I knocked off work early, then tailgated. I am now an official member of the East Gate Tailgate group, Got to hang out with my “just friend”:), too(she buys tickets from me).
Hope they find a solution, Bumba.
Congrats, picu.

Best to ya, Bumba, and make sure you listen to your doctors, dammit. None of this “I feel fine, quit nagging me” crap, got it??
Yes, I’m up ridiculously early on a Saturday. Stoopit dog started barking at 4:30. I took her out and got back into bed, but I couldn’t fall asleep again, so I gave up. But we get an extra hour tonight, so maybe I’ll get it back then. Or I’ll deal with an idiot dog who wakes me at 3:30 instead.
Today is Hazardous Waste day at the dump. We’ll be taking all the assorted cans of paint from the shed and the basement, including paint that was left behind by the previous owners. That’ll free up a few square feet of floorspace in the shed, for sure. I’ve also got to do some laundry, and it probably wouldn’t hurt for me to run the vacuum across the carpets. Another exciting weekend in FairyChatLand!
Good morning, Happy Saturday, and don’t forget to change your clocks tonight, if it’s applicable to you!
Good luck, Bumba.
I’m up and almost ready to leave for my show. I don’t know if it’s because it’s early and I’m tired or what, but the latest post by The Bloggess had me sitting here literally laughing out loud over and over again.
Ok, off I go!
Up, caffeinated, off to irk. Getting new tires for Deathmobile today.
I am tired and full of blurf today. That is all.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 48 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 68 and sunny. Not much in the way of plans today. I need to make a casserole of some sort and some tea for Sunday brunch at the church house tomorrow. The Luteruns are joinin’ us for The Feast of All Saints. The other good thing is there are two small aluminum pans (small bein’ a relative term here as there’s probably at least ten pounds of meat) of <snerk> butt <snerk> in the church freezer that I need to go put into the fridge to thaw so’s it can get warmed up tomorrow mornin’. Also, OYKW wants to go eat N.O.L. at the really good Mexican place. He also wants to go by  Wally*World.
Bumba appropriate/inappropriate appendages will be crossed. CHF is a lot more treatable these days. Like MOOOOOOM said, listen to the doctor, young man!
doggio I’m impressed! People by tickets just to hang out with ya?
:: Wonders just what the term “special bear” means. ::
Ok, I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed.
Happy Sattidy Y’all!
Happy Weekend!
I have been up a while. I am not sleeping at the moment and I have been awake since about 4ish. urgh.
Coffee is being ingested and lots of it. Then no real plans today and mr ems does not have to work. Whoohoo! What will we do to entertain ourselves…
Ems, I just read online that there were 3 (three!) earthquakes in central Oklahoma, so maybe that’s why you’ve been awake since 4 am?! Good to know you’re okay!
I’m still here, just kinda hibernating. I’ve got a couple of doctor appointments next Monday and Tuesday but after that it’s smooth sailing until Thanksgiving, I hope. I’ve been reading, and am thinking of and/or praying for those who need it.
Swampy, my rumbly tummy has been sated for the while with some plain no-fat yogurt (yes, I actually love it!) with a few blueberries thrown in. Later today, I’m making a ziti pasta bake, and I think I might make some banana waffles for later on this morning. I’ve got a couple of very ripe bananas that need to be used.
Happy Saturday all.
mmmmmms I suggest a Jenga marathon. Hours of entertainment there!
Casserole is bakin’ away. Tea is steepin’ away. Soon as le casserole is done we shall head out to go by the church house, Wally*World  and N.O.L..
Of course I will need a nappy poo this afternoon as I shall feel faint after the trauma of  Wally*World.
Giant mushroom omelette has been split three ways and gobbled up.
'Tis a bee-yoo-tee-ful day here and I’m taking four - count 'em! - FOUR dogs to the dog park. This should prove interesting. LOL!

