Up early cuz Mr Rebo got up to go to work and I couldn’t sleep anymore. I made my list last night, and shortly I will start packing. I’m leisurely sipping my second cup of WTHU.
Thanks for the hugs, guys.

You can’t put your suerte in a sobre, but you can put your billete de lotería. And apropos of nothing, “Caminante, no hay camino” is one of my favorite poems.
Sorry about your cousin, Rebo
Middlebro had abig subcutaneous fat deposit on his back. He had surgery for a hernia last year and the doctors decided to take that deposit out as well; he joked they were going to do the front first and then flip him over like a pancake.
:grumble:
No blurf today. I’s WIDE awake. I got to work at a decent time, after a rare restful sleep. Soon after I settled in to my [del]throne[/del]desk, the phone rang. It was VWife.
“I got up because my surgical site hurt. It’s way swollen and purple. While I was getting medicine, a husky looks in the front window and startedfighting with Loki. The screen is al bent.”
:smack:
So I went home. Lots of dog prints on the porch. The screen wasn’t damaged, just pushed out of the frame. The surgical wound looks ugly, so I told her to call the surgeon’s office as soon as they open.
TVCTPMO is really fucking with me right now.
Pearl, that’s The Vast Conspiracy To Piss Me Off, just for the record.
Good morning all!
Missed your kitteh the first time around, Fil. Cute. And large.
?
Sorry about the your troubles with TVCTPMO, Bobbio.
Have had breakfast. Really good for a hostel. I had Cheerios, a blueberry muffin, a bagel with cream cheese, orange juice and coffee. Also got to meet people from the Spanish part of the Basque country, Serbia, Australia and China. The staff member in the dining room kept forcing everyone to introduce themselves, which is really what’s supposed to happen in places like this. It’s very institutional, but cheap, clean and with lots of interesting people. I spent about 1/2 an hour talking to a student from Serbia who is traveling with her Australian cousin. She just finished a four-month stint working as a waitress in a little town in Maine, saving up for her trip through the States. We also talked about literature and found we both enjoy finding how people write versions of the same stories through the ages. Lots more to tell, but can only stand to type so much on the iPad.
Hugs all.

Just got back to the orifice after a run with VWife to the surgeon’s office. No interventions for now, but she is definitely filling with fluid at the wound site. Anyone at work looking out the southside windows would have been entertained by the scene of me putting a medical corset on her out in the parking lot.
Gotta love having a medical professional (ok, or volunteer) in the family, gotta hate being that trained medico.
I finally realized last night who my annoying co-worker reminded me of. Then I had several more realizations:[ol]
[li]Telling her would not help our relationship in any way, except to end it.[/li][li]She might not believe me anyway.[/li][li]My life has become extremely boring.[/li][/ol]FTR, she reminds me of a housemate that was a bisexual hooker who turned tricks with her Ukrainian lover under overpasses. One of the most stunningly beautiful women I have ever met and incredibly sweet, but dumber than a bag of hair and very likely no longer among the living, considering her career choices.
I’m glad my life is no longer **quite **that interesting, but I’m not sure it has to be as dull as it is now, either.
Lastly, my angry outburst at work yesterday was over our fire drill. The person “in-charge” would not allow people to evacuate until she had taken roll call. As in she blocked the stairwell door until roll call was complete. Lots of other issues with her, but that was the icing on the cake.
:smack::smack::smack::smack:, with bonus :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Evacuate first, take names later. So sayeth the former fahrman…
Jeez, Shadow, that’s so wrong on so many levels. My office has two fire safety people for every ten employees, and their job is to make sure all offices and restrooms are empty, then they leave. If someone is missing, a security guard (if it’s a drill) or a firefighter goes looking.
Great kitty pics, nut!
That is wrong, Shadow.
Sorry about TVCTPMO, bobbio.
We had puff-pastry spanikopita last night. I tried adding some kale in addition to the spinach, but I didn’t like it as well. Oh well.
Whew - I’m so late, it’s almost as if I was still working!!!
Had a terrible night last night. OK, not all terrible - I did finish the afghan - but I could NOT fall asleep. And Scruffy was barking to go out at 11 - I could have killed her!! And I know I was up at midnight, because I remember looking at the clock. So when Scruffy barked again at 5 and **FCD **got up for work, I was in major zombie mode. However, I was awake enough to reset the alarm for 8, and once my sweetie was gone, so was I. Even at that, when the alarm went off at 8, I was hard asleep.
But I got up and ended up going to class early, which was good. I finished the underglaze on my other big vase, did a random bit of underglazing on my ball-o-yarn bowl, then glazed both of them with clear. They’re in the kiln room awaiting firing. My bobble head and flower pot set have both been fired - I should be able to glaze them on Tuesday. Yay! Altho I’ll bring the bobble head home first so **FCD **and I can figure out how to do the bobble mechanism.
**gt **- the weather still looks good for Sat - have you decided if you want to do something other than the Dopefest?
**Filbert **- I still can’t get over owning a zoo - that is just too cool, as is the kitteh.
swampy, do I assume correctly that I don’t need to worry about that medicare stuff till I’m lots closer to 65?
**BBBobbio **- I think I can sum it up by saying: sux to be you…
Shadow - roll call in a “burning” building? Sounds like your in-charge moron need some training, or swift application of a clue-by-four.
I’m sure there’s more, but you can just pretend I reacted in a suitable manner. Happy Thursday!!
And you thought I was making this shit up…

