Bedding down in the MMP

**sari **- good thing you don’t drive a little sports car - you wouldn’t even see the lump!

Could you get a plow attachment for your mower MMOOOMMM? Don’t know too much bout snow.

Wow! Just wow Sari

Made it home last night after work. Managed to park within a block of my house.

Will start shoveling soon.

The drive home last night was the best. Passable interstates, all the plow trains going the other way, not another soul on the road. As nice as it gets.

Butters, we have a plow blade that my sweetie wants to install on the mower. Unfortunately, even if he had done it already, this snow is too deep for our little mower. On the other hand, we might have done it all along had it been available. Oh well - next year…

Perhaps we could have a roll call with location.

I am making a list of places not to live in, you see. :dubious:

Lawn Guylindt checking in. It’s very white out there. Pics on my fb page

Its one of the reasons NASA never hired me??? :stuck_out_tongue:

Or one of these maybe?

(You ever notice how we all pull together to plot various forms of mayhem on Flytrap?)

Spidey was once frightened by a picture of Jim Stafford?

Does it count if I thought of her when I was at worship myself?

<going into former mechanic and towtruck driver mode> Well there’s your problem. You need a taller roof antenna.

Western Merrylande.
I’m so happy I went grocery shopping last Thorsday, I think my truck will be buried for a week.

On an unrelated note, when I got home from church I caught a couple episodes of The Strange Truth on National Geo or something. It reminded me a lot of the Straight Dope and the SDMB - leaning a little left, kind of snarky, with interesting little bits of information. Any semi-serious news-like program that works Godzilla and Dr Strangelove into it in a way that seems totally natural is worth catching if you get the chance.

Now to spend the day working in paperwork for our beloved DCNR. Lucky me.

Florida Keys-Not a flake in sight…er wait…plenty of flakes but no snow!

No. Illinois with no snow and normal temps–upper 20s, low 30s. I have a migraine with the sick to my stomach. Cancelled dinner plans and am staying in my pjs all day, watching black and white movies. Right now, The Unholy Night from 1929.

I have declared my shoveling DONE! The truck is dug out so when the guys come back and plow the drive, it should get out quite easily. I also made a little path on the porch since we’re expecting a FedEx delivery on Tuesday. If I get bored, I might dig out more of a path for Higgs, but for now, I’m done. And tahred. And sweaty.

Surely the first two are most appropriate for a cement pond.

As I was clearing off my car, my landlord stopped by to say his daughter has hit a rough spot and needs a cheap place to stay. So now I have to find a new apartment by May. Depending on how it goes, I’ll see if he’ll let me stretch it to June.

Doing my best not to freak the hell out. The last time this happened I did, so this time I’m going to make a plan and get a new place without panicking. Plus, I had a crazy idea that just might work maybe possibly in my wildest dreams. Not going to say anything about that because it probably won’t work. Still: not gonna freak out about it.

Bummer about the move, BigKitty, but at least you have time. It’s not like you got 30 days notice, so there’s that. Good luck with your crazy idea! Unless your crazy idea involves moving in with me, in which case, um, not a good idea.

WetOne hugs on the migraine! I had one yesterday and had to cancel my haircut.

Cat - hugs and do not freak out about moving. You’ve got plenty of time and I’m sure you’ll find something better. Thinking good thoughts about a bigger, better, cheaper place with a good location.

Cuddled up with a cat and two dogs right now. My Swiss mix thinks he’s a lap dog.

Only a little rain today, so we too are seeing that strange, bright light in the sky.

Plans for day include manicure, groceries and laundry. Possibly later I’ll move onto freaking out about work.

BigKitty - he gave you a good lead time. Two years ago mine told me on 3/15 that I had to be before 5/1

Howdy Y’all! Home from deheathenization etc. The reception turned into N.O.L. what with stuff like ham 'n bizkits, and pork loin on rolls amongst other goodies.

{{{WetOne}}} hope the migraine feels better soonest.

{{{BigKitty}}} glad you’re not stressin’ out over the news. May you find a better, bigger, and cheaper place soonest.

'Tis cool but sunny here in south Jawja. OYKW has declared it to be nap time. I do believe I shall join him.

Laterz!

Sacramento, CA, no white junk for miles (we do have mountains not horribly distant). Gray and gloomy today, yes, but no scheduled precipitation.

Today’s agenda involves deheathenating, picking up DH’s prescription, laundry, and some school-related organizing.
