Supper was pretty good. Cake later since we’s stuffded right now. It’s dark out, but I’m sure it’s still snowing. Supposedly, it’ll end before midnight. We shall see…
Dindin has been scrounged. OK, actually leftovers from last night but 'twas still pretty tasty. We get visited by the Bishop tomorrow at the church house. I am not scheduled to do anything, so I get to plunk my bohunkus in a pew and absorb all the carryin’s on. Yeah, I will stand and kneel as appropriate but still I get to sit a lot.
That would be my bed and I’ll be heading there within the hour because the power just went out again. That wind is kickin’.

I think it has finally stopped snowing.
The dog now won’t get off the step to get down to the deck to pee. There was a path but it didn’t last long. Then the damn dog started barking because the neighbor was shoveling the porch. I wanted Sah-son to go out and help her but he stayed up all night and went to bed around 2 this afternoon, so he’s not much good for anything right now. He got up to help with the dog, the barking woke him again, but he’s not going to shovel anytime soon.
I had a nap so I guess it’s back to irk time.

It has been above freezing, American, for ten hours, and the darned snow is still out there. :dubious:
One and only one bright spot in this terrible month for us… All of our W2s, 1099s and whatnot have arrived, so our taxes are filed.
The pesky part was tiny dollar amounts on some of those 1099s, but if I left off that 1099-DIV showing a $17 dividend paid to me, even though it was supposed to be re-invested, the IRS would certainly find out and hound me for it two years later, at which point, I’d probably owe $394 in penalties and interest.
We got off lucky here although the lovely Pittsburgh Streets Department (note - sarcasm in my tone) decided to simply plow and not salt at all until later this afternoon. Which meant that the lovely snow you could maybe get some iota of traction was removed from all the lovely ice against the road surface. When we were leaving at 9am this morning about the best I could do was second gear until we hit Rte 28 – then I managed 3rd. Once I hit Natrona Heights it was 5th and fly. By 3pm when we were coming home it was basically just wet roads. Annoying but not like the real hardship Morgantown and other places got.