I am in the process of sending the boyfriend packing. I don’t have anything more to say to him, I am just done with the bullshit. Mummper thoughts, prayers, whatever would be most welcome.
Thanks in advance guys, you are the best.
boys are such poopyheads sometimes…
{{{kai}}}
I agree boyfriends can be poopyheads at times. Seriously though wiki I’m sorry you’re goin’ through this. Good thoughts, prayers and if needed, pointy sticks headed out your way.
I’s home! Gonna go attend to dindin. Steak, sallit and friggin’ good N.O.T.. Easy and nummy!
Chickie teriyaki, rice, and broccoli for supper tonight. It’s smelling yummmmmm!
Hey, cooks, here’s a question for you. I have a can of caramel - actually sweetened condensed milk that was simmered for about 3 hours till it became caramel-y. It’s pretty thick - can I mix something in it to make it work as a dip for apple slices? Or will it loosen up if I heat it a bit and mix it up, then let it cool? Ideas??
Are we back on?
MOOOOOOM it should loosen up if you heat it up. It’s kinda like dulce de leche (I think that’s how it’s spelled) which is essentially slow simmered sweetened condensed milk. It’s super good on ice cream too!
So ends today cookin’ with da bear lesson.
Well, shoot. Wrote up a nice long post and then lost it.
Short version: sorry kai[, caramel will be fine if you listen to swampy and … sorry, TVCTPMO got to me today, so I need Saturday morning to finish off what I was going to see today - I’ll tell you all about it en route to the fest.
And now I’ma gonna go plan tomorrow to avoid some of the dumb stuff that got me today.
Hugs all.

I’m sorry about the boyfriend woes, wiki.
They finally, FINALLY got the stuff installed on one of my work computers correctly, so after lunch I spent the afternoon trying to rebuild queries because I can’t use the legacy system anymore. I was fairly successful with some of them; the others will have to wait because they don’t have the new system completely loaded with all of the data yet. For instance, the purchased care data stops at FY 2009. Hello? We’re in FY 2012 now. Stuff should be in there through Aug of this year at least.
I got out of work a little late, but had to stop at the grocery store to pick up some stuff to mail out to my son. By the time I fought traffic, shopped, paid for the groceries, and gassed up, it was too late to go tot the UPS store. So, I’ll mail his stuff off tomorrow.
I’m going to have get dinner going. Fortunately, I have leftover potato soup and bacon crumbles, so that’s what we’ll eat.
Hugs and smooches to all.