The above was typed by Dipsey. I think he’s ready to go!
Happy Saturday!
Morning all!
Fingers and toes crossed for ya Bumba, sure it’ll be fine…
I’m getting exceedingly tired of back troubles- it’s not exactly hurting at the moment, I just can’t stand up; except first thing in the morning (or afternoon today ) I get out of bed, and I’m fine- looks perfectly normal. As soon as I sit down for more thna a few seconds- say, to eat brekkie, I’m starting to hunch over, and it gets worse through the day until by night, I look like I’m preparing for takeoff.
Is really weird, and I’m really hoping today I can still stand by evening, it’s national pyromania day, and setting fire to things and blowing them up is one of my very favourite things!
Supposed to be re-writing my CV, urgh, have to write personal smarmy statement- does any employer ever care how awesome you claim to be? And any interview I get to at the moment, they’re going to take one look at me and I’ll fail. Unless maybe it’s a mad scientist. Or a bellringing group.
Happy weekend!
Bumba, my granny lived with CHF for 25+ years, and died at the age of 98. Take your meds and do what the docs tell you, and you’ll be fine.
What is Vernors? It’s actually Schweppes.
Sorry about the CHF. Take care of yourself please, and do what the doctors tell you (says the pot to the kettle).
Home from trips to the church house, Wally*World  and to eat N.O.L.. I survived. I knew y’all would be worried.
I foresee nappy poo time in the very near future.
Busy morning winding up. We went to breakfast (sweet N.O.T. pancakes - muy yum!!) and ran by Food Lion to get some half-n-half. **FCD **wants me to make him some oyster stew, and I had all the ingredients but that. Then we came home and loaded the truck with old paints and assorted other hazardous materials and hauled them to the dump. There was quite a line waiting, and when we pulled up and dropped the tailgate, the guy there yelled “A little help here - we’ve got the motherlode!!!” yeah, lots of cans, some which were left here by the previous owners. We’ve lived here 7 years, so I’m pretty sure that paint probably isn’t very good.
We just got back, and I cleaned and installed the storm windows in the front screen door - a little extra insulation has got to help keep it warm. I’m also thinking of cleaning out the fireplace insert and starting a fire - maybe I’ll clean it now, but not start burning till later. I’ve got to empty the dishwasher and make the aforementioned stew. Plus I have a pile of medical bills here that need to be paid.
Speaking of which, **FCD **is thinking March or April for his surgicals. I’d rather he did it sooner, but it’s not my back, so my vote doesn’t count for much. With luck, my pension payments will be correct by that time, so him being off work won’t deplete the savings too much. Short Term Disability hardly pays anything - maybe a third of his regular pay. But it’s better than nothing.
I’m feeling chocolate withdrawal. This is not good… :dubious:
Coffee break. 5 hours till laundry.
Well I didn’t/don’t feel fine. That’s why I went to the Doc. Thanks for the nagging though everybody, The doc put me on a diuretic and potassium supplements right away. So now I have to pee every few minutes. Mon or Tues I start a beta-blocker. Yippee! On the other hand, she cut my blood pressure meds in half and is talking about taking me off Metformin altogether. I’ve also decided to go low-carb again. I have no heartburn and much less diarrhea when I go low-carb. But I want my pasta, dammit! Waaah!
ShortDrum have you ever tried chewing candied ginger for nausea? It works for me.
We’re at the Public Market again today, and it’s cold in here! It’s in a big old barn with little to no heat and it’s upper 40s, low 50s. The things I do to [del]unload[/del] sell this soap.
Well, I’d better post this while the router is up/working. It goes down about every 10 minutes or so.
Laters
Happy Saturday, all!
Yay on the art exhibit, picu!
Read, but retained very little.
Am cleaning and stuff.
Big fun.
Hugs.

If you took aspirin, that’s why. Aspirin makes the platelets slippery, so you don’t clot like normal. It’s why they don’t want you to donate if you’ve had aspirin in the last three days, and it’s a really bad idea to have surgery if you’ve had aspirin in the last couple of weeks.
It’s also why you give aspirin to people who might be having a heart attack, and why people who’ve definitely had a heart attack start an aspirin regiment.
And it’s why I recommended it for an easier draw. Did it at least help on that?
I have finally come to the recognition that I am a hypochondriac. It took me this long to admit it because when hypochondria is talked about, it’s usually with the implication that the person is just making shit up - either for attention or so they can get out of doing stuff. I already feel bad enough about all the stuff I lack the energy, attention span, or health for, so I really don’t want the label of “lazy drama queen”.
But, what I finally came to terms with is that it’s not about making stuff up. It’s about being hypersensitive to stuff my body does that anyone else would either not notice at all or notices and shrugs.
So, I’ve decided that unless part of my body falls off or explodes, I am just not going to worry about it. I’ll do the recommended preventative stuff. I’ll go to the doctor for my maintenance medications, and I’ll focus on diet and exercise. Otherwise, it’s got to fall off or explode if it wants my attention.
