Not much snow here, maybe about 3-4 inches.
Sah-son went out and shoveled, and the ground was covered again before he was done.
It didn’t take him long though, not even a half hour to do our walk and the neighbor’s.
It is friggin’ cold outside. According to my phone it’s 21 degrees but feels like -1. Kind of windy out too.
I had a piece of triple fudge chocolate cake and a pretzel for dinner.

Aw, thanks, Butters! I got up early because I was worried about Higgs - she wouldn’t go out to pee yesterday, so I know she had to be hurting and I didn’t want to clean carpets. I was out there in a robe, hoodie, and boots shoveling snow off the leaves by the house where she likes to pee. I also cleared a small patch out front. I finally got her to squat, so yay!
Near as I can tell, we got 9-10" and it’s still coming down, altho at the moment it’s more rain/sleet than snow. The weather channel said we might get 3 more inches today, but it appears the worst has passed. I’ll try to get out and shovel in shifts. My sweetie won’t be able to help - his back is just too bad, and I don’t want him out there. But if I don’t see a plow guy come by, I’ll just clear it a little at a time.
Meanwhile, I think I’ll go back to bed. Happy Saturday. blech.

I don’t know why I am up so early but I have been productive. I walked King Louie, unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher and made a breakfast casserole which is baking now.
All the rain has cleared out and it is cool but not too bad yet. I slept very well for a change.

I tossed some oatmeal/rice/granola mix out on my porch. That made a couple of wrens very happy.
Speaking of the latter ---- a local college basketball team has been stuck in this storm for 18 hours on a bus somewhere. They were returning from a game in DC. A local radio jock noted that “If they were football or wrestling, at least there would be some meat on the bones when they do the Donner Party thing.”

It’s insane outside. I’m in a ham radio net to gather information for the county about the current weather conditions. So far, it seems to be about 21 degrees outside with about 15 to 16 inches of snow, give or take. This is the lower limit of what the weather-guessers were predicting, and given that the snow is still coming down, we’re probably going to get a whole lot more snow before this thing blows over.
And for those who are curious, I live just south of Harrisburg, PA.
All I saw driving through PA was corn and barns with hex signs.
Dad was W5VRM until he died in 1972. The call sign was eventually given to some one else.

We have blizzard. I don’t know how much, the snow on the deck is up to Sah-son’s knee, and the snow is still coming down. The dog won’t go off the deck to pee. Just as well because if he went off the deck he’d probably get stuck and we’d have to go out and get him.
It’s weather like this that makes me so happy I don’t pet sit anymore.
It also reminds me of how old I’ve gotten. When I was younger I took snow like this as a challenge. I’d be out there digging my truck out, determined I would not be stuck. Now I’m like, I ain’t going out in that shit.
