the whackiest name it ever generated was “Disappointed Helium Pirates”.

On rare occasions, it actually generates a name a band might actually want to use. (Gee, I’d better fix that as quickly as possible).

Boom Zen (it’s a play on a German slang term for having sex)

Exactly what I was going for. Let the music say who you are…then you could spin the Candyland album covers to be dark and ominous, a bit ironic relative to the actual name of the band.

It immediately makes me think of the movie Django Unchained, though.

See, it’s already pretty creepy, half of their work’s already done.

The Dööm Louts

Now this is brilliant. You should copyright that.

They’ve got not one…but, two…Two Lead EMO Vocalists! :frowning:

Jettison Deathtrain

Yes, but do the logo in Arial, and see if anyone notices. Or use Times New Roman just to irritate people.

Off the top of my head:

Arsenal of Doom, a line from “Demolition Man” by The Police.

Zinc Alloy, a T.Rex reference.

Neuroblast.

Aneurysm Hook, a tool used by embalmers and pathologists.

Scrotus
Bleeding Romanovs
Closed For Renovations

When I was in University (there was conflict in Crimea at that time too), I was in a band* called the Methylated Spirits.

  • In a very wide use of the definition, given only one of us played a musical instrument (the guitar). Our best song was called the “The Sound of Silence”, which was created by leaving the tape running while going off to the pub!

Cadaver Dogs

Circular Jerky
