Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) reflected yesterday that the younger couple who moved in across the street are crazy because they were playing in the snow.
ha! I don’t know the meaning of the word danger!(Gordie ate everything in my dictionary between cervix and xylophone
)
Happy Birthday wiki!!!
Happy Wiki Day
Sleet/snow mix yesterday. Today it’s big fluffy snow. The birds are all big and fluffy also. They’re very happy that I put out some grains for them.
Side note: I did not know that Baltimore Orioles (birds, not athletes) lived this far south. One just hopped up to my window and looked at me.
Happy Wiki Day!
North Ali-bama got about 1-3", depending on where you’re located, the roads are not covered but they are icy, so I think I’ll hibernate today. Supposed to hit a high of 42F tomorrow, so it should be a short visit by old man winter.
My across-the-street neighbor moved about 5-6 weeks ago, the new folks are moving in today–boy, can they pick’em. All I know about them so far is that there is a motorcycle in the garage.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FCM!!!
**FCD **did the dishes. I cleaned the ashes out of the pellet stove, de-ashed the glass, and refilled the hopper, and it just fired up, so warmth shall ensue. I also did a quick bit of vacuuming.
Our hall bathroom has a solar tube skylight, but it’s kinda dim in there, thanks to the accumulation on the roof. Same with the tube over the breakfast bar, but there are enough windows nearby to mitigate it.
Next on my list: Baking a cake and watering my plants. Note the absence of the term “shovel” anywhere in there…
happy birthday wiki
It is 33[sup]o[/sup] American. I expect the 6" of snow to be gone momentarily.
**FCD **just took Higgs out. She peed, then took off after a vehicle going down the side street. Well, took off for about 5 feet till she was buried. She’s back in the house.
Cake is in the oven and it’s smelling yum in here. So there’s that.
My truck is almost buried and it’s still snowing hard. I can see the antenna, the side mirror and part of the back tire. It was a waste for Sah-son to shovel last night. The plow has been down the street a few times. There are a few people out walking but nobody is driving.
They were put up just for your visit. You left; they worked.
Shoveled over a foot of snow already & it’s coming down at over an inch/hour now.
Heard on the toob that we should check on the elderly, make sure they’re inside & okay, help them shovel, etc. So, ummm, Moommm, iffn you had your party today, we’d all be there with shovels. ![]()
Spidey, between you and my BIL, that’s two *elderly *comments.
We are *not *amused!
Cake’s done and cooling. Butter is coming to room temp for the buttercream frosting. Yum! I’ve decided on poke chops for supper because I saw them in the freezer when I opened it to get ice. One less thing to worry about.
]Happy birthday Moooooom!
Happy birthday wiki!
We ended up with 6" of snow. We were expecting it, but later in the day yesterday. It refroze the slush on the roads last night, so everything is still pretty quiet. I’m doing laundry and designing a birthday card for another friend today. I will make it sometime tomorrow. Other than that, I’m watching tv, playing video games and trying out the coloring book I got for xmas.
Sah-son stepped out into the yard and the snow if halfway up his thigh - so at least two feet and counting.
I thought we were not supposed to get it too badly here.
I need to get some lunch and then log in to irk. I should have bee irking already but other things got in they way.
Upon seeing a piece of “bread pudding” on the Aubrey Facebook page, it struck me that it translates into Eng…the North American Dialect, rather, as “Dessert Bread”. Believing, in prejudice, that “the English boil everything”, I had believed bread pudding to be pieces of bread soaked in thickened milk. :dubious:
Who would have possibly imagined that Facebook could fight ignorance? I digress, but in a learned fashion.
Spiderman wishes to know if you will be allowed amusement at the Home?

The drifts across the courtyard have now obscured a good 90% of that apartment’s window. And it’s still coming down. The maintenance crew did their first pass with the plow in the parking lots and the blowers on the walkways, but I think it will be for naught based on the latest report. I predict when I come out from the bedroom tomorrow morning, the window across the way will be completely blocked by drifts and new snow.
Howdy Y’all! Home from funeralizin’ over to the church house. ‘Twas a nice and well attended funeral. It was short (for Whiskypalians anyway) and well done with bits of humor sprinkled in durin’ the Homily cause Dick had a very special, borderin’ on wicked sense of humor.
That has been my accomplishment for the day. It’s cold out! Sunny, but cold.
We shall ingest leftovers from last night for dindin. Sounds like a good plan to me.
And now this…
